Badie reverted to Denver's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Badie played just three offensive snaps during Sunday's 13-6 loss versus the Steelers, but he managed to take his only carry for 16 yards. However, as long as Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin remain healthy, all other Broncos running backs will probably be on the outside looking in for significant playing time.

Badie was elevated from the Broncos' practice squad Saturday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Badie may get a chance to suit up Sunday against the Steelers, although his elevation does not guarantee it. Last Sunday against the Seahawks, Denver dressed three running backs with Blake Watson being a healthy scratch. However, due to Audric Estime (ankle) landing on injured reserve, it was expected Watson would make his NFL debut in Week 2. It's not clear yet if Badie's elevation is a sign of a change in plans or if the Broncos will roll with four active players in the backfield.

The Missouri product has only appeared in one regular-season game in that timeframe but will work to find more opportunities in 2024.

Badie has spent the majority of the year on Denver's practice squad, and he's now in line to appear in his first game since 2022 this Sunday. The 23-year-old's elevation could mean that the Broncos are preparing to be without running back Samaje Perine (knee) in Week 14.
