  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Back at practice

Jackson (back/knee) returned to practice Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Following back-to-back DNPs, Jackson's return to the field for Friday's session is a good sign regarding the star QB's availability for Sunday's game against the Broncos. The Ravens' upcoming injury report will clarify Jackson's official participation level, as well as his Week 9 game status.

  • Drake Maye QB | NE

Patriots' Drake Maye: Limited again, may still play Sunday

Head coach Jerod Mayo said that Maye (concussion) will be a limited participant in Friday's practice, but the Patriots haven't yet ruled the quarterback out from playing in Sunday's game against the Titans, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.

Mayo added that Maye remains in the concussion protocol, after the rookie quarterback suffered the head injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit during this past Sunday's win over the Jets. Though Maye was cleared to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, he has yet to increase his activity in the two days that have followed. The Patriots are likely to list Maye as questionable or doubtful for the Week 9 contest when they release their final injury report later Friday, and though Mayo is leaving the door open for the 22-year-old to play Sunday, Jacoby Brissett is probably trending toward starting against the Titans at this point in the week.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Leads much-needed comeback win

Rodgers completed 22 of 32 passes for 211 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed once for minus-1 yard in the Jets' 21-13 win over the Texans on Thursday night.

The first half was once again a source of major concern for Rodgers and the Jets' offense, as they were shut out altogether. However, the future Hall of Famer came alive in the second half despite losing Davante Adams for a time due to a concussion check, connecting with Garrett Wilson (21, 26 yards) and Adams (37 yards) for his trio of scoring tosses. The touchdown tally was a season high for Rodgers, who also avoided interceptions for the second straight game and recorded completions to seven different targets overall. With New York's losing streak now snapped, Rodgers will look to string together consecutive wins for the second time as a member of the Jets at the expense of the Cardinals in a Week 10 road matchup on Sunday, Nov. 10.

  • C.J. Stroud QB | HOU

Texans' C.J. Stroud: Miserable night in loss

Stroud completed 11 of 30 passes for 191 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed eight times for 59 yards in the Texans' 21-13 loss to the Jets on Thursday night. He also lost a fumble and failed to bring in his only target.

For the second time in three games, Stroud was under 200 passing yards and a 50.0 percent completion rate. In Thursday's instance, he also was constantly pressured to the tune of eight sacks, including one that resulted in a fumble deep in Jets territory, and 11 hits overall. The second-year signal-caller was down yet another key weapon in Stefon Diggs (IR, knee), leaving Tank Dell (six receptions, 126 yards) to garner the majority of Stroud's attention. Despite the unfavorable end result Thursday, brighter days should be ahead beginning with a Week 10 Sunday night home matchup against the Lions, considering Nico Collins (hamstring) is expected to be activated from injured reserve ahead of the Nov. 10 interconference clash.

  • Will Levis QB | TEN

Titans' Will Levis: Throws for second straight day

Levis (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Though Levis didn't take a step forward in terms of his listed practice activity after he was a limited participant in Wednesday's session, he threw passes for the second day in a row and seems to be making good progress in his recovery from an AC joint sprain in his shoulder. He originally sustained the injury in a Week 4 win over the Dolphins and was cleared to start in the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Colts coming out of a bye week, but since the shoulder issue was still affecting his mechanics and arm strength in that contest, Levis has proceeded to sit out the team's last two games. According to Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, offensive coordinator Nick Holz said Thursday that he's not discounting the possibility of Levis being ready to play this Sunday against the Patriots, though the Titans have game plans in place for both Levis and Mason Rudolph, who has started the past two contests. Once the Titans are convinced that Levis is fully healthy, Holz confirmed that the starting job will belong to the second-year quarterback, per Wyatt.

  • Drake Maye QB | NE

Patriots' Drake Maye: Another limited practice

Maye (concussion) remained limited at practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Back-to-back limited sessions set the stage for what Maye is able to do at practice Friday to loom large in terms of his chances of facing the Titans on Sunday. If the QB is unable to progress fully through the NFL's concussion protocol before then, however, Jacoby Brissett would be in line to draw the start against Tennessee.

  • Jayden Daniels QB | WAS

Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Stays limited in practice

Daniels (ribs) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.

After getting knocked out of Week 7 action against the Panthers early due to a rib injury, Daniels was able to suit up this past Sunday against the Bears and log 100 percent of the offensive snaps en route to 326 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions on 21-for-38 passing while rushing eight times for 52 yards. The performance, including a game-winning Hail Mary to WR Noah Brown, all but cleared up that he'll be OK on game days, but he'll continue to operate with a cap on his practice reps in the short term. Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not Daniels enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's road matchup with the Giants.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Gets in full practice Thursday

    Goff (ankle) practiced fully Thursday.

Goff was held out of Wednesday's session due to a sore ankle, but his return without limitations one day later paves the way for him to continue to lead the Lions offense. The reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Month will be taking on a Packers defense Sunday that has allowed the 14th-most yards per attempt (7.25) to opposing quarterbacks this season.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Saints' Derek Carr: Remains limited in practice

Carr (oblique) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Since straining his left oblique Week 5 at Kansas City, Carr has missed three consecutive games and didn't practice until this Wednesday, but he's now cobbled together back-to-back capped sessions. There's an expectation that Carr will return to action Sunday in Carolina, but it remains to be seen how he'll be listed on Friday's injury report, and who else may be available to the offense. Among skill players on the active roster, RB Alvin Kamara remains limited by hand and rib fractures and WRs Bub Means (ankle) and Cedrick Wilson (hip) also are banged-up, but Carr at least will have top WR Chris Olave and TE Juwan Johnson (shoulder) at his services.

  • Jordan Love QB | GB

Packers' Jordan Love: Limited in return to practice

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Love (groin) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

A groin strain knocked Love out of this past Sunday's 30-27 win over the Jaguars, but the quarterback is considered day-to-day and remains hopeful to start this weekend's matchup with the Lions in Green Bay. Love's ability to return to practice in some fashion Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session is an encouraging sign, though a decision on whether he'll be available to play this weekend may not be made until after Friday's practice. Malik Willis would be in store for his third start of the season Sunday if Love can't go.
