Jordan Mims RB | TEN
Jordan Mims: Gets waived by Saints
New Orleans waived Mims on Thursday.
Just five days after joining the active roster, Mims has been cut loose by the Saints. Assuming he isn't claimed by another team during the current waiver period, Mims will become a free agent.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Upgrades to full practice
Stevenson (ankle) was a full practice participant Thursday, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
The step forward after a limited session Wednesday confirms Stevenson will be ready for Sunday's matchup with Buffalo. The Bills rank 25th in rushing yards allowed per game (133.7) and 31st in YPC allowed per carry (5.4), but New England's rushing attack hasn't been any better and could face game script problems if the team struggles overall. Stevenson is coming off his best fantasy performance of the season, having taken 10 carries and five catches for 70 total yards and a touchdown in last week's 21-17 loss to the Raiders (65 percent snap share).

Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Saints' Jamaal Williams: Comes off IR, still questionable
The Saints activated Williams (hamstring) from injured reserve Thursday.
Williams thus is one step closer to seeing his first game action since straining his hamstring Week 2 after missing the requisite four games on injured reserve. However, he was listed as questionable on the Saints' final Week 7 practice report, so his status for Thursday's contest against the Jaguars won't be confirmed until 90 minutes before an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Assuming he suits up, Williams will complement starting running back Alvin Kamara, likely in short-yardage situations as he's done in previous campaigns with the Lions and, before that, the Packers.

Craig Reynolds RB | NE
Lions' Craig Reynolds: Officially limited Thursday
Reynolds (hamstring/toe) was limited at Thursday's practice.
The Lions held out Reynolds from Wednesday's walkthrough due to hamstring and toe injuries, but he joined rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) as a limited participant one day later. With David Montgomery (ribs) seemingly trending toward inactive status this weekend after failing to practice Wednesday or Thursday, Gibbs and Reynolds may have the best chances to suit up Sunday in Baltimore. Ultimately, the listings of all three running backs on Friday's practice report will be telling for the Lions' backfield situation for that contest.

Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET
Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: Limited again Thursday
Gibbs (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
While the Lions' No. 1 running back David Montgomery (ribs) again was absent from drills Thursday, Gibbs maintained his activity level from Wednesday's walkthrough. At the same time, fellow back Craig Reynolds (hamstring/toe) had a cap on his reps after sitting out the first session of Week 7 prep. Gibbs and Reynolds appear to be the best bets among the trio to be available Sunday at Baltimore, but ultimately Friday's practice report will indicate whether one or both have a designation for that contest.

Kareem Hunt RB | KC
Browns' Kareem Hunt: Returns to practice
Hunt (thigh) returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Hunt missed practice Wednesday after logging season highs for carries (12), touches (15), yards (71) and snap share (37 percent) in a 19-17 win over the 49ers this past Sunday. Jerome Ford still led the team in carries (18) and rushing yards (87), but it's possible Hunt's share of the backfield continues to grow moving forward. The 28-year-old appears on track to play this Sunday against the Colts following his Thursday return to practice.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Won't practice Thursday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday that McCaffrey (oblique) won't take part in the 49ers' first official practice of Week 7 prep, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
At the time of his departure from this past Sunday's loss at Cleveland, McCaffrey was reported to be dealing with an oblique injury that didn't allow him to return to action. Afterward, Shanahan revealed that McCaffrey also was dealing with a rib issue. McCaffrey underwent a subsequent MRI, and the results indicated that the running back avoided a long-term concern and may be able to play this coming Monday in Minnesota. Still, with no on-field work to speak of Thursday, his status will be one to watch closely the next two days to get a sense of his availability for Week 7.
-
Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Giants' Saquon Barkley: Limited in practice again
Barkley (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
The Giants are managing Barkley's workload after he took 28 touches in a 14-9 loss to the Bills on Sunday in his first week back from a two-game absence. He should be ready for a huge role again this Sunday against Washington, having told reporters Thursday that he's avoided any setbacks with the ankle injury, per Matt Citak of Giants.com.
-
Travis Homer RB | PIT
Bears' Travis Homer: Upgrades to full practice
Homer (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Thursday.
Homer thus stands to return this Sunday against Las Vegas after missing one game with a hamstring injury. He should get some work on passing downs, if nothing else, rejoining a backfield that featured D'Onta Foreman and Darrynton Evans in a Week 6 loss to Minnesota. Roschon Johnson (concussion) missed another practice Thursday, and Khalil Herbert (ankle) is out for at least three more games on injured reserve.
-
Roschon Johnson RB | CHI
Bears' Roschon Johnson: Misses practice again
Johnson (concussion) didn't practice Thursday.
Johnson still hasn't practiced since suffering a concussion in Thursday night win over Washington in Week 5. Travis Homer, on the other hand, returned to full practice participation Thursday after missing last week's game with a hamstring injury. If Johnson can't play Sunday against the Raiders, it'll likely be D'Onta Foreman leading the rushing attack again while Homer and/or Darrynton Evans handle the obvious passing situations and perhaps some carries.
