  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

    Matt Bryant: Cut by Falcons

Bryant was released by the Falcons on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Bryant's performance has been lacking since his return to Atlanta before Week 2, as he connected on nine of 14 field-goal attempts and 14 of 15 point-after tries. Four of those five misses were from 50-plus, which was a strength of his between 2012 and 2018 (78 percent, or 32 of 41). The team signed Younghoe Koo as a corresponding move, per Schefter.

  • Chargers' Chase McLaughlin: Long-distance woes continue

McLaughlin made one of two field-goal tries and both extra points in Sunday's 17-16 victory against the Bears.

With Michael Badgley (groin) still nursing an injury, McLaughlin earned another start this past Sunday. While the undrafted rookie was able to connect on a 20-yard field goal, he failed to do so on a 42-yard attempt in the fourth quarter. Badgley was spotted warming up prior to Sunday's contest, but he'll need to get cleared to perform kickoffs in order to take the field, so it's possible McLaughlin could start once again.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: First missed kick this season

Boswell made two of three field-goals (41, 42) and all three PATs in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.

In fairness, Boswell's missed field goal attempt was from 54 yards out, which would have been the longest of his career. He is still having a solid season, and the return of Mason Rudolph to lead the offense should give Boswell plenty of scoring opportunities. Week 9 will see him face a Colts defense against which opposing kickers are averaging seven fantasy points per game this season.

  • Dolphins' Jason Sanders: Limited to PATs in loss

Sanders converted both extra-point attempts during Monday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers.

Sanders has now gone two straight games without a single field-goal try, and he has only eight attempts across seven contests. Until the Dolphins' offense begins providing Sanders with more consistent opportunities, he'll remain off the fantasy radar.

  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Misfires on deep kick

Butker connected on one of his two field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point attempts Sunday against the Packers.

Butker has missed just one field goal and one extra point on kicks that come inside of 50 yards this season, but he has missed on both of his attempts from 50 and beyond. Kickers aren't generally expected to be perfect from deep, but Butker had nailed six of his nine kicks from at least 50 yards out coming into the season, so he has proven he can make them at a reasonable clip.

  • Jake Elliott K | PHI

Eagles' Jake Elliott: Makes lone attempt in win

Elliott made his only field-goal attempt and was 2-of-3 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-13 win over the Bills.

Elliott got the Eagles on the board with a 37-yarder in the first quarter. The 24-year-old subsequently missed his first kick of the season when his extra-point try following Miles Sanders' touchdown run early in the second half hit the left upright. The Memphis product has not attempted more than two field goals in a game yet this season but will get his next chance Week 9 against Chicago.

  • Broncos' Brandon McManus: Converts chip shots

McManus converted both of his field-goal attempts, from 29 and 21 yards, and a point-after attempt during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.

The Broncos probably wish they saw McManus on the field under different circumstances Sunday as both of his field goals came after promising drives died near the Colts' goal. The Broncos' offensive woes have helped McManus -- the offense's inability to get into the end zone has contributed to the Temple product ranking seventh in the league with 14 field goals on the season.

  • Matt Gay K | SF

Buccaneers' Matt Gay: Makes three field goals

Gay went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Titans.

Gay converted kicks from 22, 24 and 48 yards but lost out on a pair of extra points as the Buccaneers went for the two-point conversion on both touchdowns. It was the first time since Week 4 that the 25-year-old attempted multiple field goals in a game. Gay is 14-for-16 on field goals and 16-for-18 on PATs through the first seven games of the season.

  • Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Hits lone field-goal attempt in win

Zuerlein kicked a 23-yard field goal and connected on all three of his extra-point attempts during Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati.

The veteran continues to be one of the most reliable fantasy options, even with the odd down week, such as this mediocre showing against the Bengals. He's connected on 16 of 20 field-goal attempts and hit all 22 of his extra-point kicks this season and projects to continue posting solid numbers. The Rams are on bye in Week 9.

  • Matt Prater K | BUF

Lions' Matt Prater: Makes one of two from 50-plus

Prater converted one of two field-goal attempts and all four PATs during Sunday's 31-26 victory over the Giants.

Both of his field-goal attempts came from beyond 50 yards and Prater only managed to knock one of them through the uprights. Considering that was only his second miss of the season and he's been perfect from within 40 yards, Prater remains an appealing fantasy play in Week 9 against a Raiders defense that's giving up the fifth-most points per game (27.4) in 2019.
