  Corley caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans. For a second consecutive week, Corley was on the field for only one snap, but he was targeted on that play this time, resulting in his first NFL catch. The rookie third-round draft pick isn't seeing the field enough to be an impact player at this stage of his career, and Corley's unlikely to see a significant increase in usage Thursday against the Patriots.

  Corley recorded one catch on three targets for five yards in Saturday's 10-6 preseason win over the Giants. Corley played for the entire first half and appeared regularly in 11 personnel. His play remained inconsistent, as he was called for a holding penalty on the team's first drive and also had a reception reversed for failing to complete the process of the catch. Given his status as a third-round pick, Corley's roster spot should be safe. However, his ability to contribute immediately offensively is far less clear.

  Corley recorded two receptions (on two targets) for 10 yards in Saturday's 15-12 preseason win over the Panthers. The Jets sat all of their projected starters, leaving Corley to catch the team's first pass of the game from Andrew Peasley. Corley has had a solid exhibition season, tallying six catches for 37 yards while also working as one of the team's kick returners. Special teams could be the primary path for him to find the field at the start of the regular season, though Corley could challenge Xavier Gipson for snaps in the slot as the campaign progresses.

  Corley caught four of five targets for 27 yards in Saturday's 20-17 preseason win over the Commanders. He also had a 33-yard kickoff return and one punt return for no gain. Corley caught the only completion quarterback Tyrod Taylor had in his two drives to start the game, and the 2024 third-round pick stayed in for the remainder of the first half after Andrew Peasley checked in under center. The rookie wide receiver's route running needs refinement, but Corley's a handful to bring down with the ball in his hands, so the Jets tried to give him opportunities in space Saturday on both offense and special teams. Corley may not get a chance to work with starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a game situation during the preseason, as Taylor will most likely start again in next Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers.

• Jets' Malachi Corley: Signs rookie contract

  The Jets signed Corley to a four-year, $6.073 million rookie contract Friday that includes a $1.237 million signing bonus, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. New York selected Corley in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he'll have a chance to compete for a key role among the team's receiver corps during his rookie campaign. Corley exited a practice during OTAs in late May due to a lower-body injury but should be a full-go for training camp.
