Garoppolo (back) completed 10 of 21 passes for 126 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Monday's 26-14 loss to the Lions. He added two rushing attempts for 12 yards.

Garoppolo looked rusty in his return from a one-game absence due to a back injury. He had just 31 passing yards with an interception in the first half, and things didn't get much better after halftime. Vegas' first touchdown was scored by Josh Jacobs on the ground, and the second came courtesy of the defense on a pick-six. Garoppolo's leg bent awkwardly when he took an illegal low hit in the fourth quarter, but the oft-injured quarterback managed to stay in the game, and a silver lining from this ugly performance is that Garoppolo seems to have walked away healthy. He'll look to shake off the rust at home against the Giants in Week 9.

Willis did not attempt a pass in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Falcons. He rushed the ball twice for four yards.

Willis was expected to earn some reps under center alongside Will Levis with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) sidelined, though he found himself on the field for only two snaps. Given the success Levis had in producing explosive plays, it's unlikely Willis sees an expanded role in the Titans' Week 9 matchup against Pittsburgh.

DeVito reverted to the Giants' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

DeVito entered Sunday's game against the Jets in the second quarter after Tyrod Taylor went down with a rib cage injury. While DeVito eventually played 50 of 75 offensive snaps, he almost primarily was a handoff artist, finishing Week 8 with minus-1 yard on 2-for-7 passing and four carries for 12 yards and one touchdown. As for the backfield, Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida combined for 41 rushes for 141 yards. There's a chance DeVito will be called upon to start Week 9 at Las Vegas, with Taylor considered week-to-week, but Daniel Jones, the Giants' starting signal-caller when healthy, was cleared for contact Sunday, so he may get the nod if the team deems him able to handle the rigors of game action.

The Rams signed Wolford off Tampa Bay's practice squad Monday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.

Wolford will now return to Los Angeles, where he spent the past three seasons. With Matthew Stafford dealing with a thumb injury, Wolford provides an experienced option at quarterback with knowledge of the system in case Stafford misses time.

Hoyer is inactive for Monday night's game against the Lions.

Hoyer drew the start in the Raiders' Week 7 loss to the Bears, but with Jimmy Garoppolo (back) having returned to the lineup, Hoyer has been deemed inactive Monday. As a result, Aidan O'Connell is slated to serve as the team's No. 2 QB versus Detroit.

Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Monday that it is less likely that Bennett (illness) will return to the team this season, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Bennett was placed on the reserve/NFI list on Sept. 13 with an illness, though Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reported at the time that McVay did not expand on the specifics of the illness "out of respect for the particulars and the specifics." With Matthew Stafford sustaining a UCL sprain in his right thumb in the Rams' 43-20 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, Bennett would have been in line to take over as the backup QB behind Brett Rypien if Stafford were to miss time, but it appears as though the rookie quarterback out of Georgia is unlikely to make an appearance in the 2023 season.

Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that Tune or Kyler Murray (knee) will be the Cardinals' starting quarterback Sunday at Cleveland, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Following Sunday's 31-24 loss the Ravens, Gannon noted to Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com that Joshua Dobbs would be the team's starter again Week 9, but a video session of that contest has caused him to change his tune, per Urban. Tune is a rookie fifth-round pick and has made just one cameo this season -- Week 7 at Seattle -- in which he completed his only pass for four yards, but he was fairly prolific his final two campaigns at Houston, throwing for 7,610 yards and 70 touchdowns in 27 games. His chances to be Arizona's starting signal-caller Sunday are contingent on Murray gaining clearance to play following last season's torn ACL, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Tune likely will get the nod.

Coach Sean McVay relayed Monday that Stafford is dealing with a UCL sprain in his right thumb, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

As a result, Stafford is considered day-to-day as Sunday's game against the Packers approaches. While it remains to be seen if the veteran quarterback is able to play this weekend, as Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register notes, Stafford has avoided a worst-case scenario with regard to his thumb issue. If Stafford is unable to gain clearance to face Green Bay, Brett Rypien would be in line to draw the start at QB for the Rams in Week 9.
