Siemian will start Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, even though he's dealing with some lingering soreness in his throwing shoulder, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Siemian got a bit nicked up in Denver's second preseason game while trying to make a tackle after an interception. It won't prevent him from getting a second straight start, but head coach Gary Kubiak did make it clear that the quarterback battle is far from decided. Siemian, Mark Sanchez and Paxton Lynch will split playing time equally in Saturday's game, and Kubiak will then name a starter next week. Sanchez was widely viewed as the favorite before training camp, but it now appears the battle will go down to the wire, with Saturday's game perhaps serving as the determining factor.

Rodgers seems likely to play in Friday's preseason game against the 49ers, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.

Rodgers was seen in practice taking all the snaps with the Packers' starting offense, which is a change from working with the scout team, as he did prior to Green Bay's first two preseason games. Because Rodgers didn't play in either of those exhibitions and probably will watch the Packers' preseason finale from the sideline as well, this Friday's contest likely represents his lone opportunity to get some game action under his belt before the regular season, and his involvement with the starters to begin his week certainly seems to suggest he's preparing for just that.

Mariota stayed hot Saturday against the Panthers, completing 9-of-10 passes for 104 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also added 13 yards on two carries.

Mariota has been outstanding this preseason, with just a single incomplete pass through two games. He has been especially successful targeting rookie Tajae Sharpe, who already has eight catches for 103 yards. While the second-year quarterback's interception shows that he still has room for improvement, it's hard to complain much about his accurate start after an up-and-down rookie year.

Stafford completed 8-of-11 passes for 113 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Bengals.

With Eric Ebron (ankle) sidelined, seven of Stafford's eight completions went to either Marvin Jones or Golden Tate, with the remaining completion going to the newly-acquired Anquan Boldin. The only other player he targeted was RB Theo Riddick. Ultimately, it's hard to read too much into preseason action, but Stafford seems likely to rely on the short-to-mid passing game in 2016 with Jones serving as his primary deep threat.

Driskel completed 6-of-7 passes for 66 yards against the Broncos on Saturday. He added nine rushing yards on two carries.

Driskel had a mirror performance of his preseason debut last week, showing improved accuracy on his throws but failing to generate much on the ground. He is currently handing backup duties while Colin Kaepernick (shoulder) is out. Once Kaepernick returns, Driskel will compete for the 49ers' third-string duties with the newly-acquired Christian Ponder during the team's final two preseason games.

Winston completed only three of 10 passes for 28 yards with a touchdown and interception in Saturday's 27-21 preseason victory over the Jaguars. He also gained 15 yards on two rushes.

After a stellar camp and strong preseason opener, Winston encountered his first hiccup of 2016 against a tough Jags defense. Winston was picked off by Dwayne Gratz while trying to hit Cameron Brate over the deep middle on the Bucs' second possession, but bounced back to hit Mike Evans for a four-yard score on a nicely-thrown fade in the second quarter. The struggles Saturday are a reminder that while the coming season holds plenty of promise, last year's No. 1 overall pick still has plenty to refine heading into his sophomore campaign.

Lynch completed 15 of 26 passes for 113 yards, two touchdowns and a pick in Saturday's preseason loss to the 49ers. He added 13 yards rushing on three carries.

Lynch's pick came in the closing seconds of the game with Denver looking to come from behind and push the ball downfield. Otherwise, it was a fairly clean contest for the 2016 first-round pick, who showed the strength and speed to evade pressure, notched his first two career scores and had visibly more mustard on his passes than the team's co-starters. After Trevor Siemian and Mark Sanchez combined for three turnovers in a little over a half of play, head coach Gary Kubiak said that Lynch remains behind both in terms of the mental aspects of the game, but that he is in the competition for the starting job. Based on Saturday's game, it might not be Lynch's talents - but the flaws of Siemian and Sanchez - that get the rookie on the field sooner than later.

Savage entered Saturday's game against the Saints following starter Brock Osweiler and completed seven of 12 passes for 75 yards with two sacks in preseason Week 2.

Houston's newly minted No. 2 signal-caller had a more difficult time of it Saturday than he did in the opener last week, but Savage did nothing to lose his spot as Osweiler's primary backup. He has more time in the system than Brandon Weeden and, as such, is being groomed to pilot the Texans should anything untoward happen to Osweiler.

Siemian completed 10 of 14 passes for 75 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's preseason game against the 49ers.

Siemian came out strong on Denver's opening drive, completing five of six passes for 55 yards to set up a 19-yard touchdown run by C.J. Anderson. It was all downhill from that point forward, with a hideous pick-six serving as the final nail in the coffin. Siemian somehow didn't lose any ground, as Mark Sanchez lost a pair of fumbles and produced just three points on four drives. Head coach Gary Kubiak hasn't announced a starter for the all-important third preseason game.

Gabbert completed six of nine passes for 69 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.

With Colin Kaepernick (shoulder) still unavailable, Gabbert played the first three series of Saturday's game, producing seven points before handing the ball over to Jeff Driskel. While Kaepernick seems to be making progress and could be available for the final two preseason games, recent reports suggest the starting job is Gabbert's to lose.
