• Colts' Cam Taylor-Britt: Gets contract from Colts

  Indianapolis signed Taylor-Britt (foot) to a one-year contract Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Taylor-Britt spent his first four seasons with Cincinnati and started 40 of his 47 regular-season games during that span. However, he started just two of his eight appearances last year and missed the rest of the campaign due to a foot injury he suffered in mid-November. Taylor-Britt is presumably back to full health and will look to carve out a role in the Colts' secondary, which is led by cornerbacks Sauce Gardner (calf) and Charvarius Ward (concussion), though the latter is said to be considering retirement.

Marco Wilson will likely have an expanded role in Cincinnati's secondary while Taylor-Britt is sidelined.

  Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Monday that Taylor-Britt (foot) is expected to require surgery for a Lisfranc injury suffered during the team's loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports. Taylor-Britt was present at team facilities Monday in a walking boot and moving with the help of a knee scooter, per Morrison. Lisfranc procedures carry a multi-month recovery timeframe, so if it's confirmed that Taylor-Britt requires surgery it will effectively end his 2025 campaign, and potentially, his tenure with Cincinnati. The 2022 second-round pick is in the final year of his rookie deal, and after having opened the season as one of the Bengals' starting outside corners, inconsistent performance led to his opportunity share declining, including being a healthy scratch Week 7. That said, prior to suffering his foot injury, Taylor-Britt's involvement on defense had been trending up again.

  Taylor-Britt (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings. As expected, Taylor-Britt won't play in Week 3 after not practicing Thursday or Friday. DJ Turner (hamstring) has been cleared to suit up, so Marco Wilson and DJ Ivey will be candidates for increased roles across from Turner. The Bengals' secondary will have its hands full trying to slow down All-Pro WR Justin Jefferson, but he'll be catching passes for the first time in regular-season action from Carson Wentz, who's starting in place of J.J. McCarthy (ankle).
