  • Giants' Gary Brightwell: Gets five touches Monday

Brightwell carried four times for nine yards and caught one of two targets for 10 yards in a Week 4 loss to Seattle on Monday.

For the second straight week, Brightwell was the only Giants running back aside from Matt Breida to garner any carries in the absence of Saquon Barkley (ankle), though it was quarterback Daniel Jones who led the team with 66 rushing yards. Brightwell didn't do much with his opportunities on the ground, with his longest rush going for just four yards. Though the 24-year-old has seen more work with Barkley out of action, he's managed just 14 yards on eight carries over the past two weeks while adding 41 yards through the air on three receptions. Barkley has been making progress with his high ankle sprain and has a chance to suit up Week 5 against Miami, but even if he were to sit out again, Brightwell has very little value as a fantasy asset at the moment.

  • Bills' Latavius Murray: Surprise leader in rushing yardage

Murray carried four times for 32 yards and caught two passes for 24 yards in Sunday's 48-20 win over the Dolphins.

Murray surprisingly led the Bills in rushing, as the team had four players carry for between 17 and 32 yards in what turned into a lopsided win. He continues to show that he's slipped past Damien Harris in the pecking order, though both veterans remain behind the more electric James Cook, who has seen action on 146 offensive snaps compared to 69 for Murray and 45 for Harris. In terms of production, Murray has posted 125 yards from scrimmage and two scores compared to 96 total yards and one TD for Harris.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Zero offensive snaps in Week 4

Scott returned from a concussion for Week 4's overtime win against the Commanders, but his only snaps came on special teams.

Scott saw the field for the first time since he exited with a concussion in the third quarter against the Vikings in Week 2, but he wasn't part of the offensive game plan. D'Andre Swift and Kenneth Gainwell were the only Eagles to see the field at running back Week 4. It's not yet clear whether Scott's lack of offensive snaps will be a pattern that continues next week against the Rams, or if he was merely being ramped back up after his head injury.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Touchdown binge continues

Walker had 17 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 24-3 win over the Giants.

Walker's short touchdown run in the second quarter extended his scoring streak to three weeks, providing fantasy managers with 289 combined yards and a whopping five touchdowns over that period. The 22-year-old was not targeted as a receiver against the Giants, but he commanded 17 of the Seahawk's 22 running back carries in the primetime win. Walker will get an opportunity to rest from his scoring frenzy on Seattle's upcoming bye week, resuming play Week 6 at Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 15

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

Giants' Matt Breida: Gets 19 touches in Week 4 loss

Breida rushed 14 times for 30 yards and caught all five of his targets for 48 yards in Monday's 24-3 loss to the Seahawks.

Breida got a second consecutive start with Saquon Barkley (ankle) sidelined. He failed to find much running room behind a shaky offensive line that also allowed 11 sacks, but Breida led the Giants in receiving yards as Daniel Jones was repeatedly forced to check down. Barkley's hoping to return from his high-ankle sprain Week 5 against the Dolphins, but if the star running back sits again, Breida should continue to handle the lion's share of backfield touches.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Falls to wayside in loss

Miller had one rush for three yards and hauled in his only target for five yards during Sunday's 26-9 loss versus Tampa Bay.

Miller was limited to just five offensive snaps Sunday after he tallied 34 yards on nine carries during his NFL debut against Green Bay in Week 3. The rookie's role was replaced entirely by No. 1 running back Alvin Kamara, who made his season debut after serving a suspension for the first three games of the season. The 28-year-old Kamara shouldered almost the entire workload out of the backfield with 11 carries while also catching 13 of 14 targets. Meanwhile, hybrid tight end Taysom Hill totaled 10 yards on four carries while lined up at quarterback, and core special-teamer Tony Jones did not log a statistic on offense. New Orleans' offensive struggles likely affected the team's paltry number of total rushing attempts, but Miller's significant lack of usage likely indicates he won't figure much into the game plan when Kamara is available moving forward.

  • Derrick Gore RB | WAS

Derrick Gore: Back to practice squad

Gore reverted to the Commanders' practice squad Monday.

Gore was called up with Chris Rodriguez (illness) ruled out before Sunday's game against the Eagles. Gore played 25 snaps -- six offensive and 19 on special teams -- and had one assisted tackle on punt coverage

  • Royce Freeman RB | CHI

Royce Freeman: Reverts to practice squad

Freeman reverted to the Rams' practice squad Monday.

Freeman played all 12 of his snaps on special teams and recorded an assisted tackle on punt coverage during Sunday's overtime win over the Colts. Given this was his third callup from the practice squad, the Rams will have to sign Freeman to their active roster if they wish to play him for the rest of the season.

  • Dwayne Washington: Reverts to practice squad

Washington reverted to Denver's practice squad Monday.

Washington was called up ahead of Denver's win against Chicago and ended up playing seven snaps, all of which came on special teams. With Javonte Williams (hip) expected to miss some time, Washington could be in line to return to the active roster again.

  • Tyjae Spears RB | TEN

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Best all-around performance

Spears recorded 40 yards on five carries in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Bengals. He added three receptions for 18 yards.

Spears tied for a career high with 33 offensive snaps in the Titans' blowout win. That helped him to his most productive performance as a pro and marked the second time he topped 50 total yards across four contests. Derrick Henry continues to lead the backfield, but Spears has shown the ability to be productive and has consistently seen between eight and 10 touches per game.
