  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Russell Wilson scores twice in Super Bowl rematch

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson found the end zone twice and did just enough to manage an overtime victory over the Broncos at home in Week 3.

Wilson fired a 39-yard touchdown pass to Ricardo Lockette and found Marshawn Lynch for a 5-yard strike -- all in the second quarter. He was picked off by Chris Harris in the fourth quarter for his only blemish of the afternoon. He bounced back and led his team to a 13-play, 80-yard drive which resulted in a game-winning touchdown run from Lynch in overtime.

Wilson completed 24 of 34 passes for 258 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked three times. He rushed for 40 yards on nine carries.

Seattle is on a bye before returning to action in Week 5 at Washington.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

    Late interception costs Derek Carr

The Raiders had a conservative game plan on the road against a Patriots defense that proved to be stout through the first two weeks, and rookie quarterback Derek Carr once again completed more than 60 percent (21 for 34) of his passes as a result. Of course, he also threw for just 174 yards and couldn't get the Raiders in the end zone in a 16-9 loss.

The closest he came was on the team's final drive of the game, when running back Darren McFadden had what looked like a game-tying 6-yard touchdown run with about a minute to go, but the play was reversed on a holding call. Carr threw an interception on the very next play.

After throwing two touchdown passes to no interceptions in his first game, he has thrown one touchdown pass to three interceptions in his last two. He'll look to reverse the trend Week 4 against the Dolphins.

  • Teddy Bridgewater not bad in debut

Entering the game early in the second quarter after starter Matt Cassel left with multiple broken bones in his foot, rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater looked plenty competent in his NFL debut Week 3 at New Orleans. He couldn't get the Vikings in the end zone, but he led them to two field goals in six series, including his first. Of the other four series, three ended in punts. The fourth marked the end of the first half.

Though Bridgewater wasn't bad throwing the ball, completing 12 of 20 passes for 150 yards, his mobility did the most to distinguish him from Cassel. He ran six times for 27 yards. Only one of those carries came in the second half, but again, the Vikings didn't possess the ball enough for him to have many more. His yards per carry would have been better if he didn't kneel the ball twice to end the first half.

"I thought he was very composed. I didn't see any panic," coach Mike Zimmer said of the rookie, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "I believe that he's going to be pretty good."

With Cassel sidelined for an extended period (and potentially the season), Bridgewater has a chance to make a name for himself over the next several weeks, beginning Week 4 against the Falcons.

  • Teddy Bridgewater worth picking up for Week 4 bye

The Vikings turned to Teddy Bridgewater in their Week 3 game after starter Matt Cassel hurt his foot, and he wasn't too bad. He completed 12 of 20 passes for 150 yards and ran for 27 yards and, most importantly, didn't turn the ball over.

A lot of good quarterbacks are on bye in Week 4 including Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson. If you find yourself caught off guard and in need of a passer, Bridgewater should fit the bill. He's got a positive matchup against the Falcons at home and will have to throw a bunch. In time I expect Bridgewater to be an effective passer with good players to throw to. Consider him among your waiver claims in the coming week.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Kirk Cousins tops 400 yards, three scores in loss

Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins put together a huge performance in his first start of the season in Week 3, but he just feel short in a 37-34 loss to the Eagles.

Cousins led the team on five scoring drives in the game, and put together one of the most productive single-game performances in team history. Cousins passed for 427 yards in the game, the fourth-highest total in Redskins history. He completed 30 of 48 passes and racked up three touchdowns, but also threw a costly interception mid-way through the fourth quarter, his first of the season.

Cousins has impressed through his first two games, after taking over in relief last week. He has passed for 677 yards while completing 52 of 81 passes, with five touchdowns and one turnover. He will look for more success in Week 4 against the Giants, set for Thursday.

  • Matthew Stafford held without a score Week 3

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was held without a score Week 3 against the Packers.

Stafford completed 22 of 34 passes for 246 yards. He was held without a touchdown, but threw two interceptions. Stafford also had six rushes for 8 yards during the contest. The Packers DST turned in a pretty solid game. While Calvin Johnson still had a fair amount of yardage, they were able to take away the big play. Stafford also lost a fumble during the game.

Stafford will look for more Week 4 against the Jets.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Andy Dalton catches touchdown in Week 3 win vs. Titans

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton went 15 for 23 for just 169 yards and an interception through the air Sunday but also caught an 18-yard touchdown pass in his team's 33-7 Week 3 win over the Titans.

Dalton's overall numbers were held in check with the Bengals opening up a big lead and shutting the Titans out until the fourth quarter. However, he made the play of the game in the first quarter, pitching the ball to Mohammed Sanu, who took a few steps to the right on an apparent sweep before lofting the ball to Dalton back across the field. Titans cornerback Blidi-Wreh Wilson had a play to make, either on the ball or on Dalton, but made neither, and Dalton motored toward the end zone and dove toward the pylon before the approaching defender could close.

Dalton also went 15 for 23 a week ago but managed to put together enough big plays to throw for 252 yards, averaging more than 10 yards per attempt. He'll get a week off with the team's upcoming bye before heading to New England in what should be a much tougher test in Week 5.

  • Brian Hoyer QB | LV

Brian Hoyer good, but not good enough in Week 3

Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer did everything right Sunday against Baltimore - until the game was on the line.

Hoyer missed on his last three attempts, including a short throw over the middle that would have allowed his team to run out the clock. But he still finished 19 of 25 for 290 yards and a 4-yard scoring strike to Miles Austin in the back of the end zone with 13 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

His performance began strong and got better. He completed 6 of 7 for 85 yards in the first quarter, including a 43-yarder to speedster Travis Benjamin, and was 17 of 19 for 214 yards by the end of the third. His 71-yard bomb to Taylor Gabriel with nine minutes remaining in the game could have put his team firmly in control, but poor execution and a missed field goal wrecked that opportunity.

Hoyer and the Browns will have plenty of time to regroup - they are now on their bye week.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Aaron Rodgers held in check Week 3

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was held in check Week 3 against the Lions.

Rodgers completed 16 of 27 passes for 162 yards and a score. Detroit did a great job limiting Rodgers' big play ability. He averaged just 6.0 yards per attempt during the contest. The Lions also kept Rodgers from making plays with his legs. He did not attempt a rush all game. Rodgers was also hurt a bit by drops, as the Packers couldn't seem to haul in a couple passes during the game.

Rodgers will be rebound Week 4 against the Bears.

  • Matt Cassel carted off with foot injury

Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel ran up the middle for 5 yards on third-and-10 early in the second quarter Week 3 at New Orleans, but even if he had picked up the first down, it wouldn't have been good news for the Vikings. His foot bent awkwardly as he was going down, and he limped off the field with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

The Vikings carted Cassel to the locker room for X-rays on what they called a toe injury. Rookie Teddy Bridgewater took his place under center.
