Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Solid numbers in Week 8 loss
Mayfield completed 25 of 42 passes for 237 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding three rushes for 19 yards in the Buccaneers' 24-18 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. He also committed a fumble but recovered it and threw a two-point conversion pass.
Mayfield's numbers were certainly acceptable from a fantasy perspective, with the veteran signal-caller authoring his third multi-touchdown effort of the campaign. Mayfield hit his top duo of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans for three- and 24-yard scoring tosses in the second and third quarters, respectively, but he couldn't get the Buccaneers past their own 45-yard line on the final possession of the contest. Despite Tampa Bay suffering its third straight loss Thursday, Mayfield has put together a serviceable body of work through the first seven games on his way to 1,600 passing yards and an impressive 10:4 TD:INT. He'll next take aim at the Texans in a Week 9 road matchup on Sunday, Nov. 5.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Eclipses 300-yard mark in win
Allen completed 31 of 40 passes for 324 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and added seven carries for 41 yards and another score in the Bills' 24-18 win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Allen put together his third 300-yard effort of the season -- all which have come within the last five games -- with the help of 22- and four-yard scoring tosses to Dalton Kincaid and Gabe Davis. The mobile signal-caller also recorded the first touchdown of the night on a 13-yard rush early in the second quarter to extend the Bills' lead to 10-0 at the time. Allen focused heavily on his top receiving trio of Khalil Shakir, Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs, with the talented wideouts responsible for 24 of Allen's completions, 249 of his yards and one of his touchdown passes. Allen did see his streak of games with at least one interception extend to four, but it was a tipped ball and he'll still carry a solid 17:8 TD:INT for the season into a Week 9 road showdown against the Bengals on Sunday night, Nov. 5.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Officially limited Thursday
Purdy (concussion) officially was a limited practice participant Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
In the wake of Monday's 22-17 loss at Minnesota, Purdy developed concussion symptoms on the flight back to San Francisco, which was revealed by coach Kyle Shanahan prior to Wednesday's practice, according to Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News. While Purdy was absent from that session, he was spotted rolling out and throwing a pass Thursday, per Wagoner. Purdy thus has taken a tangible step in his quest through the protocol for head injuries, but considering the timing of the diagnosis on a short week of prep, he may be up against it to be available Sunday against the Bengals. If Purdy isn't able to gain clearance to play this weekend, Sam Darnold will direct the 49ers offense.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Active in Week 8
Mayfield (knee) is active for Thursday's game at Buffalo, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Mayfield's status for Week 8 was up in the air after following a DNP/LP/FP practice regimen this week due to a knee issue. Having said that, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported earlier Thursday that Mayfield was slated to suit up, and indeed that has come to pass. Mayfield will have a tough task on his hands against a Bills defense that has given up the fifth-fewest points per game (16.9) this season.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Raiders' Jimmy Garoppolo: Returns to limited practice
Garoppolo (back) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Garoppolo didn't practice at all last week, so the QB's return to a limited session Thursday has him trending in a positive direction ahead of Monday night's game against the Lions. For his part, coach Josh McDaniels noted that the team is "hopeful" Garoppolo will be available for Week 8 action, with the signal-caller now having two more opportunities to increase his practice participation before the Raiders submit their final injury report of the week Saturday.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Gets removed from injury report
Murray (knee) isn't listed on Thursday's injury report but remains on the reserve/PUP list, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Murray has been practicing for a little more than one week, but after logging a full session Wednesday, he now isn't being limited by the torn ACL that he suffered in his right knee Dec. 12 of last season. That's not to say the Cardinals will activate him from the PUP list ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens, especially because his current on-field work is happening with wide receivers and tight ends on the team's practice squad, per GoPHNX.com. Still, Arizona has until Saturday afternoon to make a decision on Murray's availability for Week 8. If Murray doesn't return Sunday, Joshua Dobbs will remain the team's starting quarterback.

Taysom Hill QB | NO
Saints' Taysom Hill: Remains limited Thursday
Hill (chest) was limited in practice Thursday.
Hill has been donning a red non-contact jersey in practice so far during Week 8 prep as he deals with a chest injury, per Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. With back-to-back capped sessions in his back pocket, Hill has only one more chance to get back to all activity Friday, at which point he may enter the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game at Indianapolis. Meanwhile, fellow TEs Juwan Johnson (calf) and Jimmy Graham (illness) also were limited Thursday, creating a murky situation at the position for New Orleans.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Returns to practice Thursday
Purdy (concussion) is taking part in Thursday's practice session, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Shortly before the team's first practice of the week Wednesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that Purdy entered the NFL's concussion protocol after being evaluated at some point following Monday's 22-17 loss to the Vikings. With just five days off between games than the usual six, Purdy is facing an uphill battle to gain clearance to start this Sunday against the Bengals, but his presence at practice Thursday at least keeps the door open for him to play. The 49ers will reveal after practice concludes whether Purdy was a limited or full participant, but the signal-caller will still need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist in any case before exiting the protocol. Sam Darnold took all the first-team reps at Wednesday's walk-through session and would be in line to start Sunday if Purdy isn't available.

Trevor Lawrence QB | JAC
Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Another limited practice
Lawrence (knee) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday.
Lawrence was also limited Wednesday, but so far there's nothing to suggest that the quarterback is in danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Steelers. However, Lawrence will probably need to be a full practice participant Friday in order to head into the weekend without an injury designation.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Not practicing again
Tannehill (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, Tannehill is dealing with what he described as a right high-ankle sprain, an injury that leaves the quarterback unlikely to play Sunday against the Falcons. If Tannehill ends up sidelined this weekend, head coach Mike Vrabel has said that both Will Levis and Malik Willis will be in line to see snaps in the contest. Levis is expected to start in such a scenario and would likely be in store to take the majority of the snaps at quarterback.
