Cine has signed with Buffalo's practice squad, Dorian Alerte of the Bills' official site reports. Cine, who has seen action in 10 regular-season games in his young career, was originally thought to be heading to the Jets' practice squad, but it looks like he's instead chosen another AFC East team. Cine is a 2022 first-rounder, so this is probably the type of high-upside guy a team would want on the practice squad, considering the Bills are already working through injuries in the secondary.

It wouldn't be surprising to see him added to the active roster if he has a stretch of good health.

Cine was considered day-to-day heading into Saturday's preseason opener due to a leg injury, but the 2022 first-rounder was able to suit up. Cine is looking to catch onto the Vikings 53-man roster as a depth piece in the secondary.

Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday that Cine is dealing with a lower leg injury and is considered "day-to-day," Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Cine played in just seven regular-season games for the Vikings last season, partially due to a hamstring injury but he was also a healthy scratch for two games. He played eight snaps on defense and 83 snaps on special teams last year and posted one tackle. Cine is battling for a depth spot in the Vikings' secondary.
