  • Dolphins' Jacoby Brissett: Still sore Monday

Brissett (hamstring) is sore and receiving treatment Monday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Brissett sustained a hamstring strain in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers but was able to remain in the game. Even if the 28-year-old is cleared to suit up for Week 6, he isn't guaranteed a starting role because Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) could return to practice and do enough to clear himself ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Throws again Monday

Coach Brian Flores is hopeful that Tagovailoa (ribs) will return to practice this week after he threw again Monday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.

The Dolphins are hopeful that Tagovailoa will be back on the field as early as Week 6 against the Jaguars. The 2020 first-rounder resumed throwing early last week, and the team likely will have a better idea of his status based on his participation in practice ahead of Sunday's game in London.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Expected to play Sunday

Burrow (neck) is expected to play Sunday against the Lions, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.

Burrow was taken to the hospital following Sunday's loss to the Packers to be evaluated for a throat contusion, but he rejoined the team Monday. Coach Zac Taylor doesn't expect that the 24-year-old will have any limitations this week, so he should be in line to start Sunday's game against Detroit.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Released from hospital

Burrow (throat) was released from the hospital Sunday night, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Burrow was evaluated for a possible throat contusion following Sunday's loss to the Packers, but he checked out fine after being taken to the hospital. The 24-year-old completed 26 of 38 passes for 281 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's overtime loss and seems to have a good chance to play in the Week 6 matchup against Detroit on Sunday.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Could return Week 6

Tagovailoa (ribs) could be ready to retake the field as early as Week 6 against the Jaguars, Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post reports.

Tagovailoa is eligible to resume practicing this week in preparation for taking on Jacksonville, as long as the Dolphins believe he's progressed enough in his recovery from fractured ribs. As of yet, the second-year signal caller remains on IR. Miami has lost three straight games with Jacoby Brissett under center, so the team no doubt is eager to get Tagovailoa back in action and under evaluation. However, Tagovailoa could slot back in to a nebulous situation, as DeVante Parker (shoulder) missed Week 5, and Will Fuller (finger) will spend at least two more games on IR.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Texans' Tyrod Taylor: Not ready yet

Coach David Culley said Monday he doesn't expect Taylor (hamstring) to be activated from injured reserve Week 6, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Taylor was placed on IR back in Week 3, but it looks like the veteran signal-caller won't make it back onto the field in the minimum amount of time. Rookie third-round pick Davis Mills will continue to start while looking to build upon the three-touchdown, turnover-free performance he logged during Sunday's loss to the Patriots. Jeff Driskel has operated as Mills' backup, and it's still expected that Deshaun Watson will remain inactive the entire season.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Struggles in loss to Buffalo

Mahomes completed 33 of 54 pass attempts for 272 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing eight times for 61 yards and losing a fumble in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Bills.

Mahomes struggled mightily against the Bills' defensive front, constantly getting flushed out of the pocket and being forced to complete shorter passes. The decline in pocket protection has been noticeable this year, which could be one of the main reasons we are seeing more flaws in the star quarterback's play in 2021. Despite the slight decline, Mahomes is still posting numbers worthy of starting in any fantasy format, with 298.0 passing yards per game and a 16:6 TD:INT ratio through five contests. Mahomes may have to work his magic against a tough Washington defensive front next Sunday.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Wins battle of superstar QBs

Allen completed 15 of 26 pass attempts for 315 yards and three touchdowns, adding 59 rushing yards and another score on 11 carries in Sunday's 38-20 rout of the Chiefs.

Allen won the battle of young phenom quarterbacks over Patrick Mahomes, and a lightning storm delay at halftime couldn't derail his monster performance. The gunslinger's 12.1 yards-per-attempt set a new high for any quarterback this season. After a slow start to the season, Allen has begun to perform at an MVP level over the past few weeks. He will look to keep the momentum rolling in a road matchup against the Titans next Monday.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Comes up short in wild loss

Mayfield completed 23 of 32 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 47-42 loss to the Chargers. He added eight yards on two carries.

The fourth-year quarterback put together his most productive game of the year, tossing multiple TDs for the first time in five games while topping 300 yards for the second time, but Mayfield's numbers were still dwarfed by Justin Herbert's five-TD effort. Cleveland's run-heavy offense doesn't often give Mayfield a chance to rack up big totals, but he might get another one in Week 6 as the Browns try to keep pace with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Boosts fantasy production in win

Prescott completed 22 of 32 passes for 302 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in the Cowboys' 44-20 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also rushed twice for six yards and lost a fumble.

After three straight games with what would be considered pedestrian yardage totals by his standards, Prescott bounced back in that department with his second tally of over 300 yards on the season. He also extended his streak of multiple touchdown passes to three games by connecting with CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper and Ezekiel Elliott on scoring tosses of 49, 24 and four yards, respectively. Prescott's TD:INT now stands at an elite 13:3 heading into a Week 6 road showdown with the Patriots.
