  Tony Pollard has been banged up the last couple of weeks. If he were to miss Week 17, Tyjae Spears could have a monster game against Jacksonville in your championship game. Spears has 10 touches in three games this season. He's scored 11.9 or more points in two of those games.

  Tony Pollard is playing through an ankle injury, and Spears benefitted with a season-high 56 percent of the snaps in Week 15 against Cincinnati. He had his best game of the season also, with four carries for 5 yards and a touchdown and six catches for 87 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. Keep an eye on Pollard's practice status, and if he's out or limited in Week 16 at the Colts, then Spears would be a No. 2 running back in all leagues. And if Pollard plays as expected, then Spears can be a flex option, and the Colts are No. 6 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs.

• Titans' Tyjae Spears: Strong showing as pass catcher

  Spears rushed the ball four times for five yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals. He added six receptions on seven targets for 87 yards and an additional score. Spears has been surprisingly uninvolved in the Tennessee offense for much of the season, though he exploded for a big showing Sunday. He finished off the team's second possession with a one-yard touchdown leap, his only impact as a rusher in the game. However, Spears produced very well as a pass catcher with Mason Rudolph under center and the Titans chasing points in the fourth quarter, highlighted by a long gain of 43 yards as well as a 17-yard touchdown reception. Tony Pollard remains the lead back, though Spears may have be able to carve out a more significant role across the final four games of the season.

  Spears recorded six carries for 21 yards in Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Jaguars. He added one reception on two targets for two yards. Spears remained the backup to Tony Pollard in the loss, though he did see a significant increase in involvement compared to his one carry in Week 13. Spears had a strong pass-catching role to begin the season, though his current lack of involvement as a receiver further dings his fantasy value.

  Spears did next to nothing in the Week 13 blowout loss to Washington with one carry for 3 yards and no targets, but I still want to roster Spears in the majority of leagues. Before missing multiple games with lower leg injuries and a concussion, he had consecutive outings with at least 10.1 PPR points in Weeks 3 and 4. And he could be a lottery ticket if something were to happen to Tony Pollard. Spears is worth adding in all leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB, and he has a favorable upcoming schedule against Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Jacksonville in his next four games.
