  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Doesn't practice Thursday

Burrow (calf) was listed as a non-participant in practice Thursday, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

Head coach Zac Taylor previously relayed that the Bengals plan to take it "day-to-day" with Burrow and "assess [him] each day," per Hobson, For his part, Burrow was non-committal about his availability for Monday's game against the Rams, according to Hobson. Burrow now has two more chances to practice before the Bengals determine whether or not he'll approach the contest with an injury designation.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Gets in full practice Thursday

Hill (knee) practiced fully Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Hill opened Week 3 prep with a limited listing on Wednesday's practice estimate, but the knee injury that capped any potential reps didn't do so one day later, setting him up to be available for Sunday's game at Green Bay. The Saints appear as if they won't have the services of Jamaal Williams (hamstring) this weekend due to his lack of on-field work Wednesday and Thursday, which could give Hill another chance for carries along with Tony Jones and rookie Kendre Miller (hamstring). In the Saints' Week 2 win at Carolina on Monday, Hill recorded nine rushes for 75 yards, gathered in one of two targets for minus-1 yard and completed his only pass for eight yards.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Panthers' Andy Dalton: Week 3 start likely awaits

Dalton is in line to start Sunday's game in Seattle after the Panthers announced Thursday that No. 1 quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) is unlikely to play, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Young hasn't yet been officially ruled out for Sunday, but after logging no activity in practices Wednesday and Thursday after injuring his ankle in Monday's loss to to the Saints, he doesn't look as though he'll be available in anything more than a backup capacity if he suits up this weekend. For the second day in a row, Dalton worked with the first-team offense to prepare himself for what would be his first start with the Panthers. As a 14-game starter for the Saints a season ago, Dalton completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 7.6 yards per attempt and an 18:9 TD:INT, but he could struggle to replicate that level of efficiency while playing alongside a Carolina pass-catching corps that's less talented than what he worked with a year ago.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Likely to sit out Week 3

The Panthers announced that Young (ankle) is unlikely to play Sunday in Seattle after sitting out practices Wednesday and Thursday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Andy Dalton took reps with the first-team offense for the second day in a row and is trending toward the Week 3 start while Young nurses the ankle injury he picked up in the Panthers' 20-17 loss to the Saints on Monday. Carolina hasn't officially ruled Young out from suiting up Sunday, but even if he practices in some fashion Friday and avoids the inactive list, he may be available only in a backup capacity behind Dalton. Carolina signed Jake Luton to its practice squad Wednesday and would likely elevate him to the 53-man roster if Young isn't deemed fit to handle backup duties this weekend.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Slated to miss practice

Richardson (concussion) isn't in line to practice Thursday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com, Richardson was present for the session but is slated to be a spectator. Richardson thus has one more opportunity to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens, but if he isn't cleared to play, Gardner Minshew would be slated to draw the start at QB for the Colts in Week 3.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Dealing with soreness

Coach Zac Taylor noted that Burrow is still dealing with some soreness in his right calf ahead of Thursday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

The report adds that if Burrow is able to practice Thursday, the QB isn't likely to participate fully. With that in mind, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site relays that the team is taking things day-by-day with Burrow as Monday night's game against the Rams approaches. If Burrow is unavailable for Week 3 action, Jake Browning would be in line to start in his place versus Los Angeles.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Panthers' Andy Dalton: Trending toward Week 3 start

Dalton will work with the first-team offense at Thursday's practice with Bryce Young (ankle) sitting out the session and appears to be in line to start Sunday's game in Seattle, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Young picked up the ankle injury at some point during Monday's 20-17 loss to the Saints and will now be listed as a non-participant on the Panthers' first two Week 3 practice reports. Though Young could get back on the field Friday to practice in some fashion, David Newton of ESPN.com notes that Thursday's session is the most critical of the week for the Panthers with regard to installing their game plan for the matchup with Seattle. Additionally, Person notes that Dalton is set to meet with the media Thursday, an indication the Panthers are planning to proceed with him as their starter for Week 3. The 35-year-old is little more than a competent game manager at this stage of his career, but Dalton's experience, accuracy and ability to limit mistakes might be enough to lift up a Carolina offense that has struggled under Young's stewardship for the first two weeks of the season.

  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Missing another practice

Young (ankle) won't participate in Thursday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Young is tending to an ankle issue in the aftermath of Monday's 20-17 loss to the Saints, but the severity of the injury remains unclear. The rookie signal-caller was estimated as a non-participant for Wednesday's walk-through practice and will now remain off the field Thursday while the Panthers reconvene for a more traditional practice. As Newton notes, Thursday's practice is a critical day in terms of installing the game plan for Sunday's game against Seattle, so Young's absence from the field likely hints that he's trending toward missing out on the start this weekend. Before ruling on his status for Week 3, the Panthers will wait and see what Young is able to do at practice Friday, if anything. If Young is ruled out for Sunday or is available only as an emergency backup, veteran Andy Dalton would receive the start under center.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Not on injury report

Jackson (hand) isn't listed on the Wednesday's injury report ahead of Sunday's home game against Indianapolis.

Jackson suffered a stinger in his left hand toward the end of a 27-24 win over the Bengals this past Sunday, but he didn't express any concern about the injury when discussing it with reporters after the game. His absence from the Week 3 injury report entirely should erase any concern fantasy managers might have had about his health.

  • C.J. Stroud QB | HOU

Texans' C.J. Stroud: Listed as limited Wednesday

Stroud (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Stroud threw for 384 yards and two touchdowns on 47 attempts while playing through shoulder pain in Sunday's 31-20 loss to Indianapolis. With no report of the rookie having suffered any setbacks, he'll likely suit up again Week 3 at Jacksonville even if he remains limited at practice Thursday and/or Friday. Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports that Stroud didn't throw much during Wednesday's practice, mostly working on handoffs with the running backs instead.
