Case Keenum QB | CHI
Vikings' Case Keenum: Struggles to produce versus Steelers
Keenum completed 20 of 37 pass attempts for 167 yards during Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Steelers.
Pressed into action because of an injury to Sam Bradford (knee), Keenum struggled to make plays downfield and wound up averaging a measly 4.4 yards per attempt. The length of a potential absence for Bradford has been surrounded by murky details, but Keenum's performance Sunday indicates that he shouldn't be relied upon as a fantasy starter. If he remains the top option for Week 3, a home matchup against the Buccaneers is on tap.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Efficient in Week 2 win
Winston completed 18 of 30 passes for 204 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Bears. He also gained three yards on his sole rush.
With the Bucs defense generating hellish conditions for former teammate Mike Glennon and the Bears offense, Winston didn't have to do much to help facilitate a victory. The third-year signal caller acquainted himself with new weapon DeSean Jackson to the tune of three receptions for 39 yards, while also kick-starting top target Mike Evans' season by connecting with him on seven occasions for 93 yards and a score. The game script of Sunday's blowout win didn't call for Winston to have to utilize his plethora of weapons to a great extent, but there will undoubtedly be plenty of upcoming Sundays when he'll be asked to do much more. He'll look to build on his solid opening performance when the Bucs tangle with the tough Vikings defense on the road in Week 3.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Leads blowout win despite sluggish start
Mariota completed 15 of 27 passes for 215 yards with a touchdown and an interception while adding 24 rushing yards on six attempts in Sunday's 37-16 shellacking of the Jaguars.
Mariota still doesn't have a red-zone interception in his career, but he did get picked off from the Jacksonville 24-yard line as part of a slow-moving first half in which he threw for only 80 yards while failing to lead a touchdown drive. Tennessee's offense as a whole picked things up with 31 second-half points, though three of the team's four touchdowns came on the ground. Still, Mariota looks like he's starting to get in sync with his new receiving weapons and isn't afraid to make plays with his legs despite suffering a broken fibula late last season. Things should pick up for him as this campaign moves along.

Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Bills' Tyrod Taylor: Salvages Week 2 with 55 yards rushing
Taylor completed 17 of 25 passes for 125 yards and notched 55 additional yards on eight carries during Sunday's 9-3 defeat in Carolina.
Discounting a one-play possession as the clock wound down to halftime, the Bills put together nine drives, three of which were three and outs. Among the other six, Taylor and company had five drives with double-digit yards, and none greater than 42 yards, en route to 176 yards for the game. On a positive note, Taylor himself easily outgained the rest of his teammates on the ground (55 to 14) to salvage his afternoon somewhat. However, the exchange of Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods for Jordan Matthews and rookie Zay Jones hasn't exactly awakened the passing attack, or even the offense as a whole, leaving Taylor with fleeting value.

Jacoby Brissett QB | ARI
Colts' Jacoby Brissett: Fails to throw touchdown
Brissett completed 20 of 37 passes for 216 yards with an interception and added 22 rushing yards on six attempts in Sunday's 16-13 overtime loss to the Cardinals.
Brissett led the offense to a Frank Gore rushing touchdown on the opening drive, but generated just two field goals the rest of the way. He still looked much better than fellow Colts quarterback Scott Tolzien did last week and showed a nice rapport with tight end Jack Doyle (eight catches for 79 yards). Unfortunately for owners of Indianapolis' wide receivers, this offense is unlikely to generate many big plays until Andrew Luck (shoulder) returns. That probably won't happen next week considering how quickly Luck was ruled out for this one.

Sam Bradford QB | MIN
Vikings' Sam Bradford: Next appearance unclear
Bradford's (knee) next appearance for the Vikings is unknown. "Sam is fine," head coach Mike Zimmer said after Sunday's 26-9 loss at Pittsburgh. "He might play one game from now. He might play six weeks from now. Either way, he's fine."
Clearly, Bradford isn't fine if his range for a return spans from Week 3 to Week 8. The issue at hand is his left knee, which endured back-to-back surgeries to repair ACL tears in 2013 and 2014. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Bradford's MRI from Tuesday is "hard to read because he has so much scar tissue, but they [the Vikings] believe his ACL is still intact." Further evaluation is needed to determine the next course of action, but as long as Bradford is sidelined, Case Keenum will take over quarterback duties for the Vikings.

Bryce Petty QB | MIA
Jets' Bryce Petty: Handling backup role in Week 2
Petty is active for Sunday's game against the Raiders and will serve as the primary backup to starting quarterback Josh McCown, Andy Vasquez of The Record reports.
The Jets left Petty on the inactive list for the season-opening loss to the Bills, but it appears that at least for one week, he's surpassed Christian Hackenberg on the depth chart. Petty outperformed Hackenberg throughout the preseason, so it seems coach Todd Bowles' decision to make Petty inactive was for health-related reasons more than anything else. Prior to Week 1, Petty had been nursing a sprained MCL, which prevented him from suiting up for the preseason finale.
-
Christian Hackenberg QB | LV
Jets' Christian Hackenberg: Inactive for Week 2
Hackenberg (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday for the Jets' Week 2 game against the Raiders, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
Hackenberg served as the backup to starter Josh McCown in the season-opening loss to the Bills while Bryce Petty was getting over a strained knee, but now that Petty has had some time to heal up, Hackenberg looks like he'll be the Jets' No. 3 quarterback for the foreseeable future. That likely means that Hackenberg will be a fixture on the inactive list throughout the season, unless an injury affects the status of either McCown or Petty.

Jacoby Brissett QB | ARI
Colts' Jacoby Brissett: Will start at quarterback against Arizona
Brissett has been announced as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Mike Chappell of of CBS 4 News Indianapolis reports.
The switch to Brissett had been reported all week, but it was not confirmed by the Colts until Sunday's lineups were announced. Brissett gets the start over Scott Tolzien, who struggled in Week 1 while filling in for Andrew Luck (shoulder).

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Vikings' Case Keenum: Starting in Week 2
Keenum will start in place of Sam Bradford (knee) on Sunday at Pittsburgh, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The "will he or won't he play" has been answered for Bradford, who will yield the offense to the direction of Keenum. In five campaigns between the Texans and Rams, Keenum started 24 of his 26 appearances, averaging 216 yards per start and posting a 24:20 TD:INT ratio overall.
