Richardson (orbital) will not be activated from injured reserve this week, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports. The Colts find themselves in need of options at the quarterback spot with Daniel Jones (Achilles) out for the season and Riley Leonard (knee) also banged up, but Richardson will not be one of them immediately, as his recovery continues from the orbital fracture he sustained in mid-October. Brett Rypien -- who is on the practice squad -- is the only Colts quarterback without an injury concern heading into Week 15.

Richardson (eye) is expected to mis multiple weeks after sustaining an orbital fracture ahead of Sunday's win over the Cardinals, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports. Richardson was hospitalized after being hit in the eye by a piece of workout equipment in pregame warmups Sunday. He's dealing with significant swelling around the eye, impairing his vision, though there isn't believed to be any damage to his actual eye. With Richardson out for the immediate future, the Colts could look outside the organization for a veteran backup behind Daniel Jones. Sixth-round rookie Riley Leonard is another option for QB2 duties.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that Richardson suffered an orbital eye fracture while warming up prior to Sunday's 31-27 win over the Cardinals, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports. Richardson sustained the injury while working out with elastic bands prior to the contest and was made inactive for the Week 6 game, and he could be at risk of missing additional time, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com. Rookie Riley Leonard backed up starter Daniel Jones in Sunday's win and could be headed for a multi-game run as the Colts' No. 2 quarterback.

Richardson is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site reports. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Richardson sustained an unspecified injury during warmups, so the quarterback isn't a healthy inactive for the contest. Riley Leonard is thus slated to serve as Daniel Jones' top backup Sunday.

I know, I should give it up. I can't yet. Richardson is the top Qb I want to roster that isn't starting this week. I know what Shane Steichen said about Daniel Jones, but I also know the history of Daniel Jones. If something goes terribly wrong early in the season Richardson will be the starter and there will be a rush to the waiver wire to add him. He should already be rostered in any league where you can start two QBs, and Dynasty league, and any league with deep benches where all the starting QBs are already rostered. If he gets a chance to start for the Colts, there is a good chance we will rank him as a starter for Fantasy purposes.
