Lynch sustained a shoulder sprain that will sideline him for a few weeks, but he will not require surgery, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Lynch's setback is expected to result in the Broncos adding another quarterback behind starter Trevor Siemian. After losing out to Siemian for the second straight year, Lynch's injury adds to a disappointing past week or so, but he'll at least be relieved by avoiding surgery.

Tannehill (knee) is recovering from surgery and is anticipated to return to the Dolphins' facility to rehab in the coming days, Chris Perkins of the Sun-Sentinel reports.

Tannehill is already going through the early stages of rehab, but he'll soon do it with the help of Miami's medical staff. The quarterback's knee injury is anticipated to sideline him for around eight to 12 months. With him out, Jay Cutler will start for the Dolphins this season.

Siemian completed 13 of 22 passes for 127 yards and a pick in Saturday's preseason win over Green Bay. He also rushed for 18 yards on two carries.

If quarterbacks are to be judged by how they respond to adversity, Siemian showed some maturity Saturday. After sailing a crossing route into the arms of a Packers defender, setting up a short touchdown drive for Green Bay, Siemian had Denver clicking. On the next drive, the third-year passer scrambled for a 16-yard gain and completed a 20-yard dart to Jordan Taylor on third and long to set up a C.J. Anderson touchdown run. Siemian seldom wows, and his short and intermediate accuracy need refinement, but his grasp of the offense is evident as he prepares to start Week 1 against the Chargers. With his preseason over, Siemian's final stat line features a completion percentage of a healthy 67.5, but a very mediocre yards-per-attempt average of 6.78.

Barkley completed both of his pass attempts for 19 yards in Sunday's preseason loss to the Vikings.

The 26-year-old played just six fourth-quarter minutes and has been used as the third QB in the 49ers' last two preseason contests. Barkley's lack of playing time and placement at the bottom of the depth chart doesn't bode well for his chances to win the primary backup job over C.J. Beathard, but he could still technically win the position battle if San Francisco elects to place its rookie signal caller on the practice squad to begin the year. Expect an official decision to be made after Thursday's preseason finale against the Chargers.

Heinicke was 8-of-12 for 73 yards passing and led the Vikings on a game-winning final drive at the end of the 4th quarter in Sunday's win over the 49ers.

Heinicke rushed for a two-point conversion by diving for the end zone cone to win the game. He had missed practice last week with an undisclosed injury but was able to play Sunday. It's not clear if the Vikings will keep a third quarterback on the roster. If so, Heinicke likely will win the spot despite Minnesota signing quarterback Mitch Leidner late in camp.

Keenum was 10 of 14 for 139 yards passing and two touchdowns in Sunday's preseason win over San Francisco.

Keenum looks to begin the season as Sam Bradford's backup. He was said to be in a close race with Taylor Heinicke for the backup quarterback role, but he has outplayed him in the preseason.

Hoyer completed 12 of 17 passes for 176 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 32-31 preseason loss to the Vikings.

Hoyer was locked in during what was very likely his last game action of the preseason, connecting with the emerging Marquise Goodwin on a 46-yard scoring strike on the Niners' opening possession before hitting Carlos Hyde for a 24-yard touchdown in the second period. The performance was certainly one that helped validate Hoyer's standing as the starting quarterback, considering he'd turned in a serviceable but modest performance in the first pair of exhibitions. Now with an excellent body of work under his belt, Hoyer is projected to sit out next Thursday's exhibition finale versus the Chargers in advance of the season opener against the Panthers.

Bradford completed 17 of 21 pass attempts for 134 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 32-31 preseason win over the 49ers. He also fumbled once but it was recovered.

Bradford's 81.0 percent completion percentage was certainly impressive, although he averaged a modest 6.4 yards per attempt. The veteran signal caller also took three sacks and lost the ball on the first one, but he certainly got some quality work in with the likes of Laquon Treadwell, Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs and Dalvin Cook, all who figure to play roles of varying degrees of importance in the coming campaign. Bradford is expected to sit out next Thursday's exhibition finale versus the Dolphins in order to gear up for a Week 1 showdown against the Saints.

McCoy completed eight of 11 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's preseason win over the Bengals.

McCoy had to wait until halfway through the third quarter to take the field Sunday but made good on his limited reps, leading a fourth-quarter comeback complete with two scoring drives -- including a nine-yard touchdown pass to tight end Derek Carrier. Firmly in control of the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, McCoy should be locked in for quite a bit of playing time in Thursday's preseason finale, as most of the starters are expected to rest.

Cousins completed 10 of 19 pass attempts for 109 yards and a pick-six interception in Sunday's preseason win over the Bengals.

The Redskins' first-team offense looked less than ideal in Sunday's "dress rehearsal" as the team failed to record a first-down in the first quarter, ending the first three drives with a total of minus-1 yards. After throwing a Vontaze Burfict pick-six to open up the second quarter, Cousins appeared to settle down a bit, leading the Redskins on a 75-yard scoring drive that was capped off by a Rob Kelley 1-yard touchdown run. However, Cousins never seemed to be on quite the same page as his wideouts, as his drives featured several short dump-off passes. His 47.9 passer rating Sunday doesn't exactly leave fantasy owners confident heading into Week 1, but there is still plenty of time to turn things around.
