Brown secured two of his four targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Giants. Brown saw his offensive snap percentage increase in Week 2, playing 69 percent of snaps against the Giants after playing 55 percent of snaps in Week 1. The fourth-year wideout's four targets were also an improvement after he didn't see a single target in the Commanders' debut. Brown has the potential to develop into a key player in Washington's passing attack, as fellow receivers Luke McCaffrey, Olamide Zaccheaus and Noah Brown don't present much of a road block to increased involvement. The 24-year-old will look to take the next step to establish his role in the offense when the Commanders visit the Bengals in Week 3.

Brown started Saturday's preseason game against Miami and caught each of his three targets for 19 yards. All three receptions came from QB Jayden Daniels on the opening drive, but Brown rotated with Olamide Zaccheaus while Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson played nearly all the first-team snaps. Coach Dan Quinn suggested all the roles are up for grabs behind McLaurin, leaving Dotson, Brown, Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey to compete for playing time. Brown has done well this preseason with five catches for 74 yards on six targets, but he might end up in a rotation even if he's a Week 1 starter for the first time since his 2021 rookie season.

Coach Dan Quinn said Thursday that Brown has stood out at training camp, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports. The 2021 third-round pick is in the final year of his rookie contract and hoping to impress a new coaching staff after catching only 29 passes over his first three seasons. It sounds like the new coaches have taken notice, perhaps giving Brown a chance to compete with Luke McCaffrey, Olamide Zaccheaus and others for the third and fourth spots at wide receiver. Incumbent starters Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson still top the depth chart and figure to take the lion's share of WR targets.

Brown caught one of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants. An early ejection for Curtis Samuel didn't have much impact on Brown's playing time, as Byron Pringle and Jamison Crowder also took on some of the responsibilities of the No. 3 WR role. There's not much fantasy potential in an offense where even the top two wideouts -- Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson -- are struggling to produce.

Brown caught both of his targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-26 loss at Seattle. Brown played only 18 percent of snaps with Curtis Samuel returning from a toe/foot injury, but one of those plays was a 35-yard, game-tying TD with less than a minute remaining. The Seahawks responded with a field goal shortly thereafter, and Brown likely is looking at a depth role again in Week 11 against the Giants.
