  Spears is expected to play in Week 10 after missing the past three games with a hamstring injury. I'd consider using him as a flex in deeper leagues, as he plays in tandem with Tony Pollard. Prior to getting hurt in Week 6 against Indianapolis, Spears scored at 10.1 PPR points in his previous two games against Green Bay and Miami. It's a tough matchup against the Chargers, who are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, but Spears could be a factor in the passing game if the Titans are chasing points.

Sidelined since injuring his hamstring Week 6 against the Colts, Spears put himself in a position to return to action with back-to-back full sessions to end Week 10 prep. He'll thus be available Sunday behind the Titans' No. 1 RB Tony Pollard (foot), who followed a LP-DNP-LP practice regimen this week but also doesn't carry a designation into the weekend. Prior to his three-game absence, Spears averaged 9.0 touches for 38.0 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring one rushing TD in five outings this season.

  Spears (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Spears has been sidelined for each of the Titans' last three games with a hamstring injury, but his ability to take every rep Thursday suddenly makes him the healthiest running back of the top three options on the team's depth chart. Starter Tony Pollard (foot) downgraded from limited participation Wednesday to no activity Thursday, while third-string back Julius Chestnut (foot) was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant. The status of Pollard heading into Sunday's game against the Chargers is of greater import to Spears, who could find himself in a three-down role this weekend if Pollard is forced to miss his first game of the season. When he was available for the Titans' first six games, Spears had filled a complementary role behind Pollard and averaged 5.5 carries and 2.0 targets per contest during that stretch.

  Spears (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Spears is hoping to return Sunday against the Chargers after sitting out the previous three games. He has a chance to avoid a Week 10 injury designation by upgrading to full participation Thursday or Friday. Even if he suits up, Spears will likely be limited to a change-of-pace role behind Tony Pollard.

  Spears was expected to return in Week 9 against the Patriots but instead missed his third game in a row with an injured hamstring. Prior to getting injured in Week 6, Spears had scored at least 10.1 PPR points in two games in a row, and he can be a useful flex in deeper leagues when healthy. He's also a potential lottery ticket in case something happens to Tony Pollard, and Spears is worth up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB. If Spears suffers a setback and is not expected back in Week 10 at the Chargers, then add Julius Chestnut (8 percent rostered) in deeper leagues for 1 percent. In the past two games, Chestnut has 12 carries for 54 yards.
