Willis will be the Packers' starting quarterback for Sunday's game at Tennessee with Jordan Love (knee) inactive, Mike Spofford of the team's official site reports.

Willis is earning his second consecutive start in place of Love, who managed three straight limited practices before being listed as questionable for Week 3 action. Love clearly has made progress in his recovery from an MCL sprain that he sustained in the season opener, but the Packers again will exercise caution with their franchise quarterback. During last Sunday's win against the Colts, Willis completed 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while taking six carries for 41 yards.

Love seemingly put himself in a position to return after cobbling together three consecutive limited sessions during Week 3 prep, but the Packers will exercise caution and not rush back their franchise quarterback as he recovers from a sprained left MCL that he suffered in the season opener against the Eagles. He'll instead turn his focus to a Week 4 matchup with the Vikings, while Malik Willis will draw his second start in a row Sunday in place of Love.

HIll (chest) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Hill exited last Sunday's win at Dallas with a chest injury that forced a visit to a local hospital for further evaluation. He was able to travel back to New Orleans with his teammates, but he logged just two limited sessions in the meantime before the Saints listed him as questionable for Week 3 action. After the team downgraded him to doubtful Saturday, there was little leeway for Hill being available Sunday, and it's now been confirmed. In Hill's place, TEs Foster Moreau, Juwan Johnson and Dallin Holker and FB Adam Prentice will be tasked with stepping up in the Derek Carr-led offense.

The Panthers eventually expect to restore Young as their starting quarterback, though a timeline for him to reclaim the job from veteran Andy Dalton hasn't been established, sources tell Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Young was sent to the bench after completing 31 of 56 pass attempts for 245 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions while taking six sacks in the Panthers' first two games, non-competitive losses to the Saints and Chargers. Though Young has now gone just 2-16 as a starter since entering the NFL as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Panthers apparently aren't yet ready to pull the plug on developing the 23-year-old. According to sources familiar with the situation, Rapoport relays that Young's removal from the starting role is "viewed as a timeout" for the young signal-caller and "not a season-long benching." Young has reportedly handled his demotion well and has continued to work in practice this week as the scout-team quarterback, and the Panthers are hopeful that at least one game of watching from the sideline will be beneficial. Head coach Dave Canales will likely provide an update on the team's plans at quarterback following Dalton's first start Sunday in Las Vegas.

Herbert (ankle) is preparing to play Sunday against Pittsburgh, but the Chargers continue to list him as questionable and aren't expected to make a decision on his status until after pregame warmups, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Herbert is dealing with a right high-ankle sprain that resulted in him taking part in just one limited practice during Week 3 prep. The veteran quarterback appears intent on suiting up against the Steelers, but the Chargers aren't likely to allow him to play if his ankle doesn't hold up during warmups. Herbert's status remains in limbo, so fantasy managers who roster and plan to start him should be prepared with a backup option if he's ultimately ruled out ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Easton Stick would likely take over as the Chargers' starting signal-caller if Herbert isn't able to play, though Taylor Heinicke is also on the roster and could factor in.

Still, it's not surprising that other organizations have reached out to gauge Young's availability, as the Alabama product has undeniable talent and pedigree as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Dolphins signed Boyle off the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Boyle signed with the Dolphins' practice squad Aug. 29 after failing to make the Texans' 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. He'll join Miami's active roster and is expected to serve as the emergency quarterback Sunday against the Seahawks behind starter Skylar Thompson and backup Tyler Huntley.

Hill (chest) has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.

Hill was hospitalized last week due to a chest injury, so it would have been a bit surprising for the versatile player to be available the following week. Assuming the veteran doesn't play, both Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau figure to see plenty of opportunities against a porous Eagles defense.
