  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Sharp in preseason finale

Tagovailoa completed four of six passes for 67 yards and rushed once for no gain in the Dolphins' 31-18 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night.

As expected, Tagovailoa made a relatively brief appearance and had highlights on both of the drives he was in for. The fourth-year pro led the Dolphins on an 11-play, 74-yard march on his second possession, one that culminated in a field goal. He'd also recorded his longest completion on his first pass, a 32-yard connection with Tyreek Hill on Miami's first play from scrimmage. The performance served as a fitting tune-up for Tagovailoa and the rest of the first-team offense, and the focus will now shift to a Week 1 road showdown against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 10.

  • Bengals' Jake Browning: Makes bid for No. 2 QB spot

Browning completed each of his six passes for 42 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 21-19 preseason loss to the Commanders.

Browning got the start and led the Bengals to seven points on two drives before turning things over to Trevor Siemian, who produced six points on five drives. One of the two will be named the No. 2 QB to start the season, with the role taking on added importance in light of Joe Burrow's continued recovery from a calf injury suffered in late July.

  • Kyle Trask QB | TB

Buccaneers' Kyle Trask: Looks solid over three quarters

Trask completed 19 of 31 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 26-20 preseason win over Baltimore.

Week 1 starter Baker Mayfield produced seven points on two drives without throwing an incompletion, then Trask played the rest of the game with a mix of backups and camp bodies. It was a solid showing, and Trask's overall competent performance this preseason could become a factor if Mayfield struggles and the Bucs consider a QB change during the regular season.

  • Commanders' Jacoby Brissett: Solid to finish preseason

Brissett completed 10 of 15 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 21-19 preseason loss to the Bengals.

Brissett started and played the first three drives in a game where both teams held out all their key players. The 30-year-old will back up Sam Howell when the Commanders open the regular season Sept. 10 against the Cardinals.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Makes team debut

Rodgers made his first preseason appearance with the Jets on Saturday, completing five of his eight pass attempts for 47 yards and a touchdown in an exhibition win over the Giants.

Rodgers made his first preseason appearance since 2018 and officially debuted with the Jets following 17 seasons with the Packers. The 39-year-old was on the field for the first two offensive drives before ending his brief outing with a touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson. Fantasy managers are hoping for that scoring connection between the new teammates repeats often this upcoming season. Rodgers will make his first regular-season start with New York against Buffalo on Sept. 11.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Misses Saturday's preseason game

Huntley (hamstring) was absent during warmups before Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Huntley tweaked his hamstring during the Ravens' first preseason game and has been sidelined since. Head coach John Harbaugh did tell reporters last week that he isn't concerned about his backup quarterback's health going forward, so the team might just be resting the one-time Pro Bowler and making sure he's ready for the regular season. Expect the Utah product to continue backing up Lamar Jackson ahead of the coming season.

  • Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Finishes preseason on high note

Mayfield completed each of his six pass attempts for 43 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against Baltimore.

Mayfield and the first-team offense dispatched of Baltimore's second-string offense, with Chris Godwin catching four passes for 30 yards and a TD before he and Mayfield were pulled from the game. Those two and Mike Evans will form the core of Tampa's passing attack heading into a Week 1 matchup at Minnesota.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Broncos' Russell Wilson: Not expected to play

Wilson and most of Denver's other starters aren't expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson played in Denver's first two preseason games and completed 10 of 19 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown. He may not have top receiver Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) in the lineup when the Broncos host the Raiders in Week 1.

  • Alex McGough QB | GB

Packers' Alex McGough: Sharp in final exhibition

McGough completed four of five passes for 69 yards and had two carries for four yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks.

McGough got a chance to throw for the first time since the exhibition season began, and he looked good doing so, misfiring just once and completing a 52-yard strike on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. He almost certainly will not earn a spot on the active roster, but he could snag a spot on Green Bay's practice squad.

  • Colt McCoy QB | ARI

Cardinals' Colt McCoy: DNP on Saturday

McCoy didn't play in Saturday's 18-17 preseason win in Minnesota.

Afterward, coach Jonathan Gannon wouldn't say who will be under center for the Cardinals in Week 1 at Washington, per Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic. Prior to the team trading for Joshua Dobbs on Thursday, McCoy appeared to be the favorite to get the call in place of Kyler Murray as the latter continues his recovery from last December's torn ACL. With Dobbs in the mix, he -- along with McCoy and rookie Clayton Tune -- seem to be the options to lead the Cardinals offense in the season opener.
