  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Bengals' Andy Dalton: Tosses two picks in loss

Dalton completed 12 of 20 passes for 153 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Saints. He added an eight-yard run during the contest.

With A.J. Green (foot) out of the lineup, Cincinnati turned to the likes of 2017 first-round pick John Ross. Things went smoothly early on, as he and Dalton connecting for two-yard score in the closing moments of the first quarter to tie up the game. It was downhill from there, as sans his longtime favorite targets like Green and Tyler Eifert (ankle), Dalton and the Bengals' offense stalled. Don't read too much into the interceptions, as one was tipped at the line and the other was a toss to the end zone in the final moments before halftime. Still, if Green is held out into December like reports suggest, Dalton doesn't seem to have the weapons needed to keep the Bengals going, particularly next Sunday against a Ravens defense ranked in the top five in the league in opposing quarterback rating allowed (83.9).

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Guts out tough win

Mahomes completed 21 of 28 passes for 249 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Chiefs' 26-14 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 21 yards.

Mahomes got knocked around a bit more than usual, taking five sacks and seven official hits overall. He was also playing without the benefit of his No. 2 receiver in Sammy Watkins (foot), but Mahomes still found a way to play a mistake-free game despite the adversity, snapping an unsightly five-game interception streak in the process. Mahomes connected with Tyreek Hill for both of his touchdown passes, finding the speedster for a 37-yard scoring connection in the first quarter before capping off a nine-play, 73-yard march in the second quarter with a 14-yard touchdown throw to him over the middle. The second-year signal-caller still averaged an impressive 8.9 yards per attempt working with a short-handed receiving corps and has now thrown multiple touchdowns in five straight games. He'll look to continue his stellar breakout campaign in a highly-anticipated Week 11 Monday night showdown against the Rams in Mexico City.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Inactive in Week 10

Darnold (foot) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills.

With Darnold out, Davis Webb will serve as Josh McCown's backup Sunday. Meanwhile, ESPN's Adam Schefter relays that Darnold has a sprained arch in his foot. With the Jets on bye in Week 11, it's possible that Darnold could return as soon as the team's Nov. 25 game against the Patriots, though it's also plausible that he could be held out until Week 13, with the big picture in mind.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Expected to return Week 12

Allen (elbow) is expected to return following the Bills' Week 11 bye, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Allen maintained a limited listing on Bills injury reports all week, earning a "questionable" tag Friday. Just one day later, though, the Bills ruled out the rookie signal-caller due to his sprained right elbow. Allen will join Derek Anderson (concussion) on the inactive list Sunday against the Jets, giving Matt Barkley a chance to start for the first time since 2016, with Nathan Peterman acting as the backup. Allen will use the upcoming bye to get even healthier in order to make an appearance Nov. 25 versus the Jaguars.

  • Bills' Nathan Peterman: Benched in favor of Matt Barkley

Peterman is set to dress as the backup quarterback Sunday against the Jets will the Bills naming Matt Barkley their Week 10 starter.

It marks the third time Peterman has been benched this season and the second time he's been passed over by a quarterback the Bills signed off the street, with Derek Anderson (concussion) and Barkley earning starting nods after dismal games from the turnover-prone 24-year-old. Josh Allen (elbow) is expected to be back following the team's Week 11 bye, meaning Peterman could very well be the fourth option on the depth chart by the end of the month, if he's even with the team at that point.

  • Matt Barkley QB | JAC

Bills' Matt Barkley: Gets Week 10 starting nod

Barkley will start Sunday's game against the Jets.

With both Josh Allen (elbow) and Derek Anderson (concussion) already ruled out, Barkley will leap Nathan Peterman on the depth chart after the latter's career-long struggles continued in the 41-9 loss to the Bears in Week 9. Barkley, who will make his first NFL start since 2016, posted an unsightly 8:14 TD:INT while completing under 60 percent of his passes in seven games for the Bears that season. Even in the deepest of leagues, Barkley is makes for a difficult fantasy play given his lack of prior NFL success and dearth of weapons.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Ruled out for Sunday

Allen (elbow) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Allen managed to practice in a limited capacity all week and was initially listed as questionable following Friday's practice, but the rookie signal-caller evidently isn't healthy enough to start Sunday's game, or at least the Bills don't want to put their franchise quarterback at risk with a bye coming up. This opens the door for the recently-signed Matt Barkley to make his first NFL start since 2016. Nathan Peterman is expected to act as Barkley's backup while Allen will aim to return to action Week 12 against Jacksonville.

  • Matt Barkley QB | JAC

Bills' Matt Barkley: Possible Week 10 starter

Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News states there's a decent chance Barkley will receive the start against the Jets after working with the starting unit at times during Friday's practice, coupled with the fact that Josh Allen (elbow) is listed as questionable.

Allen is clearly the team's best option, but he's questionable and the Bills have a bye in Week 11, so they might just take the conservative route with their franchise player. The team seems to have moved away from turnover-happy Nathan Peterman, so with Derek Anderson (concussion) already ruled out for the game, Barkley could be the only option left. Running back LeSean McCoy made some comments to the media Friday that may have tipped off the fact Barkley could be starting. All that said, the Bills would love it if Allen was 100 percent healthy, so with all the clues presented we'll place the odds of Sunday's start being 45 percent Allen, 45 percent Barkley and 10 percent Peterman.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: May take starting job

Jackson may take over the starting job for Week 11 against Cincinnati while fellow quarterback Joe Flacco recovers from a hip injury, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.

Flacco is still in the process of seeking medical opinions, but his injury reportedly is serious enough to warrant some discussion of surgery or prolonged rest. The Ravens may want to use it as a convenient excuse for a quarterback change even if Flacco isn't in too much pain, as the team heads into a Week 10 bye at 4-5 after three consecutive losses. Selected at No. 32 overall in this year's draft, Jackson offers enough upside as a rushing threat to warrant ownership in all two-QB fantasy leagues and also some single-QB formats. It's anyone's guess what he'll offer as a passer, but there's no questioning his rare combination of size, speed and running instincts. A switch from Flacco to Jackson would probably be good news for Alex Collins and bad news for all the Baltimore pass catchers, with the team likely shifting its focus more toward the running game. Jackson's presence in the backfield might help open up lanes for Collins, whereas the current Baltimore offense has featured 42.1 pass attempts per game from Flacco while producing just 3.6 yards per carry.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Questionable for Sunday

Allen (elbow) is listed as questionable for Sunday's road game against the Jets.

Allen was a limited practice participant all week, marking his first activity since spraining his right throwing elbow Week 6. With a "questionable" tag for the Bills' upcoming visit to New York, he has a chance to return, though coach Sean McDermott told Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com that the rookie's health is paramount, suggesting his status will come down to a game-time decision. The Bills have ruled out Derek Anderson (concussion), so the remaining quarterback options for this contest -- if Allen sits out one more game -- are the uninspiring Nathan Peterman and Matt Barkley.
