  • Jayden Daniels QB | WAS

Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Poor finish to great regular season

Daniels completed six of 12 passes for 38 yards and rushed four times for 27 yards before being lifted at halftime of Sunday's 23-19 win over the Cowboys.

Daniels struggled in the final appearance of an otherwise excellent regular season. Despite this weak final outing, Daniels is still the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year after throwing for 3,568 yards with a 25:9 TD:INT and tacking on a rookie quarterback record 891 rushing yards, as well as six rushing touchdowns. The Commanders trailed 9-3 when Mariota took over, but the veteran backup immediately led a touchdown drive and helped Washington come back to secure the No. 6 seed in the NFC. Daniels will look to bounce back in the wild-card round against either the Rams or Buccaneers.

  • Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Guts out playoff-clinching win

Mayfield completed 21 of 32 passes for 221 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and rushed nine times for 68 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-19 win over the Saints on Sunday.

Mayfield's solid but ordinary numbers tell the tale of a game during which he had to work for everything he achieved against a feisty Saints defense. The veteran signal-caller also had to frequently take matters in his own hands, leading to a season high in rushing yards. Mayfield extended his streak of games with multiple touchdowns to five by connecting with Payne Durham (six yards) and Jalen McMillan (32 yards) for second-half scoring tosses, and he was able to get Mike Evans the final five yards he needed to get to the 1,000-yard mark for the season on the last play of the contest. Having helped usher Tampa Bay to the NFC South crown, Mayfield will now turn his attention to a to-be-determined matchup on Super Wild Card Weekend.

  • Jordan Love QB | GB

Packers' Jordan Love: Lost feeling in hand Sunday

Love (elbow) said he lost feeling in his right throwing hand after falling on it early in the second quarter of Sunday's defeat to the Bears, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Love's comments come mere minutes after coach Matt LaFleur told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com that the quarterback was held out as a precaution after getting injured. Love also relayed that he isn't 100 percent postgame, but he feels confident about his odds to be available in the wild-card round at Philadelphia next weekend. Malik Willis stepped in for Love in Week 18, completing 10 of 13 passes for 136 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions, notching a three-yard carry and losing his only fumble.

  • C.J. Stroud QB | HOU

Texans' C.J. Stroud: Leads one effective drive

Stroud completed all six of his pass attempts for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Titans.

The Texans entered Week 18 locked into the fourth seed in the AFC, so Stroud played for only one drive. He ended a disappointing season in strong fashion, completing four of his passes to Nico Collins -- including a two-yard touchdown. Stroud and the Texans will now await a home matchup against either the Steelers or Chargers in the first round of the playoffs.

  • Jordan Love QB | GB

Packers' Jordan Love: Held out Sunday as precaution

Coach Matt LaFleur said after Sunday's loss to the Bears that Love (elbow) could have returned but was held out as a precaution, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Love didn't see a snap after banging his right elbow early in the second quarter while completing a short pass to RB Josh Jacobs that wqas negated by penalty. At various points during the contest, though, Love was seen throwing passes on the sideline, only to remain there while Malik Willis led the offense. Love's status now will bear monitoring as the Packers gear up for a wild-card game at Philadelphia next weekend.

  • Caleb Williams QB | CHI

Bears' Caleb Williams: Helps snap losing streak in finale

Williams completed 21 of 29 passes for 148 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and rushed three times for 10 yards in the Bears' 24-22 win over the Packers on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.

Williams' numbers were underwhelming in a vacuum, but the embattled No. 1 overall pick was still able to do just enough to put the Bears in position for a game-winning field goal by Cairo Santos. The rookie signal-caller had a narrow target pool that consisted of just five players, and he hit DJ Moore for a 32-yard touchdown reception on which the veteran wideout did the majority of the work with yards after the catch. Williams finished his first season by throwing for under 200 yards in four of his last five games, but he also tossed just one interception over the last 11 contests of the campaign.

  • Easton Stick QB | ATL

Chargers' Easton Stick: Playing emergency role Sunday

Stick (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

The quarterback will resume his familiar role behind starter Justin Herbert and backup Taylor Heinicke as the Chargers push for the No. 5 seed in the AFC, and he would need them both to get hurt, sick or ejected to enter the contest. Stick has yet to enter a game this season.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Set to start Sunday

With Tua Tagovailoa (hip) inactive, Huntley is slated to start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets.

While filling in for Tagovailoa in Miami's 20-3 win over the Browns in Week 17, Huntley completed 22 of his 26 pass attempts for 225 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing seven times for 52 yards and another score. With Tagovailoa sidelined once again, Huntley will continue to helm the offense of the 8-8 Dolphins, who need a win (combined with a Denver loss) in order to qualify for a playoff spot. With that in mind, Huntley offers a lineup option for fantasy managers dealing with QB injuries or signal-callers resting in Week 18.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Inactive for Week 18

Mahomes (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Mahomes had been listed as doubtful heading into the weekend due to the mild right high-ankle sprain he sustained in a Dec. 15 win over the Browns, but he played through the injury at a high level in the Chiefs' last two contests, completing 57 of 79 pass attempts for 580 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions while adding 45 yards and another score on the ground between wins over the Texans and Steelers. With the Chiefs entering Week 18 having secured the AFC's No. 1 seed, Mahomes will get some rest in the regular-season finale along with several other key veterans. Carson Wentz will direct the offense in Denver, but there's no doubt that Mahomes will be back in the lineup when Kansas City kicks off its postseason in the divisional round.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | MIA

    Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Inactive Sunday

Tagovailoa (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.

After being deemed limited at practice this past week, Tagovailoa was listed as doubtful for the contest, a designation that aligned with head coach Mike McDaniel having noted Friday that it was "unlikely" the QB would see any action Sunday. With Tagovailoa officially inactive for the second straight week, Tyler Huntley will draw another start for the Dolphins, who need a win (coupled with a Denver loss in Week 18) to qualify for the postseason. For his part, Tagovailoa has expressed confidence that he'll be available next week should the team make the playoffs, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, indicating "if the cards play out the way they should and the way we know and think they can, I'm going to be available next week...no, ifs, ands or buts." That said, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggests that it's not a given Tagovailoa would be cleared by next weekend in such a scenario, considering the nature of the hip injury the signal-caller is contending with.
