With the loss, the Bengals have been eliminated from the playoffs and have some hard questions to answer for the long run. In the short term, they may even question whether it makes sense to risk Burrow re-injuring his toe in three meaningless season-ending games against Miami, Arizona and Cleveland.

Bennett (coach's decision) is inactive and will serve as the Rams' emergency third quarterback Sunday against Detroit, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

This is a familiar role for Bennett, who has yet to make an appearance in a regular-season NFL game. He can enter Sunday's game only if both Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo are forced to exit due to injury, illness or ejection.

As the emergency QB3, Milroe is prohibited from playing Sunday unless both Sam Darnold and Drew Lock leave the game due to illness, injury or ejection. Milroe hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since Week 5 against the Buccaneers.

Rypien (coach's decision) is inactive as the Colts' emergency No. 3 quarterback for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Though he began Week 15 prep as the only healthy quarterback in the Colts organization and was officially signed off the practice squad Wednesday, Rypien will be available only in an emergency Sunday. With Daniel Jones (Achilles) out for the season and Anthony Richardson (orbital) stuck on injured reserve, the Colts lured Philip Rivers out of retirement and are expected to have the 44-year-old start Sunday in what will be his first NFL appearance since the 2020 postseason. Riley Leonard, who was slowed by a low-grade knee sprain to begin the week, will be active as Rivers' backup.

Mertz (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

The rookie sixth-round pick has been healthy all season but is still waiting to make his NFL debut. Davis Mills will serve as the Texans' backup quarterback behind C.J. Stroud for Sunday's game.

Keenum will back up Caleb Williams at quarterback in Week 15, as Tyson Bagent is inactive due to an illness, Mark Carman of the CHGO Bears podcast reports.

Keenum has regularly served as Chicago's emergency third QB this season, but he'll bump up to the No. 2 role with Bagent unable to suit up. Keenum has plenty of pro experience in case he needs to enter the contest, but he hasn't thrown an NFL regular-season pass since 2023.

Bagent is inactive for Sunday's Week 15 matchup against Cleveland due to an illness.

Bagent was added to the injury report early Sunday because of the illness, and Mark Carman of the CHGO Bears podcast indicates Chicago decided to send the quarterback home. As such, Case Keenum will serve as the Bears' backup QB behind Caleb Williams on Sunday.

Howell (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Eagles' emergency third quarterback against the Raiders on Sunday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

As the emergency QB3, Howell is not allowed to play Sunday unless both Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

DeVito (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Patriots' emergency third quarterback against the Bills on Sunday.

DeVito will not be allowed to play Sunday unless both Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection. DeVito has yet to appear in a regular-season game in 2025.

Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Commanders, but he will be available as the emergency third quarterback, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson has bounced between being the backup and third quarterback in New York, depending on the health of Jaxson Dart. With both Dart and Jameis Winston ready to suit up Sunday, Wilson will be inactive against the Commanders but will remain eligible to enter the game if both of his teammates are injured or ejected.
