  • Sam Ehlinger QB | DEN

Broncos' Sam Ehlinger: Signed to Denver's active roster

The Broncos signed Ehlinger from the practice squad to the active roster Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Ehlinger has spent time on both the practice squad and active roster for Denver in 2025, serving as the team's QB3 behind Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham. Ehlinger figures to serve in that role in the divisional round.

  • Sean Clifford QB | CIN

Bengals' Sean Clifford: Staying with Cincy in 2026

The Bengals signed Clifford to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Clifford spent most of the 2025 season on the Bengals' practice squad after failing to make the Packers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He did not appear in a regular-season game for Cincinnati but was briefly on the active roster to serve as the team's emergency quarterback for Weeks 9 and 11. The 2023 fifth-rounder has not appeared in a regular-season game in each of the last two years, but he'll remain with the Bengals organization and participate in offseason activities with an eye toward making the active roster for 2026.

  • Buccaneers' Teddy Bridgewater: Still wants to play

Bridgewater said Monday that he wants to continue playing in the NFL next season but has yet to speak with the Buccaneers about a potential return, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Bridgewater is set to become a free agent this offseason. The 33-year-old appeared in four games for Tampa Bay in 2025 and saw extended action in Week 12 against the Rams when Baker Mayfield exited with a shoulder injury. Bridgewater completed eight out of 15 passes for 62 yards and rushed three times for four yards in that one game where he generated any statistics. Should the 10th-year pro reach free agency, he could draw interest from teams in need of a veteran backup in their QB room.

  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: Not expected to miss practice time

San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he expects Purdy (shoulder) to be a full participant in practice throughout the week leading up to Sunday's wild-card game at Philadelphia, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.

Though Purdy took every snap in this past Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Seahawks, he sustained what Shanahan labeled as a "stinger" when he was hit by a defender on the 49ers' final offensive play of the game. Shanahan relayed that Purdy would have been able to return to the Week 18 contest had the 49ers gotten the ball back, and the coach was even more adamant in his conviction that the quarterback would be available for the postseason opener after Purdy checked out fine upon getting evaluated further following Saturday's game. Purdy concluded the regular season having completed 197 of 284 pass attempts (69.4 percent) for 2,167 yards, 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions to go with 147 yards and three more scores on 33 carries across his nine appearances.

  • Seth Henigan QB | IND

Colts' Seth Henigan: Earns deal with Colts

The Colts signed Henigan to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Henigan was added to the Colts' practice squad in late December and served as Riley Leonard's backup quarterback in Week 18 after being dropped by the Jaguars early in the 2025 season. The 22-year-old rookie is expected to compete for a reserve quarterback role throughout the offseason.

  • Cam Ward QB | TEN

Titans' Cam Ward: Will avoid surgery on shoulder

Ward was diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder after undergoing testing Monday and isn't expected to require offseason surgery, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Ward ended up starting all 17 games during his rookie season for the Titans, but after taking every snap through the first 16 contests, an injury to his throwing shoulder forced him out of Sunday's 41-7 loss to the Jaguars following Tennessee's opening drive. The Titans were initially fearful that Ward had suffered a significant injury that might need surgery, but the young signal-caller appears to have received a more favorable prognosis than expected after being sent in for tests. The Titans haven't offered a timeline for when Ward will be fully recovered from the shoulder injury, however, so his availability for the start of the team's offseason program could be affected. Ward wrapped up his 2025 campaign with 323 completions on 540 attempts (59.8 percent) for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 159 yards and two scores on 39 carries. He was particularly effective following the Titans' Week 10 bye, raising his completion rate to 62.4 percent while accounting for 12 touchdowns (10 passing, two rushing) and committing just three turnovers (one interception, two lost fumbles) over the final eight games.

  • Davis Mills QB | HOU

Texans' Davis Mills: Finishes out regular-season finale

Mills completed three of nine pass attempts for 36 yards and rushed for 12 yards on one carry in Sunday's 38-30 win over the Colts in Week 18.

The playoff-bound Texans protected starter C.J. Stroud and let Mills close out the second half of the regular-season finale, once it became clear that an AFC South title wasn't in the cards. A healthy Stroud will helm Houston's playoff game next Monday at Pittsburgh. Mills, who filled in earlier this season when Stroud was hurt, finished the 2025 regular season having completing 91 of 159 attempts (57 percent) with five touchdowns and one interception.

  • J.J. McCarthy QB | MIN

Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Exits early in season finale

McCarthy completed 14 of 23 pass attempts for 182 yards and added seven yards on two carries before exiting Sunday's 16-3 win over the Packers in the third quarter after aggravating a right hand injury.

Unfortunately for McCarthy, his 10th career start came to an early end, as he attempted just one pass in the second half before informing head coach Kevin O'Connell that the small hairline fracture in his throwing hand was presenting issues with gripping the football. After having his entire 2024 rookie season wiped out by a meniscus tear in his right knee, McCarthy missed seven total games in 2025 due to a right high-ankle sprain, a concussion and the aforementioned hand injury. When available, he showed strong scrambling ability (181 rushing yards and four touchdowns), but proved to be raw as a passer. On the season, McCarthy completed just 57.6 percent of his throws for 6.7 yards per attempt and an 11:12 TD:INT, and he also took 27 sacks on 270 dropbacks (10 percent sack rate) while fumbling six times (losing two). The 22-year-old will tentatively head into 2026 atop Minnesota's depth chart, but Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported Sunday that the Vikings are expected to explore more established options at quarterback via trade or free agency this offseason, potentially forcing McCarthy to compete for the starting job in training camp.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Earns playoff berth on SNF

Rodgers completed 31 of 47 pass attempts for 294 yards and a touchdown while gaining 20 yards on his only carry in Sunday's 26-24 victory over the Ravens.

Rodgers was in vintage form on Sunday Night Football as he fought for the right to represent the AFC North in the postseason. The 41-year-old turned back the clock with the campaign on the line to throw for a season-high 294 yards while earning a critical victory for Pittsburgh. Rodgers was plenty useful at various points of the schedule, but his overall production (3,322 yards, 24 TDs, seven INT) in 2025 fell short of the volume he produced during his prime, or even from his last year with the Jets. The future Hall of Famer will be making the 12th playoff appearance of his career in his first season with the Steelers when Rodgers faces the Texans next Monday in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

  • Raiders' Aidan O'Connell: Plays three quarters in finale

O'Connell completed 10 of 22 passes for 102 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 14-12 win over the Chiefs. He added one rush for seven yards.

O'Connell was set to rotate with Kenny Pickett, though he ultimately played the final three quarters of the game after Pickett struggled. O'Connell wasn't exceptional in relief, but he did manage to complete a pair of passes for more than 20 yards while also avoiding significant mistakes. He'll remain under contract with the Raiders in 2026 and could be set to compete for the backup role, with the team almost certain to draft a quarterback first overall in the upcoming draft.
