Andy Dalton QB | PHI
Panthers' Andy Dalton: Dealing with illness
Dalton is dealing with an illness ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Titans, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
The backup quarterback to rookie No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young is listed as questionable on the injury report. Dalton has played in three games and on 77 offensive snaps this season.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Getting surgery Monday
Burrow is set to undergo surgery Monday to repair the torn ligament in his right wrist, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Burrow will miss the rest of the season after Cincinnati placed him on injured reserve Saturday, just over a week after he suffered the injury in the Bengals' Nov. 16 loss to the Ravens. The expectation is that Burrow will make a full recovery in advance of the 2024 season, but the Bengals will turn the offense over to Jake Browning beginning with this Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Mac Jones QB | SF
Patriots' Mac Jones: Appears in line to start Sunday
The Patriots are planning to have Jones start Sunday's contest against the Giants, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
After speaking to the media Friday, head coach Bill Belichick refused to commit to either Jones, Bailey Zappe or another option as the team's starting quarterback coming out of New England's Week 11 bye. Jones and Zappe split starting reps during practice this week, with Jones reportedly putting on the better performance. That appears to have been enough to allow him to maintain the lead role behind center, though a poor start to this Sunday's clash with New York could lead Belichick to turn to Zappe at any moment.

Jaren Hall QB | SEA
Vikings' Jaren Hall: Available for Monday
Hall (concussion) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Monday's game against the Bears.
Hall sustained a concussion in his first career start against the Falcons in Week 9. He was able to log full practice sessions ahead of Week 12 and seems to have passed the NFL's five-step concussion protocol given that he does not carry an injury designation. While Joshua Dobbs has established himself as the starting quarterback for the Vikings after being traded from the Cardinals, there is less certainty around whether Hall will be the backup or if Minnesota opts to roll with Nick Mullens as the QB2.

AJ McCarron QB | CIN
Bengals' AJ McCarron: Elevated to active roster
McCarron has been elevated to the Bengals' active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Steelers.
This move was expected, as Joe Burrow (wrist) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. McCarron is now set to back up Jake Browning under center. The veteran former has not seen the field for regular-season action since 2020 with the Texans.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Officially lands on IR
The Bengals officially placed Burrow (wrist) on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
No surprise here, as Burrow is set to miss the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in his right wrist. Cincinnati elevated AJ McCarron from the practice squad in a corresponding move to back up Jake Browning under center. Burrow will now focus on his recovery and rehabbing for the 2024 season.

Will Grier QB | DAL
Will Grier: Waived by Patriots
Grier was waived by the Patriots on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
New England signed Grier to its active roster off the Bengals' practice squad in September. He has since been available for depth under center behind Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe, but his services were never called for. The 28-year-old has not seen the field for regular-season action since 2019 in Carolina, and he is now set to look for a new opportunity. One possibility is landing on the Pats' practice squad, assuming he clears waivers.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Jets' Tim Boyle: In line for another start
Coach Robert Saleh has confirmed that Boyle will remain the Jets' starting QB for the team's Dec. 3 contest against the Falcons, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site and Rich Cimini of ESPN.com report.
In Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins, Boyle (while replacing Zach Wilson as the team's starting signal caller) completed 27 of 38 passes for 179 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. In his upcoming start versus Atlanta, Boyle isn't a high-percentage lineup option, but he does offer an alternative for fantasy managers in QB-heavy formats as well those impacted by Week 13 byes.

Brett Rypien QB | MIN
Brett Rypien: Heads back to practice squad
The Seahawks reverted Rypien to their practice squad Friday.
Rypien was elevated from the practice squad in the event that Geno Smith (elbow) was unable to play. Rypien served as the emergency quarterback behind Smith and Drew Lock in Thursday's loss to the 49ers.

Tim Boyle QB | TEN
Jets' Tim Boyle: Fails to ignite offense in start
Boyle completed 27 of 38 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins. He added two yards on two rushing attempts.
Boyle mustered just 35 passing yards in the first half, which he capped with a Hail Mary attempt that resulted in a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown, stunting the momentum the Jets built up from a pick-six of their own less than a minute earlier. He finally led the offense into Miami territory for the first time in the fourth quarter, only to throw a red-zone interception. On the next drive, Boyle threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson. Prior to bolstering his stats with the game out of hand, Boyle looked even worse than Zach Wilson had prior to Wilson's benching, so perhaps Wilson or Trevor Siemian could get an opportunity to play in Week 13 against the Falcons while Aaron Rodgers remains sidelined by a torn Achilles. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, head coach Robert Saleh was non-committal on a Week 13 starting quarterback in his postgame press conference Friday.
