Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Vikings' Trevor Siemian: Struggles in third preseason game
Siemian was just 4-of-8 for three yards passing in Friday's preseason win over Seattle.
Siemian has had an up-and-down preseason, but he's locked in as Kirk Cousins' backup.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Another step forward in loss
Darnold completed eight of 16 passes for 86 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Jets' 22-16 preseason loss to the Giants on Friday. He also rushed twice for 13 yards.
The rookie played the entire first half, leading the offense to touchdowns on a pair of drives. Darnold capped off a five-play, 47-yard march in the second quarter with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Terrelle Pryor, which served as the highlight of his night. Although the offense finished the first half on an extremely sluggish note (seven plays, minus-two yards and a fumble over last four possessions), Darnold still likely made enough of an impression with his work earlier in the contest to stay firmly under consideration for the Week 1 starting gig. Teddy Bridgewater turned in a solid second half in his own right, so the battle between the two quarterbacks will apparently come down to next Thursday's preseason finale against the Eagles. Meanwhile, veteran Josh McCown, who hasn't seen action since the preseason opener, could also still factor into the equation.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Jets' Teddy Bridgewater: Sharp again in loss
Bridgewater completed 11 of 15 passes for 104 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Jets' 22-16 preseason loss to the Giants on Friday.
Josh McCown took a seat Friday for the second straight preseason game, as coach Todd Bowles allowed Bridgewater and rookie first-round pick Sam Darnold a half each to make their case for a potential starting job to open the season. For the second straight week, the battle was more or less a draw, although unlike Darnold, Bridgewater was unable to get the offense into the end zone. He did lead an impressive 13-play, 78-yard march over a 6:24 stretch of the fourth quarter, moving the ball all the way down to the Giants two-yard line before throwing incomplete to Thomas Rawls on third down. Heading into next Thursday's preseason finale against the Eagles, the Jets' starting quarterback job appears to still be firmly up for grabs, making it likely both Bridgewater and Darnold see plenty of snaps in that contest.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Throws for 118 yards against Vikings
Wilson completed 11 of 21 passes for 118 yards during Friday's preseason game against the Vikings. He also rushed once for five yards.
On a night without receivers Doug Baldwin or Tyler Lockett, Wilson was lacking reliable weapons downfield, and it showed in his final stat line. However, this isn't what should be expected in the regular season when both of his top targets are expected to be available. In fact, Wilson is being widely discussed as one of the favorites to win the MVP award this season coming off a 2017 campaign in which he led the league with 34 passing touchdowns.
-
Derek Carr QB | NO
Raiders' Derek Carr: Leads FG drive
Carr completed two of three passes for 68 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Packers.
Carr hooked up with Amari Cooper for a 49-yard gain on the first snap of the game, setting up a field goal on the only drive for the first-team offense. Assuming he's held out of the preseason finale next week, Carr will finish the preseason with just seven pass attempts. Coach Jay Gruden believes practice reps will be sufficient to prepare the 27-year-old quarterback for Week 1 against the Rams.
-
Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Sharp again
Winston (suspension) completed six of 10 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game against the Lions.
Ryan Fitzpatrick got the start and played two drives before handing things over to Winston for the rest of the first half. The 24-year-old quarterback has been exceptional this preseason, completing 30 of 41 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns without any turnovers. Of course, he's taken a lot of his snaps against backup defenders as a result of the Bucs preparing Fitzpatrick to start the first three weeks of the season. If Winston doesn't play in the preseason finale, his next in-game appearance will occur Week 4 in Chicago.
-
Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Looks mediocre again
Stafford completed nine of 18 passes for 113 yards in Friday's preseason game at Tampa Bay.
Stafford played into the third quarter and set up three field-goal attempts on five drives. He also took three sacks along the way, after taking two in a brief appearance last week. Stafford presumably will be held out of the Lions' preseason finale, thus finishing the exhibition slate having completed 11 of 23 passes for 164 yards without any touchdowns or interceptions. He'll open the regular season with a favorable home matchup against the Jets on Monday Night Football (Sept. 10).
-
Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Completes 17 passes Friday
Cousins completed 17 of 28 passes for 182 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions during Friday's preseason game against the Seahawks. He also rushed once for two yards.
Unlikely to play in next week's exhibition finale alongside the rest of the team's starters, Cousins will finish the preseason having completed 24 of 40 passes for 236 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. While a 60.0 percent completion rate and 5.9 yards-per-attempt mark likely aren't what the Vikings had in mind when they signed the quarterback to a record-breaking contract this offseason, those figures are also well below Cousins' career averages of 65.5 percent passing and 7.7 YPA. Therefore, it's more than reasonable to expect him to improve as he gets further acclimated to his new situation.
-
Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Sidelined Friday
Rodgers won't play in Friday's preseason game at Oakland, Michael Cohen of The Athletic Wisconsin reports.
As expected, Rodgers won't suit up after logging a series in preseason Week 2 in which he found Jimmy Graham for an eight-yard touchdown. Expect the connection to rev up in advance of the Packers' regular-season opener Sunday, Sept. 9 against the Bears.
-
Case Keenum QB | CHI
Broncos' Case Keenum: Looks ready for Week 1
Keenum completed 12 of 18 passes for 148 yards in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
Keenum played the entire first half and led the Broncos to 17 points on five drives. He was accurate throwing to all areas of the field, including a 33-yard gain on a deep ball to Emmanuel Sanders and a 27-yard gain on a back-shoulder throw to Courtland Sutton. Assuming he's held out for the final week of the exhibition slate, Keenum will finish the preseason 21-of-35 passing (60 percent) for 231 yards without any touchdowns or turnovers. The 30-year-old quarterback will start the regular season with a Week 1 home game against the Seahawks.
