Quarterback Brian Hoyer has started every game for the Browns this season. He might be holding the clipboard when the team hosts Indianapolis next Sunday.

Hoyer collapsed after a strong start in which he completed 7 of 8 for 79 yards. He hit on 11 of 22 for 113 yards and two interceptions thereafter and was replaced by ballyhooed rookie Johnny Manziel in the fourth quarter.

The former was not solely to blame. Receiver Josh Gordon failed to complete a route that caused one interception. But a horrific pass early in the fourth quarter resulted in his fifth pick in the last two games, during which he threw for no touchdowns. The Browns managed just eight yards of total offense in the third quarter, greatle due to his inaccuracy.

It remains to be seen if Hoyer maintains his starting spot against the Colts.

Raiders rookie quarterback Derek Carr was lifted in the fourth quarter of Sunday's blowout in St. Louis and replaced by veteran Matt Schaub. Carr put together a miserable performance, completing 24 of 39 passes for 173 yards and no touchdowns with two interceptions.

Carr took three sacks and posted a 50.5 passer rating. He's accounted for one touchdown over his past three games.

The Raiders host the 49ers in Week 14.

Browns controversial rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel has replaced struggling starter Brian Hoyer in the fourth quarter of the Sunday game at Buffalo. Hoyer had thrown two interceptions, giving him five in the last two games to no touchdowns.

Manziel entered with his team down 20-3. His performance down the stretch could determine whether he remains the starter going forward. He led the team downfield for a touchdown in his first drive, scoring himself on a burst from 10 yards out.

The Titans declared the following players inactive for the game at Houston: offensive tackle Taylor Lewan (ankle), wideout Kris Durham, quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, defensive end Kamerion Wimbley (hamstring), defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, running back Antonio Andrews and safety Marqueston Huff (hamstring).

The Texans declared linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee), offensive tackle Jeff Adams, defensive back Josh Aubrey, linebacker Akeem Dent (neck), cornerback Kareem Jackson (knee), quarterback Thad Lewis and wideout DeVier Posey inactive for the game against the Titans.

The Raiders declared running back Latavius Murray (concussion), quarterback Matt McGloin, wideout Denarius Moore, cornerback Neiko Thorpe (hand), safety Jonathan Dowling (back), guard Tony Bergstrom and defensive tackle Stacy McGee inactive for the game at St. Louis.

The Redskins listed quarterback Kirk Cousins, wide receiver Aldrick Robinson, guard Spencer Long, defensive lineman Stephen Bowen, defensive back E.J. Biggers, tackle Tyler Polumbus and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson as inactive against the Colts Week 13.

Rex Ryan has confirmed what has been suspected - that Geno Smith will remain the starting quarterback for the Jets the rest of the season.

"I would anticipate that," Ryan told ESPN.

Smith is back on the job after Michael Vick took it over for a stint. The Jets are hoping the former can show an ability that would allow him to establish himself as the team's franchise quarterback.

Bill O'Brien is "leaning towards" choosing Texans rookie Tom Savage over newly acquired veteran Thad Lewis as the backup quarterback to Ryan Fitzpatrick for the Sunday game against Tennessee, the Houston Chronicle has reported.

"It's very difficult to ask Thaddeus to come in here and pick up on this offense in three days and be the No. 2 guy Sunday," O'Brien said. "Tom has improved a lot. I think this week has been his best week of throwing the ball. He definitely has a grasp of our offense."

The promotion has Savage smiling, but he's not getting complacent.

"Whether your're two or three, you're always preparing to be the guy at some point," he said. "Nothing really changes for me, just keep working and getting better."

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson completed 15 of his 22 pass attempts for 236 yards with one touchdowns and no interceptions Thursday, adding 35 rushing yards on seven carries in his team's 19-3 win over the 49ers in Week 13.

Wilson was able to hit running back Robert Turbin for a 13-yard touchdown late in the first quarter and spent much of the rest of the day serving as a caretaker for the offense with the running game working and the defense putting together a dominant performance. Even so, Wilson was able to put up his highest passing yardage in his last six games. The Seahawks have a trip to Philadelphia on tap in Week 14.
