The Seahawks placed McIntosh (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports. McIntosh was trying to defend his role from last year as the team's No. 3 running back, but his season will end before it started due to an ACL tear in the opening days of training camp. Damien Martinez and George Holani are now the favorites for the No. 3 job behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

McIntosh (knee) likely tore an ACL during practice Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Further testing needs to be done to confirm McIntosh's diagnosis, but the initial expectation is that the third-year RB suffered a major knee injury. If he did indeed tear an ACL, McIntosh would almost certainly need to miss the entire 2025 campaign. That would be a blow both to Seattle's running-back corps -- McIntosh was slated to be the team's No. 3 RB -- and to its special-teams unit, as he was expected to work as a kick returner as well. If McIntosh is unable to play this year, seventh-round rookie Damien Martinez could be asked to take on the third-RB role behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, while Steven Sims could handle lead kick-return duties.

McIntosh rushed three times for nine yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Packers. With Kenneth Walker (calf/ankle) out of the lineup, McIntosh served as Zach Chabonnet's primary backup while George Holani generated 10 yards on three carries as the No. 3 back. It's unclear if Walker will play in Week 16 versus the Vikings, but McIntosh's fantasy value is negligible regardless.

McIntosh could handle additional reps in Sunday's game versus the Cardinals because Kenneth Walker (ankle/calf) has been ruled out. Zach Charbonnet is expected to be the primary back, much like he was in Weeks 2 and 3 when Walker was inactive. During those games, McIntosh played 11 offensive snaps and carried the ball three times for 11 yards. Thus, McIntosh still shouldn't be started in most formats, but he's worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues in case Walker's injury lingers.

McIntosh rushed three times for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Dolphins. McIntosh received the first regular-season touches of his career in the big win over Miami. He likely won't play much in close games going forward, especially if Kenneth Walker (oblique) returns in Week 5 versus the Lions.
