McPherson connected on field goals of 29, 58 and 34 yards and also drilled all three extra-point attempts in the Bengals' 30-13 preseason win over the Eagles on Friday.
McPherson put the Bengals' first nine points of the night on the board with his trio of field goals, which included his third of 50-plus this preseason. The unblemished night capped off a perfect three-game exhibition slate for McPherson, who tuned up for what should be a busy regular season by going 8-for-8 on field-goal attempts and 7-for-7 on PATs.

Bengals' Evan McPherson: Phenomenal in preseason win
McPherson connected on field-goal attempts of 25 and 58 yards while also knocking home all three PATs in the Bengals' 27-9 preseason win over the Bears on Saturday.
McPherson put the Bengals on the board with 4:40 remaining in the opening period via his 25-yarder before pushing through his long-distance boot with 14:11 remaining in the contest to close out the scoring for either squad. McPherson, who's now 5-for-5 on field goals and 4-for-4 on PATs through two preseason games, is set to serve as Cincinnati's placekicker for the sixth straight season. The 2021 fifth-round pick is coming off a 2025 campaign where he posted a career-best 89.3 percent success rate on field goals and also went 41-for-44 on extra-point tries across 17 regular-season games.

Bengals' Evan McPherson: Looking to build upon strong 2025
McPherson will again work as Cincinnati's primary kicker during the upcoming season following a bounce-back performance last year, John Sheeran of A to Z Sports reports.
McPherson struggled mightily in 2024, making just 16 of 22 FG attempts over 12 regular-season contests. However, he was much better last season, converting a career-high 89 percent of his field-goal tries (25-for-28), though he did miss three PATs. McPherson went 5-for-8 from 50-plus yards and 10-for-10 from 40 to 49 yards last year, giving the Bengals a reliable leg when they opted to kick from distance. Cincinnati has much higher aspirations after winning just six games last year, and McPherson figures to play a key role if the team is to rebound from a rough campaign.

Bengals' Evan McPherson: More trustworthy in 2025
McPherson made 25 of his 28 field-goal tries and converted 41 of his 44 extra-point attempts in 17 games with Cincinnati in 2025.
After converting on a career-low 72.7 percent of his field-goal attempts in 2024, McPherson recorded a career high 89.3 percent in that category in 2025. He also showed improvement from distance compared to last season, making 15 of his 18 tries from 40-plus yards out compared to six of 12 in 2024. He still probably hasn't justified the three-year, $14 million contract the Bengals gave him in August of 2024, but he would project as an above-average fantasy option at kicker in 2026 if starting quarterback Joe Burrow can stay healthy and lead a more potent offense than the one Cincinnati had for much of this year.

McPherson made his lone field-goal attempt and four of five extra-point tries in Sunday's 37-14 win over the Cardinals.
McPherson's field goal was boomed from 57 yards, but his failed PAT in the second quarter was McPherson's first missed extra point of the season. Through 16 games, McPherson is 25-for-28 on field goals and 41-for-42 on PATs. McPherson will wrap up the 2025 season in Week 18 against Cleveland.

McPherson made his lone field-goal attempt and all six extra-point tries in Sunday's 45-21 win over the Dolphins.
McPherson's field goal came from 45 yards away, and he sandwiched it with six PATs on a day the Bengals hung 35 straight points on the Dolphins after falling behind 14-10 in the second quarter. On the season, McPherson has converted 24 of 27 field-goal tries and all 37 extra-point attempts across 15 contests. He'll be a premier fantasy kicker at home next Sunday against Arizona.

McPherson made all four of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 39-34 loss to the Bills.
The kicker did not attempt a field goal in the loss. McPherson has connected on a combined six field goals and six extra points in the two weeks since Joe Burrow returned to the Bengals' lineup as the team's starting quarterback, and he should continue to get opportunities as long as Burrow is leading the offense.

McPherson accounted for Cincinnati's first 12 points, making kicks from 31, 42, 24 and 33 yards out to give the Bengals a 12-7 lead at halftime. He then kicked a pair of PATs before making kicks from 52 and 41 yards in the fourth quarter. Through 12 games this season, McPherson is 23-for-26 on field goals a perfect 27-of-27 on extra points.

McPherson made both of his field-goal attempts and each of his two extra-point tries during the Bengals' 26-20 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
McPherson opened Sunday's scoring with a 54-yard field goal in the first quarter, and he closed out the first half with a 63-yarder as time expired. That 63-yard field goal was the longest of his career, and he is now 3-for-7 on field goals from 50-plus yards this season. After making just one field goal in each of the first six games of the regular season, McPherson has made two or more in four of his last five games. McPherson helped the Bengals keep pace in the first half with field goals from 41 and 33 yards, but his 54-yard attempt late in the fourth quarter came up short. It was his third missed field goal of the season, with the other misses coming from 50-plus yards. McPherson has scored at least 10 points in two of his last three games, and his scoring floor should be steady if Joe Flacco can continue to move the Bengals' offense down the field in the absence of Joe Burrow (toe). McPherson is 13-for-16 on field-goal attempts and 23-for-23 on extra-point tries through nine regular-season games.
