Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Overcome by pressure
Burrow completed 22 of 33 passes for 263 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 23-20 Super Bowl LVI loss to the Rams.
Burrow's highlight reel play of the game came on the first snap of the second half, when he connected with Tee Higgins for a 75-yard touchdown. However, besides that connection, Burrow managed only 5.9 yards per attempt and was under consistent pressure in the final two quarters of the contest. Despite the disappointing end to the campaign, Burrow led Cincinnati to an impressive postseason run that included upset wins over the Titans and Chiefs -- two of the favorites in the AFC. He'll now turn his focus to the 2022 season, with each of Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Mixon all back as his primary offensive weapons.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Delivers in Super Bowl crunch time
Stafford completed 26 of 40 passes for 283 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions during the Rams' 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. He also rushed three times for six yards.
The veteran signal-caller culminated his first season outside of the football purgatory known as Detroit with a thrilling game-winning drive to secure a Super Bowl championship for the Rams on their home field. On his way there, Stafford had to navigate the absence of trusted tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) and the first-half exit of Odell Beckham, who suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury of his own. Stafford had opened the game clicking on all cylinders while connecting on nine of his first 10 pass attempts, including touchdown passes of 17 and 11 yards to Beckham and Cooper Kupp, respectively. However, the entire air attack mostly fell into a malaise following Beckham's exit, with Los Angeles only managing a 41-yard Matt Gay field goal until a game-winning 15-play, 79-yard march late in the fourth quarter. Stafford turned back to Kupp, who the Bengals had focused on heavily after Beckham's departure, to spearhead the drive and capped it off with a perfect back-shoulder throw to his star wideout for the game-winning touchdown. The memorable finish caps off a wildly successful first season in L.A. for Stafford, who finished the regular season with his highest passing yardage total (4,886) since the 2012 season and a career-high-tying 41 touchdown passes.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Relationship with team in good place
Rodgers' "relationship [with the Packers] is in as good a spot as it has been in quite a long time," creating optimism from both sides that he'll remain in Green Bay for the 2022 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
After Rodgers chose not to report to training camp on time last offseason due to his acrimonious relationship with the Green Bay front office, speculation abounded that the Packers would look to trade the longtime franchise quarterback. Though the Packers were able to temporarily cool tensions last July by reworking his contract and agreeing to revisit possible trade discussions during the upcoming offseason, Rodgers no longer seems adamant about moving on from the organization. While Green Bay's season ended with a disappointing loss to San Francisco in the divisional round, Rodgers guided the team to an NFL-best 13-4 record and took home his fourth MVP award. When he accepted the award Thursday, Rodgers notably thanked Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst and team president Mark Murphy, then told NFL Network after the ceremony that he's had "good conversations with Green Bay" about working out a new deal. As a result of having his deal restructured last summer, the 2022 portion of Rodgers' contract was voided. Green Bay will have the option of using its franchise tag on Rodgers for the upcoming season, but Rapoport relays that the Packers are looking to keep him in the fold on a two-year deal worth more than $45 million annually.

Jake Luton QB | LV
Jaguars' Jake Luton: Reunites with Jags
Jacksonville signed Luton to a reserve/future contract Friday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Luton, who joined the NFL as a 2020 sixth-round pick of the Jaguars, most recently spent time on Miami's practice squad. Now, the 25-year-old signal-caller can prepare to spend the offseason continuing his development in a familiar situation.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Earns another MVP award
Rodgers was named Most Valuable Player for the 2021 season Thursday.
Rodgers was named MVP for the second consecutive season and for the fourth time in his career. Though he was outperformed in metrics such as yards and touchdowns, Rodgers was rewarded for his accuracy and ability to protect the ball. He threw only four interceptions -- the lowest mark of any regular starter this season -- and also posted a stellar 68.9 completion percentage. Rodgers also led the Packers to a successful regular season, highlighted by a 13-4 record and the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Despite all of that success, it's not yet clear whether he will be under center in Green Bay to begin the 2022 campaign.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Set to have thumb checked out
Garoppolo is slated to see a specialist in the coming days in order to determine whether he will need surgery to address his right thumb injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Garoppolo played the 49ers' final five games (including the playoffs) with a torn thumb ligament he suffered Dec. 23. At this stage, Garoppolo is hoping to avoid a procedure, but if he requires surgery, his recovery will be something of interest to teams that might be interested in trading for the signal-caller, who is a candidate to be moved this offseason. For his part, Garoppolo seemed resigned to being dealt this offseason, noting Tuesday that he's "excited about the opportunities to come" elsewhere. If Garoppolo's premonition comes to pass, Trey Lance would be in line to take over as San Francisco's top signal-caller in 2022.

Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Undergoing ankle procedure
Hurts will undergo surgery on his left ankle Wednesday and is expected to fully recover in time for the start of OTAs, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Hurts played through the ankle injury down the stretch of the 2021 campaign, and he was spotted in a walking boot after the Eagles' wild-card round loss to the Buccaneers. Barring any setbacks in his recovery, Hurts' procedure doesn't look as though it'll have a notable affect on his preparation for the 2022 season during the spring and summer. General manager Howie Roseman previously said in mid-January that Hurts has performed well enough in his first full season as a starter to remain atop the depth chart entering 2022, which should give his managers in dynasty leagues some amount of confidence about his outlook.

Kyle Trask QB | TB
Buccaneers' Kyle Trask: Could get shot in 2022
Trask is an option to replace Tom Brady, who announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Despite being a relatively early draft pick last spring, 64th overall, Trask was a healthy scratch each week of his rookie season. Laine notes that the Bucs drafted Trask with the thought he'd replace Brady in 2023, not 2022, but the franchise is on a new timeline after the future Hall of Famer announced his retirement Tuesday. While the Bucs figure to look at the market for veteran signal-callers, Trask should at least have the inside track for the No. 2 role entering his second season, and if things break in his favor he could even get his shot to compete for the starting job. Brady's backup from this past season, 32-year-old Blaine Gabbert, is scheduled for unrestricted free agency in the offseason.

Nate Sudfeld QB | SF
Nate Sudfeld: Moves back to practice squad
Sudfeld reverted to the 49ers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Sudfeld has spent several games with the active roster this season, serving as the No. 2 or No. 3 quarterback on the positional depth chart. However, he never appeared in a game.
