Hall rushed 14 times for 62 yards while catching seven of eight targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans. A 30-yard run and a wide receiver-like 26-yard touchdown catch two plays apart in the third quarter accounted for a substantial chunk of Hall's production. Backup running back Braelon Allen scored two touchdowns on nine touches, but Hall's still the clear top dog in New York's backfield. Hall has racked up 21 touches in each of the Jets' first two games, and his ability to contribute as both a rusher and a pass catcher should help keep him heavily involved on a weekly basis regardless of game script. After splitting two games on the road, Hall and the Jets will play their first home game of the season Thursday against the Patriots.

Hall rushed 16 times for 54 yards and a touchdown while catching five of six targets for 39 yards and losing a fumble in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers. Hall atoned for a fumble on the Jets' second possession with a three-yard touchdown run on the next drive. He failed to get in on a two-point conversion attempt in the third quarter after the first of Allen Lazard's two touchdown catches cut the deficit to 26-13. The Jets' makeover on the offensive line and the return of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was supposed to help open up more running lanes for Hall, but the jury's still out in that regard, as his unimpressive 3.4 yards per carry Monday can be chalked up to facing an elite 49ers defensive front. Hall got the first 21 touches among Jets running backs before rookie Braelon Allen got a pair on the team's final drive, so Hall should continue to be a three-down workhorse against the Titans in Week 2.

Hall described himself as "better than ever" heading into his third NFL season, the Jets' official site reports. Hall has been simulating star 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey in practice to help the Jets defense prepare for Monday's season opener in San Francisco. He's one of the few running backs with comparable versatility and explosiveness to McCaffrey, as Hall's 1,585 scrimmage yards in the 2023 season were second among NFL running backs behind McCaffrey's 2,023. Hall's impressive production came despite his workload being managed to begin the season as he worked his way back from a torn ACL suffered in October 2022, but he has no such physical limitations heading into the 2024 campaign.

Hall and other starters aren't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. The Jets have held most of their starters out for the entire preseason, hoping to stay as healthy as possible for a Week 1 game at San Francisco on Monday Night Football. It's a tough matchup to start the season, but Hall's combination of talent and expected workload is hard to match, making him a first-round pick and every-week starter in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.

Hall isn't slated to play in Saturday's preseason game at Carolina, Randy Lange of the Jets' official site reports. Hall is the only Jets running back not suiting up for the team's second exhibition, leaving Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, Israel Abanikanda, Deon Jackson and Xazavian Valladay to handle the backfield Saturday. With one preseason contest to go for New York, it remains to be seen if Hall will get any reps prior to Week 1, but if he doesn't, he'll be looking to one-up the 1,585 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns that he compiled in 17 regular-season games in 2023.
