  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Huge day in losing effort

Prescott completed 29 of 44 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Eagles. He also gained 14 rushing yards on six carries.

After a three-and-out on the Cowboys' first drive, Prescott was locked in the rest of the way and posted his highest yardage total since he lit the Patriots up for 445 yards in Week 6 of the 2021 season. He and the Cowboys had plenty of chances to steal a win in Philadelphia but missed by inches -- Luke Schoonmaker was judged to be just short of the goal line early in the fourth quarter for what would have been Prescott's fourth TD of the day, and the QB himself stepped out of bounds on a two-point conversion attempt later in the final frame that would have resulted in Dallas needing only a field goal to tie it on their last possession. Prescott has a 7:1 TD:INT and 678 passing yards over the last two weeks, but he likely won't need to be as busy in Week 10 against a Giants team the Cowboys already routed once this season.

  • Tommy DeVito QB | NE

Giants' Tommy DeVito: Takes over for injured starter

DeVito completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 175 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while rushing four times for 17 yards after taking over for Daniel Jones (knee) in the first half of Sunday's 30-6 loss to Las Vegas.

Initial reports suggest that Jones tore his ACL after going down on the first play of the second quarter in his return from a neck issue that held him out of last week's loss to the Jets, as reported by Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo of NFL Network. DeVito took over under center after being signed from the team's practice squad earlier in the week. The undrafted free agent out of Illinois performed adequately given the circumstances, but it did not result in a standout fantasy performance. Assuming Monday's MRIs confirm that Jones will be sidelined for an extended period, DeVito could be the de facto starter against the Cowboys next Sunday with primary backup Tyrod Taylor (ribs) already on IR. Veteran Matt Barkley -- who is currently on New York's practice squad -- could also be an option if the Giants do not bring in competition from outside the organization.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Awful performance in loss

Young completed 24 of 39 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Colts. He added 41 rushing yards on five carries.

While three picks were bad enough, the fact that two of them were returned for touchdowns by Kenny Moore -- one for 49 yards in the second quarter and the second for 66 yards in the fourth -- ensured the Panthers had no hope of mounting a comeback. Young continues to experience significant growing pains as a rookie, and he's tossed multiple TDs only once in his first seven NFL starts while being intercepted multiple times on three occasions, leaving him with an 8:7 TD:INT. Joe Person of The Athletic reports that coach Frank Reich has given no thought to benching Young for veteran Andy Dalton, and a switch under center would be even trickier to manage on a short week as the Panthers begin preparations for a Thursday night matchup with the Bears in Week 10.

  • Colts' Gardner Minshew: Mistake-free ball in win

Minshew completed 17 of 26 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Panthers.

He also gained five yards on five carries. Minshew didn't need to do much on a day when the Indianapolis defense intercepted Bryce Young three times and returned two of them to the house, but the QB did toss a screen pass to Jonathan Taylor in the second quarter that turned into a 10-yard touchdown. More importantly. Minshew didn't commit a turnover after getting picked off five times and losing four fumbles over the last three games, giving him a boost of confidence heading into a Week 10 matchup with the Patriots.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Torn ACL feared

Jones is believed to have suffered a significant knee injury in Sunday's 30-6 loss to the Raiders, and an ACL tear is feared based on initial tests, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.

Jones will have an MRI on Monday to determine the exact nature of the knee injury, but if he's indeed suffered a torn ACL, he would be lost for the season. With Tyrod Taylor (ribs) on injured reserve, the Giants will likely turn to either rookie Tommy DeVito or practice squad quarterback Matt Barkley for at least the next three games.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Ruled out of Sunday's game

Jones (knee) won't return to Sunday's contest in Las Vegas.

Jones is dealing with a potentially serious right knee injury after it collapsed on him twice in a few plays spanning the first and second quarters. Prior to his exit, he completed four of nine passes for 25 yards and took two carries for nine yards. Tommy DeVito is the only other healthy quarterback on the active roster with Tyrod Taylor (rib cage) on injured reserve and Matt Barkley on the practice squad.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Modest output in blowout victory

Jackson completed 21 of 26 passes for 187 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 37-3 win over Seattle. He added 10 rushes for 60 yards.

The Ravens were able to coast throughout much of the game after building up a 17-3 lead by halftime. As a result, Jackson had limited pass attempts and a similarly underwhelming fantasy fantasy performance. The positive was his production as a rusher, which marked the third time he's topped 60 rushing yards on the season. Jackson also suffered an injury scare in the fourth quarter when he appeared to tweak his ankle, but coach John Harbaugh indicated after the game that the issue wasn't serious, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

  • Clayton Tune QB | GB

Cardinals' Clayton Tune: Ragged starting debut Sunday

Tune completed 11 of 20 passes for 58 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Cardinals' 27-0 loss to the Browns on Sunday. He also rushed five times for 28 yards and lost a fumble.

The results were about what was to be expected when throwing a rookie quarterback out for his first start against an aggressive Browns defense, with Tune often looking out of sorts while taking a whopping seven sacks. The 2023 fifth-round pick averaged just 2.9 yards per attempt and saw his first pick lead to a Cleveland touchdown and his second result in a field-goal attempt that was missed. Tune's stint under center is likely to be a one-and-done scenario unless the Cardinals opt to let Kyler Murray's (knee) 21-day practice window close this upcoming week without activating him.

  • Tyson Bagent QB | CHI

Bears' Tyson Bagent: Picked off thrice in Week 9 loss

Bagent completed 18 of 30 passes for 220 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in the Bears' 24-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday. He also rushed eight times for 70 yards and lost a fumble while recovering another.

As has been the case in each of his appearances this season, Bagent certainly had his moments, including as a runner. The undrafted rookie also showed his inexperience on multiple occasions, however, with his first interception leading to a game-tying touchdown for the Saints in the opening period. Bagent did partly make up for the turnovers with 18- and nine-yard scoring tosses to Cole Kmet. It remains to be seen whether Bagent will be called on for at least one more start in a Thursday night Week 10 home matchup against the Panthers or if Justin Fields (thumb) will be ready to return to action in that contest.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Progressing through thumb sprain

Coach Sean McVay said after Sunday's loss at Green Bay that Stafford (thumb) is "making good progress" as it pertains to gripping a football, "but it wasn't anywhere to where we thought he would be able to go for us" Week 9, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Stafford hasn't logged any on-field work since suffering a sprained UCL in his right thumb last Sunday in Dallas. He ended up being listed as questionable for Week 9 action, but as McVay indicated, Stafford was a long shot to be available in the end. The Rams have a Week 10 bye, so Stafford will have two more weeks to rest up before the team's next game Nov. 19 against the Seahawks. Brett Rypien stepped in for Stafford this Sunday, completing 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards, no touchdowns and one interception, tallying three carries for 19 yards and fumbling twice (one lost).
