  • Quitoriano was not targeted over nine snaps in Sunday's 41-21 win over New England in Week 6. The 2022 fifth-round pick by Houston rejoined the Texans off the Bears' practice squad last week. He's not expected to see much activity in terms of targets, but the organization likes Quitoriano's blocking technique and considers him an extra offensive lineman.

  • The Texans signed Quitoriano off the Bears' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Quitoriano was a fifth-round pick by the Texans in 2022 and spent the previous two seasons with the team before being waived/injured and eventually cut just ahead of Week 1 last month. He spent roughly two weeks in Chicago and is now headed back to Houston, where he caught nine passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 14 targets across 16 regular-season games with the Texans. Quitoriano will slide in behind Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover on the depth chart after Brevin Jordan (knee, IR) suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 2.

  • The Bears signed Quitoriano to the practice squad Tuesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports. Quitoriano suited up for 16 combined games with Houston over the last two seasons. Now that he's healthy again after battling a calf injury during the preseason, Quitoriano will link up with Chicago and provide organizational depth at tight end.

Quitoriano (calf) was waived with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Quitoriano was set to spend the entirety of the 2024 campaign on IR, but this settlement will allow him to play this season, once he can prove himself healthy and he finds a franchise to sign with.

  • The Texans waived Quitoriano (calf) with an injury designation Tuesday. Quitoriano played in just seven regular-season games for the Texans in 2023 before finishing the year on injured reserve due to groin and oblique injuries. The 2022 fifth-round pick underwent surgeries for both injuries and entered training camp healthy, but he strained his calf in the Hall of Fame Game game against the Bears, which kept him out of the Texans' final three preseason games. Quitoriano will revert to Houston's injured reserve if he clears waivers, which will force him to sit for all of 2024 unless an injury settlement is reached.
