Washington (concussion) is out for Sunday's outing against the Giants, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Washington will log his third straight inactive game as the Falcons take on the Giants at home. The rookie wide receiver's next chance to see the field will be in Week 17 against the Commanders, though he'll likely be a special teams contributor if he sees the field then.

Washington (concussion) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Chargers. Washington was able to end the week with consecutive full practices, and his lack of an injury designation indicates he has cleared the league's five-step concussion protocols. The rookie sixth-round pick has mostly played on special teams this season, and in his limited playing time on offense he's logged one catch (on two targets) for 14 yards.

Washington (concussion) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's injury report, Daniel Flick of SI.com reports. Washington was limited in Wednesday's practice, so it appears he is progressing through the league's five-step concussion protocols. However, in order to play against the Chargers on Sunday, Washington will need to be cleared by an independent neurologist. That could happen as soon as Friday's practice when the Falcons will assign injury designations to players on the injury report.

Washington caught his only target for 14 yards during Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Seahawks. Washington appeared in Weeks 3 and 5 but operated exclusively on special teams. He saw his first career offensive snaps during garbage time of Sunday's blowout loss and secured his lone target from fellow rookie Michael Penix. Washington remains behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge on Atlanta's wideout depth chart.

Washington (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. Washington's NFL regular-season debut will be put on hold after he was a healthy scratch for Week 1. The Falcons elevated Chris Blair from their practice squad Saturday. Blair will join Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge as depth wideouts behind Drake London and Darnell Mooney versus Pittsburgh.
