  • Riley Patterson: Finds new opportunity

Patterson signed with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Patterson has been on the free agent market since getting waived by the Commanders in August. The 25-year-old kicked for the Lions last season, appearing in 13 games and making 88 percent of his FGAs. He'll spend Wednesday competing with fellow practice squad signing Spencer Shrader to see who will kick for the Jets on Thursday against the Texans, as Greg Zuerlein (knee) is not expected to play.

  • Jets' Greg Zuerlein: Dealing with left knee injury

Zuerlein was listed as a limited practice participant on Tuesday's estimated injury report with a left knee injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Zuerlein wasn't listed on Monday's injury report, but the embattled kicker appears to be dealing with a left knee injury that could affect his availability for Thursday's game against the Texans. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that the Jets hosted six kickers for a workout Tuesday, and if the team elects to sign someone, it would be an indication that Zuerlein is unlikely to play Thursday. Zuerlein has converted on just nine of his 15 field-goal attempts and has gone 13-for-14 on extra-point tries through the first eight games of the season.

  • Greg Joseph K | NYG

Giants' Greg Joseph: Makes all four FG attempts Week 8

Joseph went 4-for-4 on field-goal tries and didn't attempt an extra point Monday in a loss to the Steelers.

Joseph provided all of the first-half scoring for the Giants, making field goals from 29, 39 and 44 yards out. He added to his ledger with a 48-yarder with just over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to bring New York to within eight points. The veteran kicker had gone 1-for-3 on field-goal attempts over the previous two weeks, highlighting how unpredictable his opportunities can be as part of a Giants offense that is averaging the second-fewest points per game in the league. Joseph's hold on New York's placekicker role is also unsteady, as Graham Gano -- who is on IR due to a hamstring injury -- is eligible to return and will likely do so as soon as he is back to health.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: Busy in victory

Boswell converted all four of his field-goal attempts while making both of his extra-point tries during Monday's 26-18 win over the Giants.

Boswell didn't have any particularly long attempts during Monday's primetime matchup, as his longest field-goal attempt came from 31 yards. However, he remained perfect once again and has converted all 11 of his field-goal attempts while making all eight of his extra-point tries over the three games heading into Pittsburgh's Week 9 bye. The 33-year-old is tied with Austin Seibert for the most made field goals to begin the season, and Boswell's 95.8 percent field-goal conversion rate leads the league among kickers with at least 15 attempts.

  • Ravens' Justin Tucker: Misses 50-yarder in Week 8 loss

Tucker converted one of two field-goal tries and all three of his extra-point attempts during Sunday's 29-24 loss to the Browns.

Tucker missed his fourth field-goal attempt of the year in Week 8's divisional loss, though he also converted a 49-yarder early in the contest. All four of Tucker's missed kicks this season have come from 40-plus yards out, with three having been attempts of at least 50 yards. The Ravens will remain at home in Baltimore for the next two upcoming contests, matchups against the Broncos and Bengals.

  • Raiders' Daniel Carlson: Boots 54-yard FG in loss

Carlson converted both of his field-goal attempts and tacked on a pair of extra points in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chiefs.

Carlson booted a 54-yard field goal to give the Raiders a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter, and he added a 32-yard make in the second half. He's accrued 23 total points over Las Vegas' last two games, but Carlson will be kicking without a roof for the first time since Week 5 when the Raiders head outdoors to Cincinnati in Week 9.

  • Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Another 50+ yard make Sunday

McLaughlin drilled his only field-goal attempt from 52 yards and made all three extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.

McLaughlin was his usual reliable self, maximizing each opportunity he was given in the high-scoring divisional clash. The Buccaneers managed to remain reasonably efficient on offense despite the absences of their top two receivers, so McLaughlin arguably saw less field-goal opportunity than he might have been projected for going in. The veteran kicker is now 6-for-7 from 50+ yards following his long-distance make Sunday, and he could see his team's offense stall more often in scoring position versus a tough Chiefs defense on the road next Monday night.

  • Jason Myers K | SEA

Seahawks' Jason Myers: Hits two kicks in loss

Myers connected on a 38-yard field goal and his lone extra-point try in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Bills.

Myers remains perfect this season on kicks from within 40 yards, hitting all six of his field-goal tries and all 20 extra-point attempts. He has a decent opportunity ahead with a Week 9 matchup versus the Rams, who have given up 24.8 points per game, 11th most in the league.

  • 49ers' Anders Carlson: Reverts to practice squad

Carlson reverted to the 49ers' practice squad Monday.

Carlson went 3-for-3 on both field-goal attempts and extra-point tries during Sunday's win over the Cowboys, as he once again served as the team's kicker since Jake Moody (ankle) remains sidelined. Carlson should continue to serve as the 49ers' placekicker in a Week 10 matchup versus Tampa Bay following the Week 9 bye if Moody is unable to return.

  • Jake Elliott K | PHI

Eagles' Jake Elliott: Three field goals in big win

Elliott made all three of his field-goal tries and all four of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 37-17 win over the Bengals.

Elliott was good from 39 yards in the second quarter and from both 49 and 47 yards in the fourth. This was the busiest he's been all season. The most field goals he's made in a game this year prior to Week 8 was two, while the last time he'd attempted more than five total kicks in a game was back in Week 1.
