  • Deshaun Watson QB | CLE

Browns' Deshaun Watson: Comes up short in key game

Watson completed 15 of 31 passes for 135 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Browns' 17-10 loss to the Saints on Saturday. He also rushed three times for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Watson's lackluster final line tells the story of how sluggish an offensive performance it was overall in the frigid conditions in Cleveland. Watson found his most success when targeting Amari Cooper, whom he hit on six occasions for 72 yards, and he also put some points on the board with a 12-yard scoring scramble on the first play of the second quarter. However, success through the air was unsurprisingly elusive due to the weather and a stingy Saints secondary, leaving Watson with his third sub-200-yard effort in the first four games of his Browns career. The loss eliminated Cleveland from postseason contention, but Watson will aim to continue knocking off rust in a Week 17 road matchup against the Commanders on Jan. 1.

  • 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Cast removed

Garoppolo (foot) has had his cast removed and now will be in a walking boot for at least the next week, Fox's Jay Glazer reported on Saturday's pregame show.

The Niners will examine Garoppolo again after he can shed the walking boot, with the hope that he can play in the playoffs. It's not a lock that he'll replace Brock Purdy even if healthy, but the team would like to have that option.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Cleared for third straight start

Huntley (shoulder) is active for Saturday's game against the Falcons.

Huntley was a mid-week addition to the Ravens' injury report due to right shoulder tendinitis, a condition that first surfaced during the preseason. Though the quarterback was a limited participant in Baltimore's final two practices of the week before taking a questionable tag into the weekend, the team never had much concern about Huntley's availability. He'll pick up his third consecutive start with Lamar Jackson (knee) out of the lineup, and with Jackson's status for Week 17 against Pittsburgh still very much up in the air, Huntley could see additional action beyond Saturday. Through his first four appearances (two starts) this season, Huntley has completed 70.3 percent of his passes for 5.6 yards per attempt, zero touchdowns and two interceptions while carrying 25 times for 87 yards and a score.

  • Mike White QB | CAR

Jets' Mike White: Set to have ribs checked out Monday

White is slated to undergo scans on his injured ribs Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Per Rapoport, the hope that is White -- who is reportedly dealing with fractured ribs -- is cleared for contact ahead of the Jets' Week 17 game against the Seahawks. If so, he'd presumably be in line to start at QB for New York a week from Sunday, but if White isn't cleared by then, Zach Wilson would be a candidate to get the nod versus Seattle.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Done for regular season

Tannehill won't be available for the Titans' final three regular-season games and is considered "unlikely" to return for the postseason after undergoing a tightrope procedure earlier this week to address a right high-ankle sprain, a league source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Late Friday, Schefter relayed that Tannehill was in line to miss at least the next two games and was viewed as a "long shot" to make it back for the Titans' Week 18 game against the Jaguars, essentially matching what Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported. However, Schefter's latest update indicates that the Titans are already discounting the possibility of Tannehill making it back before the end of the regular season, and the quarterback's chances of suiting up in the postseason appear to be remote at this stage. For its part, Tennessee has officially ruled Tannehill out only for Saturday's game against the Texans, and until he's moved to injured reserve, the team will likely continue to update the veteran signal-caller's status on a week-by-week basis. Rookie Malik Willis will start Week 16 and likely for the rest of Tennessee's schedule, barring Tannehill making a speedier recovery than anticipated.

  • Malik Willis QB | MIA

Titans' Malik Willis: Should get at least two starts

Willis is expected to start Saturday's game against the Texans as well as the Titans' Week 17 matchup with the Cowboys next Thursday while Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is sidelined through at least Week 18 after undergoing a surgical procedure earlier this week, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Tannehill had a tightrope procedure on his right ankle after he suffered the injury during the Titans' first possession of last week's loss to the Chargers. Though Tannehill missed just one series before checking back in and finishing out the game, he didn't practice in any fashion this week after opting for surgery. Rapoport relays that a three-week recovery timeline typically represents a best-case scenario for these kind of procedures, but Schefter reports that Tannehill is still viewed as a "long shot" for a Week 18 matchup with the Jaguars, a game that could determine the AFC South champion. At least for the next two weeks, the Titans will have to turn to Willis, who previously started for an injured Tannehill in Weeks 8 and 9. Though the Titans beat the Texans and lost to the Chiefs in overtime during that two-game stretch, Willis wasn't asked to do much while Tennessee leaned heavily on running back Derrick Henry. Willis attempted just 26 total passes over those two starts, completing 11 of those throws for 135 yards and an interception while adding 52 yards and 13 carries.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Gets surgery, hopeful for Week 18

Tannehill, who is out for Saturday's game against the Texans, reportedly traveled to Birmingham, Ala. earlier this week and had a tightrope surgical procedure on his right ankle, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. He won't be available for the Titans' Week 17 game against the Cowboys but is hopeful to play Week 18 against the Jaguars.

While Tannehill plans to attack his rehab aggressively, Adam Schefter of ESPN relays that the quarterback is a "long shot" to return during the final two weeks of the regular season, though he may have a better chance at making it back for the playoffs, should Tennessee clinch a spot. Rapoport notes that rehab timelines for tightrope surgeries of these sort can vary, with a three-week recovery period having historically represented a best-case scenario. The Titans' decision not to place Tannehill on injured reserve supports the notion that the team is holding out hope the 34-year-old may be able to make it back for Week 18, which could be a win-or-go-home matchup to decide the AFC South champion. At least for the next two games, however, the Titans will turn the offense over to rookie Malik Willis, who previously started Weeks 8 and 9 while Tannehill dealt with ankle-related issues.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Could return Week 17

Jackson (knee), who will miss his third straight game Saturday against the Falcons, is expected to get back on the field early next week and resume taking part in "football-related movements," with the Ravens then set to determine whether he's fit to start practicing, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jackson hasn't practiced in any fashion since suffering a PCL sprain of his left knee in Baltimore's Week 13 win over Denver, putting his availability up in the air until he's able to start taking reps again. Though the Ravens believe that Jackson will be able to play Week 17 against the Steelers if he's able to practice in some capacity, the dual-threat quarterback will first need to prove that his knee doesn't hinder him when he stops, starts and cuts before he's reintegrated into drills. At this stage, Rapoport relays that Jackson has responded well to running in a straight line and on the treadmill, but getting back on the field represents a hurdle he'll still have to overcome. Tyler Huntley (shoulder) is on track to make a third straight start this weekend and will likely continue to direct the Baltimore offense if Jackson misses additional time.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Remains in line to start Saturday

Huntley, who is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Falcons due to right shoulder tendinitis, remains in line to make his third consecutive start, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Even though Huntley was a limited participant for the Ravens' final two practices of the week, Rapoport relays that the quarterback was able to make all his throws without any major discomfort, clearing the way for the 24-year-old to direct the offense once again this weekend while Lamar Jackson (knee) is sidelined. Fantasy managers planning on deploying Huntley in lineups this week will still want to confirm that he isn't included on the Ravens' inactive list, which will be released 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Uncertain for Week 17

Hurts (shoulder), who is out for Saturday's game against the Cowboys, is uncertain to play in the Eagles' Week 17 matchup with the Saints on Jan. 1, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Before determining Hurts' status for Week 17, the Eagles plan to wait and see how Week 16 action plays out with regard to the NFC playoff picture as well as how the quarterback's throwing shoulder responds to rest and treatment. The MVP candidate is recovering from an SC joint sprain in his right shoulder. Gardner Minshew is slated to start Saturday as well as any future games that Hurts might miss due to the injury.
