  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Set to practice fully

Rodgers (knee) is slated to practice fully Wednesday, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv, Rodgers has been getting treatment as he contends with some knee swelling coming out of last Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos. However, the quarterback's looming full practice participation sets the stage for him to be available this Sunday against the Vikings, with head coach Robert Saleh telling Rich Cimini of ESPN.com that he is not concerned about Rodgers' Week 5 availability.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Could play without practice

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Wednesday that Richardson -- who is considered day-to-day with oblique and abdominal strains -- could still play Sunday against the Jaguars even he if doesn't practice this week, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

With that in mind, the extent of Richardson's involvement in Wednesday's practice has yet to be determined, but the key nugget to glean here is that the second-year quarterback has a chance to play this weekend. If Richardson is unavailable, however, Joe Flacco would be in line to start at quarterback in his place.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Banged up following Week 4

Allen took a big hit to his back in Sunday's loss to the Ravens, and Bills coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that his quarterback is "sore" but "should be fine," Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.

The Bills tried a trick play when they were attempting to mount a comeback in a game the Ravens were dominating, and it almost ended up costing them more than just one contest. Allen could be limited during practice this week, but there's almost no chance he misses Sunday's game against the Texans -- and against ex-teammate Stefon Diggs.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Set for another start

Coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday that Huntley will start for Miami on the road against New England on Sunday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Huntley was mediocre in his Dolphins debut during Monday's 31-12 loss to the Titans, in which he completed 14 of 22 passes for just 96 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He also rushed eight times for 40 yards and one score, providing a bit of a spark for Miami's rusty offense. McDaniel said Skylar Thompson (ribs) is taking longer than expected to recover, per Alain Poupart of SI.com, which informed the team's decision to name Huntley the Week 5 starter. A matchup against the Patriots provides Huntley with a solid bounce-back opportunity, given that New England has allowed the fifth-most passing yards in the NFL this season.

  • Will Levis QB | TEN

Titans' Will Levis: Still entrenched as starter

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Tuesday that Levis (shoulder) will remain Tennessee's starting quarterback after the team's Week 5 bye, as long as he's healthy, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Callahan said "there's no controversy, no second guessing" regarding Levis' standing as QB1, despite the fact that Mason Rudolph competently piloted the Titans to a 31-12 win over the Dolphins on Monday as his replacement. Levis departed early due to a shoulder injury sustained as he dove for a first down. While he's still slated for an MRI, Callahan said the quarterback is currently only sore, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, and that his difficulty throwing on the sideline Monday informed the team's decision not to have him re-enter the game. Levis will benefit from an extra week of rest before the team faces the Bills in Week 6.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Dealing with knee swelling

Rodgers (leg) said Tuesday on the Pat McAfee Show that his knee feels swollen in the aftermath of Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Rodgers said he's "feeling a little banged up" and his "knee is a little swollen" following a Week 4 loss in wet conditions. The veteran quarterback was sacked five times by Denver and could be seen moving gingerly in the second half. Though Rodgers said after the contest that both his legs were hurt, Jets head coach Robert Saleh downplayed any serious concerns. Wednesday's first official injury report of Week 5 will reveal more about Rodgers' health heading into a road matchup against the Vikings' intimidating defense this Sunday, but there aren't any indications that the 40-year-old is dealing with anything that would keep him sidelined.

  • Justin Fields QB | NYJ

    Steelers' Justin Fields: Remains starter

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday he's preparing for Fields to start versus the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Fields nearly led a Pittsburgh comeback during last week's 27-24 loss to the Colts, showcasing his playmaking ability both through the air and on the ground. Tomlin noted that Russell Wilson (calf) will resume handling team drills in practice this week, per Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a development that constitutes notable progress in the veteran's recovery from a lingering calf strain. It remains to be seen whether Wilson will manage to gain full clearance for Week 5, but when that does occur Fields will find himself with less margin for error under center.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Steelers' Russell Wilson: Ready to ramp up activity

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Wilson (calf) will have a "strong work day" at practice including reps from a live pocket, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Tomlin said he's still preparing for Justin Fields to start Sunday's game against the Cowboys, per Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site, but it sounds like Wilson will be closer to being cleared for the official backup role in Week 5, rather than having to act as Pittsburgh's emergency No. 3 quarterback for a fifth straight contest. Returning to 11-on-11 reps represents a notable step in the right direction for Wilson, who has yet to put any pressure on Fields as the starter. Tomlin's comments indicate Wilson has been limited to 7-on-7 work at practice in recent weeks. Wednesday's first official injury report of Week 5 will reveal whether Wilson has managed to upgrade to 'full' practice status, or whether the veteran signal-caller still officially remains limited.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Record performance in Week 4 win

Goff completed 18 of 18 pass attempts for 292 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, caught a seven-yard touchdown pass on his only target and rushed twice for minus-2 yards in the Lions' 42-29 win over the Seahawks on Monday night.

Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Goff became the first quarterback in NFL history to finish a game with a perfect completion percentage on more than 10 attempts and with over 200 passing yards, underscoring how locked in he was during the wild win. The touchdown grab on a Motor City version of the famed Philly Special was an added bonus, with Goff on the receiving end of an Amon-Ra St. Brown pass just past the midway point of the third quarter. Goff also connected with St. Brown for an eight-yard touchdown toss, but the biggest play of his night was a 70-yard scoring strike to Jameson Williams late in the third quarter that extended a 28-20 lead. Goff now has back-to-back two-touchdown-pass tallies heading into a Week 5 bye, and he should be in store for another busy day when Detroit returns to action on the road against the Cowboys on Sunday, Oct. 13.

  • Geno Smith QB | LV

Seahawks' Geno Smith: Sets career highs on MNF

Smith completed 38 of 56 pass attempts for 395 yards, one touchdown and one interception while rushing five times for 28 yards in Monday's 42-29 loss to the Lions.

Smith set career highs in passing attempts, completions and yards in a desperate attempt to keep the Seahawks afloat against a flawless Lions squad on Monday Night Football. The end result was positive for fantasy managers after the veteran QB threw for 300-plus yards for the second time in three weeks. Smith has struggled from a touchdown to turnover standpoint, throwing four of both through four games in 2024. The 3-1 Seahawks will set their sights on the Giants in a home matchup Sunday.
