Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: Could share snaps if Tannehill sits
Head coach Mike Vrabel acknowledged Wednesday that both Levis and Malik Willis would play Sunday against the Falcons if Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is unavailable, but Vrabel noted that Levis hasn't yet been confirmed as the team's starting quarterback in such a scenario, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Per Wyatt, Vrabel suggested that if Tannehill doesn't play this weekend, the Titans may opt to alternate series between Levis and Willis. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network previously reported that Tennessee was prepping Levis to be the team's Week 8 starter, but for now the situation still looks to be fluid. Tannehill isn't set to practice Wednesday and appears to be trending toward missing at least one game.

Malik Willis QB | MIA
Titans' Malik Willis: Expected to give way to Levis
Willis is a candidate to see snaps in Sunday's game against Falcons, though the Titans are preparing Will Levis to start and see the bulk of the playing time at quarterback in the expected absence of Ryan Tannehill (ankle), Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Added clarity on the Titans' plans at quarterback should emerge in the coming days, but if Tannehill is indeed ruled out ahead of the Week 8 contest, Tennessee looks as though it'll give Levis the first opportunity to replace the veteran signal-caller. Willis has been active ahead of Levis as the Titans' No. 2 quarterback for each of the team's first six games and has made two appearances, completing four of five pass attempts for 74 yards while adding 17 yards on three carries and taking four sacks. If the Titans do in fact opt for a timeshare arrangement between Levis and Willis in Week 8, the latter could be deployed as more of a change-of-pace option than a traditional pocket passer due to his rushing ability.

Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: Preparing for start vs. Falcons
The Titans are expected to start Levis over Malik Willis during Sunday's game against the Falcons with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) not expected to be available, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Head coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that both Levis and Willis would be expected to see the field if Tannehill's high-ankle sprain keeps him sidelined Week 8. Though he's been the Titans' No. 3 quarterback all season, Levis looks primed to draw the start and see the bulk of the playing time behind center over Willis, who has appeared in relief of Tannehill in Weeks 3 and 6. The Titans' Week 7 bye likely gave Levis some more time to prepare for assignment, and with Willis having struggled to impress in his limited NFL action through his first two seasons in the league, it makes sense for the Tennessee to take a look at the rookie second-round pick as early as possible and see what he offers.

Anthony Richardson QB | IND
Colts' Anthony Richardson: Undergoes surgery
Richardson underwent successful surgery Tuesday to address a Grade 3 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, Colts owner Jim Irsay announced via his personal Twitter account.
The Colts placed Richardson on injured reserve Oct. 11 after he sustained the shoulder injury Week 5. The surgery will end Richardson's rookie season, but the Colts are optimistic that he'll be fully healthy ahead of the 2024 campaign. Gardner Minshew will continue serving as the team's starting signal-caller in place of Richardson.

Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Browns' Deshaun Watson: Diagnosed with rotator cuff strain
Watson has a strain of the subscapularis within the rotator cuff Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per the report, this type of injury in baseball normally causes pitchers to miss 4-to-6 weeks. He is hoping to shorten that window while rehabbing the injury, so it remains to be seen how long that will take. The veteran quarterback has missed two games over the past three weeks and took just 12 snaps in Week 7 before exiting. PJ Walker subsequently replaced him under center and is expected to continue doing so should Watson miss more time.

Malik Cunningham QB | DET
Malik Cunningham: Gets cut Tuesday
The Patriots waived Cunningham on Tuesday.
New England signed Cunningham off its practice squad ahead of a Week 6 matchup with the Raiders, and the undrafted rookie proceeded to play six offensive snaps and record no stats. He then was inactive this past Sunday versus the Bills. Following Tuesday's transaction, Cunningham is a candidate to end up back on the Patriots' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Listed as limited Tuesday
Mayfield (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice report.
Like wide receiver Chris Godwin (neck), Mayfield was able to move from a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report to having a cap on his reps one day later. Mayfield thus will have one more chance to prove the health of his knee before the Buccaneers determine whether or not he holds a designation ahead of Thursday's game at Buffalo.

Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: NFL debut could come Week 8
Coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday he would expect both Levis and Malik Willis to see the field Sunday versus Atlanta if Ryan Tannehill (ankle) isn't able to play, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Levis has been a healthy scratch all season, serving as the Titans' third quarterback with Malik Willis having been the No. 2 option. If Tannehill's right high-ankle sprain requires another week of recovery, however, it sounds like Tennessee will take advantage of the opportunity to take a look at Levis under center. The rookie second-round pick missed two of Tennessee's three preseason games due to a thigh injury, so the team hasn't had many chances to evaluate him in game action yet.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Not ready to practice yet
Head coach Mike Vrabel said that Tannehill (ankle) won't practice Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Tannehill is considered unlikely to play Week 8 versus the Falcons, despite the fact that the Titans are coming off a bye, though he hasn't been ruled out yet. The veteran QB was forced to sit out the last quarter of Tennessee's loss to the Ravens in Week 6 due to a right high-ankle sprain, an injury that could require a multi-week absence. Vrabel also said he expects both Malik Willis and rookie second-round pick Will Levis to see the field versus Atlanta if Tannehill ultimately can't go.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Two late INTs prove costly
Purdy completed 21 of 30 pass attempts for 272 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Monday's 22-17 loss to the Vikings. He also recorded 19 rushing yards on five attempts.
The 49ers got off to a slow start on both sides of the ball Monday, but Purdy and company righted the ship on offense to give the team a chance at victory in the fourth quarter. That's where things fell apart for the young QB after he threw interceptions on consecutive promising drives, resulting in San Francisco's second upset loss in as many weeks. Purdy has thrown three interceptions in these two losses, matching the combined total from his 11 previous appearances (all wins) dating back to his incredible run as a rookie last year. Some of the shine may have worn off of Purdy's rising star given his recent struggles, but he could restore its luster with a strong performance against the Bengals on Sunday.
