• Cardinals' Elijah Higgins: Puts together career-best performance

  Higgins recorded seven catches (on eight targets) for 91 yards during Sunday's 26-19 loss to the Falcons. Higgins surprisingly matched standout TE Trey McBride (4-27-0) for the team lead in targets, and the former easily paced the Cardinals in both receptions and receiving yards. Additionally, Higgins more than doubled his previous career high in yards (45 in Week 2 of this season) Sunday. He did all of this with No. 1 WR Marvin Harrison (1-14-0 on three targets) back in action and Michael Wilson (2-52-1 on three targets) in the midst of a recent hot stretch. Higgins likely will take a step back in the pecking order for targets in Arizona's final two games of the campaign, especially as Harrison gets healthier.

  Higgins is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston after missing Friday's practice with an illness, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. He hasn't seen enough targets to warrant fantasy consideration, but Higgins has taken over more playing time recently due to Arizona's numerous WR injuries. Josiah Deguara and Pharaoh Brown could be tasked with larger roles if Higgins is declared inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.

Higgins started alongside top TE Trey McBride in Week 14 and logged a season-high 66 percent snap share as a number of injuries depleted the Cardinals' receiving corps, but the increased workload didn't translate into production. In addition to his usage on offense, Higgins tallied one tackle on kick coverage. He sports a meager 19-179-0 line on 23 targets through 13 games this season, keeping him off the fantasy radar.

  Higgins was not targeted while playing 27 of the Cardinals' 76 offensive snaps in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Jaguars. The 25-year-old went without a target for the second time this season while operating as the primary backup to Trey McBride, who caught nine of 10 targets for 79 yards in the Week 12 loss. Higgins has now appeared in all 11 of Arizona's games this season, catching 16 of 20 targets for 162 yards. He's expected to contribute both offensively and on special teams in the Week 13 matchup against the Buccaneers.

  Higgins recorded three catches (on three targets) for 30 yards during Monday's 27-17 win in Dallas. Working behind a top receiving tight end like Trey McBride doesn't leave much in terms of targets for Higgins, but the latter took advantage of his looks Monday en route to a season best in receptions. Furthermore, Higgins has settled into the No. 2 TE role over the last three games with Tip Reiman (ankle) out for the season, receiving 40 to 45 percent of the offense snaps during that span. Expect Higgins to hover in that range and get the 1.8 targets per game that come with it as long as McBride is available.
