  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Good to go Sunday

Herbert (ankle) practiced fully Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

After turning in back-to-back limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, Herbert's full participation Friday paves the way for him to start against Denver this weekend. The QB has been managing an ankle injury of late, but Herbert no doubt benefited from the Chargers' Week 5 bye and should be closer to 100 percent ahead of Week 6 action.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Limited Friday, questionable for Sunday

Richardson (oblique) was limited at Friday's practice and officially is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Tennessee.

Richardson seemingly was in the clear to return to action for the first time since Week 4 after managing a full practice Thursday. Despite being limited both Wednesday and Friday, he was spotted throwing on the run and otherwise looking like himself throughout the week, which wasn't the case last week, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com. Richardson also took a majority of the reps with the Colts' first-team offense, but coach Shane Steichen said Friday that the second-year quarterback will be a game-time decision this weekend, per JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site. As a result, Richardson's status bears watching to see if he or veteran backup Joe Flacco will be under center following Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Limited by ankle Friday

Rodgers (ankle) remained limited in practice Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Rodgers has registered back-to-back limited practices as the Jets prepare for Monday's pivotal home game against the Bills, the winner of which will be in first place in the AFC East. He's dealing with a low-ankle sprain, but Rodgers may be over the hamstring issue that also has been bothering him, as it wasn't listed on Friday's injury report. He'll try to upgrade to full participation Saturday in an effort to avoid an injury designation.

  • Justin Fields QB | NYJ

Steelers' Justin Fields: Week 6 starter over healthy Wilson

Fields is in line to start Sunday's game against the Raiders, while coach Mike Tomlin said Friday that Russell Wilson is expected to be active in a backup role, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Fields is slated to make a sixth straight start to begin the season, but after Wilson was inactive for the first five games due to a calf injury, the veteran quarterback is expected to be available following a full week of practice. With Pittsburgh having dropped consecutive games after a 3-0 start, Fields could be in danger of losing the starting job to Wilson soon if the former Bears quarterback is unable to right the ship.

  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Titans' Mason Rudolph: Returning to bench vs. Colts

Rudolph will return to a backup role Sunday against the Colts, as coach Brian Callahan confirmed Friday that Will Levis will start, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Rudolph entered in relief after Levis hurt his shoulder in the first quarter of Tennessee's 31-12 Week 4 win over the Dolphins, but Levis has regained health coming out of the Week 5 bye. Rudolph will remain next in line should the Titans opt for a change under center, be it due to another injury or performance-related reasons.

  • Will Levis QB | TEN

Titans' Will Levis: Confirmed Week 6 starter

Coach Brian Callahan confirmed Friday that Levis will start Sunday's game against the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Levis exited the Week 4 win over Miami after injuring his shoulder in the first quarter, but a Week 5 bye gave him ample time to heal, and he practiced without limitations leading up to Sunday's game against the Colts. Indianapolis has struggled defensively, but Levis could be on a short leash after having committed nine turnovers already this season. Mason Rudolph will return to a backup role with Levis healthy.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Game-time decision this week

Per coach Shane Steichen, Richardson (oblique) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans and is considered a game-time decision for the contest, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.

Richardson practiced in full Thursday, but he's still slated to carry a Week 6 injury designation. His status thus is worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, with added context on that front likely to arrive late Saturday or early Sunday via NFL national reporters like ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. If the Colts elect to exercise caution with Richardson this weekend, veteran Joe Flacco would be next in line for the team's start at QB versus Tennessee.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Steelers' Russell Wilson: Expected to be backup Week 6

Coach Mike Tomlin said Friday that Wilson's expected to be active and serve as Justin Fields' backup Sunday against the Raiders, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson has been practicing without limitations in the lead-up to Sunday's game, putting him in position to be active for the first time this season after missing the first five games due to a calf injury. The veteran quarterback may eventually get a chance to supplant Fields, but Fields remains the starter for now after leading Pittsburgh to a 3-2 start.

  • Geno Smith QB | LV

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Mixed performance in Week 6 loss

Smith completed 30 of 52 passes for 312 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions and rushed once for no gain in the Seahawks' 36-24 loss to the 49ers on Thursday night.

Smith was able to post his third 300-yard effort of the season, but it was partly marred by his second multi-interception tally. Both of Smith's picks were particularly costly, with the first short-circuiting the opening possession of the game at the 49ers' two-yard line and the second coming in Seattle territory just before the midway point of the fourth quarter and the Seahawks down by six. Smith did distribute the ball in impressive fashion while connecting with eight different targets overall, and he's now put up over 50 pass attempts in two of the last three games. Smith next takes aim at the Falcons in a Week 7 road matchup on Sunday, Oct. 20.

  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: Bounces back with three TDs

Purdy completed 18 of 28 passes for 255 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the 49ers' 36-24 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also rushed four times for 19 yards.

Coming off a two-interception game and back-to-back contests with a sub-56.0 completion percentage, Purdy enjoyed a resurgent night that featured his second three-touchdown tally of the season. The third-year signal-caller's scoring tosses came in the second, third and fourth quarters, with Purdy connecting with Deebo Samuel (76 yards) and George Kittle (10 and nine yards). Purdy recorded completions to seven different pass catchers overall, and he'll likely need to turn in an even higher-caliber performance when he and the 49ers tangle with the Chiefs at home in a Week 7 Super Bowl rematch on Sunday, Oct. 20.
