  • The Cardinals signed McMorris (calf) to the practice squad Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. McMorris logged one solo tackle across eight regular-season games for the Dolphins in 2024. He mostly played on special teams and would serve in that role if the Cardinals elevate him to the active roster.

  • The Dolphins placed McMorris (foot) on the reserve/injured list Thursday. The Dolphins' rookie sixth-round pick sustained a foot injury at the tail end of training camp, which caused him to miss the preseason finale against the Buccaneers on Friday. McMorris will be forced to sit out for the first four regular-season games, and he is eligible to return in Week 5 against the Patriots on Oct. 6.

  • Miami head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that McMorris (foot) is week-to-week, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. McMorris sat out Friday's exhibition finale against the Buccaneers and was wearing a walking boot on his right foot prior to the contest. He made a push for a spot on the 53-man roster during the team's first two preseason contests and in practice, but that opportunity could be blunted by the foot injury. Fellow safeties Jordan Poyer (thumb) and Jevon Holland (undisclosed) are also dealing with injuries, but those issues are expected to be shorter term, and both players are likely to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
