  • Raiders' Desmond Ridder: Throws TD in mop-up duty

Ridder took over for an ineffective Gardner Minshew with 5:02 remaining in the third quarter of Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Bengals and completed 11 of 16 passes for 74 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while rushing once for two yards and losing a fumble.

A rusty Ridder, who'd last put up a regular-season attempt in Week 18 of the 2023 campaign with the Falcons, mostly stuck to short passes and took four sacks overall. However, Ridder also managed to lead a six-play, 70-yard touchdown march late in the fourth quarter that he capped with a 22-yard touchdown strike to Brock Bowers. Considering the Raiders are now 2-7 and have a Week 10 bye on tap, head coach Antonio Pierce may opt to give Ridder a chance to take over the starting job during a Week 11 road trip to Miami.

  • Raiders' Gardner Minshew: Benched for ineffectiveness

Minshew completed 10 of 17 passes for 124 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed once for no gain before being replaced by Desmond Ridder with 5:02 remaining in the third quarter of Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Bengals.

Minshew's numbers underscore why he ultimately was replaced by Ridder, as the veteran signal-caller made little impact throughout his time in the game. Minshew failed to throw a touchdown for the third time overall this season, and he finished with under 200 yards for the fourth time as well. Ridder was able to lead one touchdown drive late, so it remains to be seen if a quarterback switch is in the offing during the Week 10 bye ahead of a Week 11 road matchup against the Dolphins.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | ATL

Falcons' Kirk Cousins: Fires three TDs in win

Cousins completed 19 of 24 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 27-21 win over the Cowboys.

The veteran QB found Drake London (hip), Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud for scores in one of his most efficient performances of the season. Cousins has tossed 13 TDs over the last five games against only three INTs, and even if London's hip issue keeps him sidelined in Week 10, the signal-caller should have more than enough talent around him to take care of a reeling Saints squad.

  • Drake Maye QB | NE

Patriots' Drake Maye: Solid numbers despite miscues

Maye completed 29 of 41 passes for 206 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Titans. He added eight rushes for 95 yards and lost a fumble.

Maye played his part in a sloppy game, losing a fumble that gave the Titans a short field to record the go-ahead touchdown and also throwing the game-clinching pick. On the other hand, he also continued to flash moments of brilliance, highlighted by a five-yard touchdown pass to tie the game as time expired, during which he evaded pressure for several seconds and made the throw as he was being taken to the ground. The majority of his other playmaking came with his legs by tallying long scrambles of 26 and 22 yards. Maye's performance remains inconsistent, but he has shown the ability to lead New England's offense effectively and has been a strong fantasy contributor in the first three starts of his career.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Browns' Jameis Winston: Struggles in ugly loss

Winston completed 26 of 46 passes for 235 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions and rushed five times for 27 yards in the Browns' 27-10 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.

Winston padded his stats some late and threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Cedric Tillman after the game was out of reach, but the overarching theme to his afternoon was constant struggles to find open targets. The Chargers defense was relentless throughout the day, sacking Winston six times and picking him off on three occasions in their own territory, including twice in the red zone. Despite the ragged performance against a talented unit, Winston shouldn't be in any danger of losing his grip on the starting job heading into a Week 11 road matchup against the Saints following a Week 10 bye.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Helps lead rare victory

Young completed 16 of 26 passes for 171 yards with a touchdown and an interception and rushed four times for nine yards in the Panthers' 23-22 win over the Saints on Sunday.

Young logged a second consecutive start and helped lead the Panthers to only their second win of the season, putting together a serviceable performance that included a three-yard touchdown pass to Xavier Legette in the second quarter. Young also had a critical 26-yard completion to Legette on Carolina's game-winning drive, and given his second straight encouraging performance, he'll presumably hold on to the top job for a Week 10 matchup against the Giants in Germany.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Ends MetLife Stadium TD drought

Jones completed 20 of 26 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns while rushing seven times for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Commanders. He also lost a fumble.

Jones produced his first MetLife Stadium touchdown in 672 days with a two-yard touchdown pass to Chris Manhertz in the second quarter, but the much-maligned quarterback finished the first half with zero passing yards. He thought he had a three-yard touchdown pass to Wan'Dale Robinson in the third quarter, but it was called back due to a questionable offensive pass interference penalty. There was no doubt about Jones' two-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, which was his first rushing score of the season and part of his second-highest rushing yardage total of the season, two shy of Jones' 56 rushing yards against the Bengals in Week 6. Jones tacked on a 35-yard touchdown pass to Theo Johnson later in the fourth, but the Giants' comeback attempt came up short, dropping New York to 2-7 heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Panthers in Munich, Germany.

  • Cooper Rush QB | BAL

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Tosses TD in relief Sunday

Rush completed 13 of 25 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown after replacing Dak Prescott (hamstring) in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Falcons. He also threw a two-point conversion and gained four yards on his only carry.

Prescott left at the end of the third quarter, leaving Rush to try and mount a comeback from a 27-13 deficit. The Cowboys' No. 2 QB managed to produce points inside the final two minutes of the fourth quarter on his third and final drive, hitting Jalen Tolbert for a four-yard TD and then CeeDee Lamb for a two-point conversion, but Dallas couldn't recover the subsequent onside kick. Prescott is headed for an MRI on Monday, per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, and if he's ruled out for a Week 10 tilt against the Eagles, Rush would likely get the start, with Trey Lance backing him up.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Saints' Derek Carr: Solid numbers in return

Carr completed 18 of 31 passes for 236 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Saints' 23-22 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.

Carr was making his return from a three-game absence due to an oblique injury and put together a reasonably efficient performance despite losing Chris Olave to a concussion in the first quarter. The veteran signal-caller adjusted well and leaned heavily on Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill, who accounted for one-third of Carr's completions and 101 of his passing yards. However, Carr's one touchdown pass went to Foster Moreau, who made an acrobatic 17-yard catch in the back of the end zone early in the fourth quarter. Carr threw two incomplete passes and took a sack on the Saints' final drive, but despite the disappointing conclusion Sunday, he'll head into a Week 10 home matchup against the Falcons with some momentum stemming from a solid return to action.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | MIA

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Just three incompletions in loss

Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills. He added two rushing attempts for three yards.

Tagovailoa rarely pushed the ball downfield, instead keeping the offense on schedule by accurately dinking and dunking. He threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to De'Von Achane in the second quarter and a game-tying seven-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle with 1:38 left in the fourth, but Buffalo answered with a game-winning field goal in the final seconds. Tua's return from concussion protocol hasn't helped Miami get back in the win column, as the Dolphins are 2-7 overall and 1-3 in games started by Tagovailoa heading into a Week 10 MNF road game against the Rams.
