Mahomes (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings after practicing in a limited fashion all week.

At this stage, there hasn't been much of an indication from coach Andy Reid whether Mahomes is truly questionable or closer to doubtful, but the reigning MVP evidently has a shot to defy the odds and suit up this weekend. Look for plenty of coverage pertaining to his status leading up to game time, which fortunately arrives at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. In the event Mahomes is sidelined for a second straight contest, Matt Moore would garner another start.

Rypien was promoted to the Broncos' 53-man roster from the practice squad Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Rypien failed to make Denver's season-opening roster but quickly signed with the practice squad after being waived, and he'll now have the chance to serve as the No. 2 quarterback with Joe Flacco (neck) heading to injured reserve. Brandon Allen will step in as the starter, though Drew Lock (thumb) is expected to return from IR in Week 11 and could receive a starting look at some point.

McCoy will serve as Washington's backup quarterback Sunday at Buffalo, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Dwayne Haskins is set to make the first start of his career with Case Keenum (concussion) sidelined, thrusting McCoy into the No. 2 role. McCoy has been a healthy scratch since starting Week 5, when he completed 18 of 27 passes for 122 yards and one interception.

Keenum (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Buffalo, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Keenum practiced on a limited basis throughout the week, but Dwayne Haskins got most of the reps with the first-team offense. With Keenum not being able to clear the concussion protocol, Haskins will step in for his first NFL start, with Colt McCoy serving as the backup. It isn't clear if Keenum will return to the starting job once he's cleared of the concussion.

Murray completed 17 of 24 passes for 241 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Cardinals' 28-25 loss to the 49ers on Thursday. He also rushed five times for 34 yards and threw a two-point conversion pass.

Murray unsurprisingly struggled against the suffocating 49ers defense for the majority of the contest, but one fourth-quarter play turned both the dynamic of the game and his individual stat line around. Murray hit fellow rookie Andy Isabella for an 88-yard touchdown with 4:53 remaining and also connected with Kenyan Drake on the ensuing two-point conversion attempt, bringing the Cardinals to within three points. Although Murray never got another shot with the ball, fantasy managers had to be glad to see him bounce back from a five-game stretch during which he failed to throw a touchdown pass in four contests. Murray will look to build on Thursday's effort versus the Buccaneers in a Week 10 matchup.

Garoppolo completed 28 of 37 passes for 317 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in the 49ers' 28-25 win over the Cardinals on Thursday. He also rushed three times for two yards.

Garoppolo was masterful through the first three quarters in particular, setting a career high in touchdown throws by hitting four different pass catchers for scores. He started with a 30-yard touchdown pass to George Kittle in the closing seconds of the first quarter and followed up with scoring tosses of seven, one and 21 yards to Kendrick Bourne, Emmanuel Sanders and Dante Pettis, respectively. Although he had a relatively quiet fourth quarter in comparison, Garoppolo was able to lead a key 11-play drive to kill the remaining 4:35 of clock after the Cardinals had closed to 28-25, firing an 11-yard pass to Ross Dwelley at the two-minute warning on 3rd-and-9 to seal the victory. The performance was Garoppolo's first completely turnover-free effort of the season, and he'll look to follow it up in another NFC West showdown against the Seahawks in Week 10.

Rodgers (knee) was a full practice participant Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Kicking off Week 9 prep with some limitations at Wednesday's walkthrough, Rodgers took on every rep Thursday in what was considered a true practice. He'll now turn his entire attention to Sunday's matchup against a Chargers defense that has given up 8.4 yards per attempt and 12 touchdowns versus seven interceptions to quarterbacks in eight games this season.

Mahomes (knee) remained limited at Thursday's practice.

Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, Mahomes "again was second in the QB line behind Matt Moore" on Thursday. That he's out there at all is very encouraging, but we'd still be surprised if Mahomes is cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Vikings. Friday's injury report should provide clarity on that front.

Keenum (concussion) was limited at practice Thursday.

The Redskins were in pads Thursday, but Keenum was third in the QB pecking order behind rookie Dwayne Haskins and Colt McCoy, according to Craig Hoffman of 106.7 The Fan Washington. Keenum is beholden to an independent neurologist to receive clearance to play Sunday at Buffalo, but he'd improve his odds to do so by practicing in full Friday.

Allen, who was named the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Browns, could be in store for an extended run atop the depth chart with Joe Flacco expected to miss six weeks due to a bulging disc in his neck, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

While the two medical opinions Flacco has received leave him optimistic that he'll avoid surgery, the Broncos are likely leaning toward placing him on season-ending injured reserve, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Flacco's absence presents Allen, a 2016 sixth-round pick, to see his first NFL action, though the 27-year-old won't necessarily be guaranteed any starts beyond this weekend. Drew Lock (thumb) is targeting a return from IR following the Broncos' bye in Week 10, and Denver is presumably incentivized to give the rookie second-round pick a look under center at some point.
