LaPorta had another down game in Week 9 at Green Bay with two catches for 28 yards on three targets. Jameson Williams is now back from his two-game suspension, and LaPorta only had one game this year with double digits in PPR points with Williams on the field. The matchup at Houston is also tough since the Texans are No. 1 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Three tight ends have scored touchdowns against Houston, but no tight end has more than 41 receiving yards. And Cole Kmet's four catches against the Texans in Week 2 is the season high. I would only start LaPorta in deeper leagues in Week 10.

LaPorta recorded two receptions on three targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-14 win over the Packers. LaPorta finished tied for second on the team with three targets, but the Lions played from ahead and leaned on their run game with rain consistently falling. He managed a 19-yard reception on Detroit's first offensive possession, though he made very little impact thereafter. LaPorta now has two or fewer receptions in five of his eight games while being held under 30 yards on three occasions.

LaPorta had his best performance of the season in Week 8 against Tennessee with 16.8 PPR points behind six catches for 48 yards and a touchdown on six targets, and that was the first game without Jameson Williams of his two-game suspension. Let's hope LaPorta gets hot, and he has a favorable matchup in Week 8 at Green Bay. The Packers are No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and four guys in the past four games have scored at least 10.9 PPR points. LaPorta also averaged 13.7 PPR points against the Packers in two games last year.

LaPorta recorded six receptions on six targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 52-14 win over the Titans. LaPorta recorded a total of two receptions on three targets combined across his last two games, so any increase in involvement would have been positive. Sunday's performance was even better than it first appears, however, because Jared Goff attempted only 15 total passes due to game script. LaPorta also managed his second touchdown in his last three contests on a pass delivered by running back David Montgomery from three yards away on a trick play. LaPorta could be in for another solid performance in Week 9 against Green Bay due to Jameson Williams (suspension) being sidelined once again.

While I am very nervous about LaPorta's target volume and wouldn't consider him in cash games, the Vikings have seen the second-most targets to tight ends and this game could absolutely turn into a shootout. There's no reason to believe LaPorta has lost anything from last year and there's every reason to believe that there could be a big LaPorta week coming any week now.
