  • Jeff Driskel QB | WAS

Jeff Driskel: Won't play at Chicago

Houston won't elevate Driskel from its practice squad for Week 3, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It was previously reported by ProFootballNetwork.com's Aaron Wilson that the Texans were expected to elevate Driskel from their practice squad for Sunday's game at the Bears, but they'll instead roll with just starter Davis Mills and backup Kyle Allen. Driskel is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad one more time this season before he would need to be signed to the team's active roster in order to play.

  • Jeff Driskel QB | WAS

Texans' Jeff Driskel: Expected to be active Sunday

Houston plans to elevate Driskel from its practice squad Saturday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

It would be the third consecutive week Driskel is active for the Texans and the last time he'd be eligible to be elevated from the practice squad before he would have to be signed to the team's active roster in order to suit up. He's played just four snaps through two weeks this year.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Misses practice Saturday

Taylor was absent from Saturday's practice due to a personal issue, but he's expected to be ready to play in Monday's Week 3 matchup against Dallas, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor has yet to take a snap this season, but he's the clear-cut backup to starter Daniel Jones. With the Giants off to a 2-0 start, Jones' job security is relatively secure, so it would take an injury or a drastic dropoff in Jones' play for Taylor to gain fantasy relevance.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Questionable for Week 3

Herbert (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after sitting out Friday's practice.

Per Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Herbert indicated that the plan is for him to work out before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET contest before a determination is made on his Week 3 status. If Herbert is unable to start against Jacksonville, Chase Daniel would draw the assignment in his place.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

    Saints' Jameis Winston: Officially questionable

Winston (back/ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Carolina, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Winston played through the back injury last week, though not particularly well, in a 20-10 loss to Tampa Bay. He'll likely play again even after adding an ankle issue, but fantasy managers should consider that he may not be at his best while dealing with four small fractures in his back and now a minor lower-body injury as well. Winston was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Scores rushing TD in loss

Trubisky completed 20 of 32 passes for 207 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed twice for seven yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 29-17 loss to the Browns on Thursday night.

The Steelers' lackluster offensive performance will once again be the subject of plenty of scrutiny, but Trubisky actually turned in his most efficient performance yet in a Pittsburgh uniform. The 2017 second overall pick showed impressive chemistry with Diontae Johnson once again while connecting with him for eight completions and 84 yards, and he hit six different targets on the night overall. Trubisky looked effective running the no-huddle offense in the first half as well, and he notched a completion of at least 20 yards to each of Chase Claypool, George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth, an encouraging sign the veteran signal-caller may be getting more comfortable in the offense. Notably, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports head coach Mike Tomlin answered "definitively no" when asked if he'd consider making a playcaller and/or quarterback change over the team's 10-day layoff, leaving Trubisky to continue getting in sync with his pass catchers ahead of a Week 4 home matchup against the Jets a week from Sunday.

  • Browns' Jacoby Brissett: Sharp, efficient in Week 3 win

Brissett completed 21 of 31 passes for 220 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Browns' 29-17 win over the Steelers on Thursday night. He also rushed three times for 11 yards.

The veteran quarterback turned in one of his prototypical efficient performances that was free of turnovers, keeping the Browns rolling with multiple long drives throughout the game. Brissett also maintained the momentum he'd built with Amari Cooper in Week 2, hitting the wideout for an 11-yard touchdown to open the scoring late in the first quarter and recording seven completions for 101 yards on 11 targets to him overall. Brissett also displayed plenty of chemistry with David Njoku, who finished with a career-high nine receptions and caught the second of his scoring tosses. Brissett and his teammates will now get extended time to prepare for a Week 4 road battle against the Falcons a week from Sunday.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Remains limited at practice

Herbert (ribs) remained limited at practice Thursday.

Per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com, Herbert is considered day-to-day after suffering a fracture to his rib cartilage in last Thursday's loss to the Chiefs. While Herbert didn't throw any passes during the portion of practice open to reporters Wednesday, the QB was seen throwing Thursday, with Thiry adding that the Chargers plan to closely monitor how comfortable/sore Herbert is during and after practice. At this stage, Herbert appears to be trending toward being listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, though added context regarding his Week 3 status could arrive once Friday's final injury report is submitted.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Logs full practice

Jackson (right elbow) practiced fully Thursday.

Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, Jackson shed the sleeve on his right arm that he sported Wednesday and resumed throwing Thursday. With a full practice behind him, Jackson now is slated to start Sunday's game against the Patriots, as coach John Harbaugh indicated would be the case Wednesday. Through his first two games this season, Jackson has thrown for 531 yards and rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown, while logging a 6:1 TD:INT.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Saints' Jameis Winston: Stays limited Thursday

Winston (back/ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday.

Coach Dennis Allen told John Hendrix of SI.com on Wednesday that Winston would have a cap on his reps during Week 3 prep. Indeed, that so far has come to pass, but Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football noted Thursday that Winston seemed to be doing more work than he did one day prior. Winston currently is playing through four fractures in his back -- per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports -- and an ankle issue, so there's a decent chance he enters the weekend with a designation. The preceding will become known upon the release of Friday's practice report.
