Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Limited to begin week
Darnold (shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Darnold saw his first game action since Week 4 in last Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Bills, so the quarterback is presumably just getting some extra maintenance Wednesday for his throwing shoulder. Perhaps of more concern with regard to Darnold's fantasy prospects Week 8 against the Chiefs is that two of the Jets' starting wideouts -- Jamison Crowder (groin) and Breshad Perriman (concussion) -- were both unable to practice Wednesday.

Andy Dalton QB | PHI
Cowboys' Andy Dalton: Missing at practice
Dalton (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Dalton will need to fully clear the league's five-step concussion protocol before being eligible to return to the field. The veteran's absence from the first practice of the week isn't a promising early sign for his availability for Sunday's game against the Eagles. If Dalton can't go, rookie Ben DiNucci would likely be in line for his first NFL start.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Throws pair of touchdowns
Goff completed 23 of 33 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's 24-10 win over the Bears.
Goff bounced back from a rough Week 6 outing, throwing two touchdowns for the third straight game in the process. His first came off a cleverly schemed play to Josh Reynolds for four yards in the first quarter, then Goff connected with tight end Gerald Everett from 12 yards to take a commanding lead in the third. With his team back in the win column and his season total up to 12 touchdown passes versus just four interceptions, Goff will now look forward to Sunday's game in Miami.

Andy Dalton QB | PHI
Cowboys' Andy Dalton: Status for Sunday night in question
Dalton is in the concussion protocol Monday and could be in danger of missing Week 8, Adam Schefter of ESPN report.
Dalton suffered the first concussion of his NFL career due to a brutal hit from Washington linebacker Jon Bostic in the third quarter Sunday. Ben DiNucci struggled to move the offense in place of Dalton, ultimately completing two of three pass attempts for 39 yards while taking three sacks. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Cowboys aren't expected to sign another quarterback to the roster, so if Dalton is unable to fully clear the concussion protocol in time, it could come down to DiNucci or Garrett Gilbert to start Sunday against Philadelphia's stout defensive front.

Jarrett Stidham QB | DEN
Patriots' Jarrett Stidham: Gets into game in fourth quarter
After replacing Cam Newton early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 33-6 loss to the 49ers, Stidham completed six of 10 pass attempts for 64 yards and a pick.
Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, coach Bill Belichick noted that he took Newton out of Sunday's game (with the Patriots trailing by 27 points) in order to give Stidham more experience, adding that he's "absolutely" staying with Newton as the team's starting QB heading into Week 8.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Browns' Baker Mayfield: Loses top WR
Mayfield will be forced to proceed without Odell Beckham (knee) for the rest of the 2020 season, as the 27-year-old wideout has been confirmed to have suffered a season-ending ACL tear, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
Mayfield rallied to lead the Browns to a 37-34 win over the Bengals on Sunday, in which he threw five touchdowns, but his first pass of the game -- an interception caught by Darius Phillips -- looms over the victory. Beckham suffered his season-ending knee injury while attempting to make a tackle on the play, and Mayfield will now have to proceed without the star wideout for the remainder of 2020. On the plus side, Mayfield appears to have established solid connection with Rashard Higgins, who had a team-high 110 receiving yards on six catches Sunday, and Donovan Peoples-Jones, who hauled in the game-winning touchdown versus Cincinnati. Higgins and Peoples-Jones both stand to join Jarvis Landry in three-receiver sets the rest of the way.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Accounts for four TDs in OT win
Murray completed 34 of 48 pass attempts for 360 yards, three touchdowns and an interception while adding 14 carries for 67 yards and another touchdown in Sunday's 37-34 overtime win over Seattle.
Murray put the team on his back in a crucial NFC West showdown and outdueled early MVP candidate Russell Wilson on a national stage. The 2019 first overall pick continues to make strides as a passer following a promising rookie campaign, posting a 66.9 completion percentage, 2,207 passing yards and a 13:7 TD:INT ratio. But what really sets Murray apart as a fantasy signal-caller has been his prowess with his legs. The 23-year-old has taken over the title as the league's top rushing quarterback from 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson, leading all quarterbacks with 71 rush attempts, 437 yards and seven rushing touchdowns through seven games. Fantasy owners will have to find a one-game replacement for Murray as the Cardinals are on a bye, but the dual-threat quarterback will be back in action against the Dolphins in Week 9.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Roller coaster effort in OT loss
Wilson completed 33 of 50 passes for 388 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 37-34 overtime loss to the Cardinals. He also rushed six times for 84 yards.
Coming off a bye week, Wilson revved up the Seahawks' offense quickly, completing his first five passes of the night for 65 yards and a touchdown to Tyler Lockett. He led two more drives that ended in field goals before marching into the red zone again only to toss an interception at the goal line to Budda Baker, who would have returned the pick for a score if not for a remarkable run-down effort by DK Metcalf. The rest of Wilson's night was up and down. The veteran signal-caller tossed two more scores to Lockett, who finished with 15 receptions and 200 yards, and the quarterback set a new career high for rushing yards in a game. However, he was suffocated by the Cardinals' pass rush all night and threw two more untimely interceptions, including one to rookie Isaiah Simmons with 1:04 left in overtime to set up the eventual game-winning kick. The highs outweigh the lows for fantasy purposes, as Wilson posted a sixth straight multi-touchdown effort while reaching a season high in passing yards, but he'll look to eliminate the errors next week when the 49ers come to town.

Drew Lock QB | SEA
Broncos' Drew Lock: Two more picks, this time in loss
Lock went 24-for-40 passing with 254 yards and two interceptions during Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Chiefs. He also registered eight yards on three carries with a rushing score.
The second-year signal-caller has struggled in his return from an early-season shoulder injury, throwing to a 53.1 percent completion rate with no passing TDs and four INTs over the past two weeks. Denver's defense did enough last week to cover up the sophomore's errors, forcing three turnovers and allowing just 12 points to New England. Against the defending champions on Sunday, however, the Broncos could not withstand another sloppy effort from the offense. Including Week 1, Lock has one total TD pass in the three games he has been able to complete, and the offense is averaging only 16 points per game in those contests.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Commits two turnovers vs. Patriots
Garoppolo completed 20 of 25 pass attempts for 277 yards and two interceptions while gaining four yards on his lone carry during Sunday's 33-6 win over the Patriots.
Garoppolo averaged a healthy 11.1 yards per attempt while completing an impressive 80 percent of his passes. He committed two turnovers in the first half, including one on a heave to the end zone just before halftime, though his team took a 20-point lead into the break thanks to a dominant performance by the ground attack. It wasn't quite the return to Foxboro that Garoppolo imagined from a personal perspective, but he came away with another win nonetheless. He was coming off a stellar three-touchdown performance in his previous game and will look to get back on track next Sunday against the Seahawks.
