  • Nixon finished the 2024 regular season with 88 tackles (61 solo), including 3.0 sacks, seven pass defenses (including one interception) and three forced fumbles across 17 games. Nixon's sack count in 2024 eclipses his combined total from the first five seasons of his NFL career, and the 27-year-old corner finished fourth on the Packers in total tackles behind Quay Walker (102), Isaiah McDuffie (97) and Javon Bullard (90). Nixon also showed his prowess as a returner, finishing with 528 kickoff-return yards on 18 attempts. Nixon is projected to be the Packers' second starting outside corner for the 2025 campaign, though whether that's opposite Jaire Alexander (knee) or someone else remains to be seen.

  • Nixon recorded nine total tackles (eight solo) and one pass defended in Sunday's 27-25 loss to the Vikings. Nixon tied Eric Wilson as Green Bay's third-leading tackler in Sunday's loss, trailing both Javon Bullard and Edgerrin Cooper, who each recorded 11 stops. The 27-year-old corner from South Carolina has had the most productive season of his career, logging 82 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks, seven passes defended and three forced fumbles over 16 appearances. Nixon is expected to remain one of Green Bay's top defensive playmakers, whether he starts in the slot or at outside corner, in the Week 18 matchup against the Bears.

  • Nixon recorded seven total tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also forcing a fumble during Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Vikings. Nixon made a huge play in the fourth quarter to keep the Packers in Sunday's contest, logging a strip-sack on Sam Darnold that led to a two-play touchdown drive for Green Bay. However, Nixon struggled in coverage throughout Week 4's loss, giving up five receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown while being targeted six times. The South Carolina product is expected to remain Green Bay's top nickel corner as the team takes on the Rams in Week 5.

  • Nixon registered seven tackles (six solo) and a sack in Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles. He also returned one kick for 24 yards. Nixon finished a clear third among Packers cornerbacks in Week 1 snaps, and he also picked up the first full sack of his career. He signed a three-year contract with Green Bay over the offseason, so expect him to continue filling a key role -- both on defense and special teams.

  • The Packers are re-signing Nixon to a three-year, $18 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Nixon was named a first-team All-Pro in both 2022 and 2023 as a return man, but last season is when he saw his defensive role heightened, playing a career-high 809 snaps with the majority of those coming as the Packers' slot corner. He remained extremely effective on kickoff returns, averaging an NFL-best 26.1 yards per return while leading the league in total kickoff returns (30) and yards (782). On defense, Nixon racked up 80 tackles (59 solo), one interception and 0.5 sacks.
