Etienne rushed 14 times for 114 yards and a touchdown while catching one of five targets for five yards in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Giants. He also ran in a two-point conversion and lost a fumble.

Etienne scored from seven yards out on Jacksonville's first drive for his first NFL touchdown. The 2021 first-round pick -- who missed his entire rookie campaign due to a Lisfranc injury -- then immediately got into the end zone again for a two-point conversion to give the Jaguars an 8-7 lead. He fumbled at the Giants' five-yard line in the second quarter but made up for it with a 49-yard burst down the sideline early in the third to set up a Trevor Lawrence rushing touchdown. Etienne finished with 19 combined carries and targets to James Robinson's one, so it looks like Etienne has taken over as Jacksonville's featured back heading into a Week 8 visit from the Broncos.

Jones rushed eight times for only 23 yards but brought in nine of 10 targets for 53 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 23-21 loss to the Commanders on Sunday.

The Packers ran the ball only 12 times overall in their third straight loss, but Jones more than made it up to fantasy managers with his work through the air. The versatile veteran paced the Packers in receptions and trailed Allen Lazard by only two yards for a share of the team lead in that category as well. Jones' second score, a 21-yard grab down the left sideline, put Green Bay within two points, but a last-ditch drive fell short. Jones' pass-catching production was a season-best effort for him across the board, and he'll look to play an integral part again during a Week 8 Sunday night road showdown versus the Bills.

Edwards (knee) rushed 16 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns and failed to bring in his only target in the Ravens' 23-20 win over the Browns on Sunday.

The Rutgers product somewhat surprisingly took on lead-back duties in his first regular-season game action since 2020, going into the end zone from seven yards out in the second quarter and one yard away in the third period. Edwards comfortably led the backfield in carries, with Kenyan Drake, who'd put together a 100-yard effort in Week 6, five carries behind him. Having seemingly proven the health of his surgically repaired knee, Edwards appears likely to continue handling a heavy workload as long as J.K. Dobbins (knee) remains on injured reserve, with his next opportunity to knock off rust coming in a Week 8 Thursday night road matchup against the Buccaneers.

Chubb rushed 16 times for 91 yards and a touchdown while also bringing in two of three targets for 16 yards in the Browns' 23-20 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

Chubb comfortably paced the Browns backfield in carries and rushing yards while also recording a rare double-digit yardage catch. The fifth-year veteran fell just short of what would have been his fourth 100-yard effort in the last five games, but game script continues to be about the only opponent that Chubb hasn't proven capable of conquering to date this season. He'll aim to keep up his excellent first half of the campaign when he faces the Bengals at home for a Monday night Halloween matchup in Week 8.

Hubbard injured his ankle during Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

With Christian McCaffrey out of town, Hubbard got the start in Carolina's first contest following the trade, working in tandem with D'Onta Foreman before departing in the fourth quarter. Prior to his exit, Hubbard had nine carries for 63 yards and one touchdown and gathered in two of three targets for 10 yards. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hubbard "could have come back in if needed," suggesting that his injury is viewed as relatively minor.

Mason (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Chiefs.

Mason will sit for the first time this season after the team's acquisition of Christian McCaffrey. The undrafted rookie will likely need an injury to find himself on the active roster moving forward.

McCaffrey is active for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs, Lindsey Pallares and Briana McDonald of the 49ers' official site report.

Three days removed following his trade from Carolina to San Francisco, McCaffrey will be available to his new offense, which comes as no surprise after both Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported as much Saturday evening. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports noted earlier Sunday that McCaffrey was in line for about 20 snaps on offense in his debut with the team, so it appears he'll be working behind Jeff Wilson off the bat. On the season, McCaffrey is averaging 4.6 YPC on his 85 rushes and has also hauled in 33 of 43 targets in six appearances, so he still could be productive with limited usage.

With J.K. Dobbins (knee) on injured reserve, Drake, Justice Hill and Gus Edwards will handle the Ravens' backfield duties Sunday against the Browns, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.

Edwards was activated from the PUP list on Saturday following a lengthy layoff, so it's unclear how much volume he'll see in his return to the mix. Last week against the Giants, with Hill sidelined, Drake racked up 119 yards and a TD on 10 carries in relief of Dobbins, so he should have an opportunity to build off that effort this Sunday, though once Edwards is able to re-prove his health he's a candidate to claim a solid portion of the team's early down touches.

Edwards lined up with the Ravens' first-team offense in pre-game warmups, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

This report suggests he could quickly take over as the primary running back, but Baltimore's distribution of playing time is unclear with J.K. Dobbins (knee) on IR. Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill also remain in the team's backfield mix.

McCaffrey is in line for approximately 20 snaps Sunday against Kansas City, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

McCaffrey was originally not expected to play this week after getting traded to the 49ers on Thursday, but he's caught on quickly by watching tape of every team meeting this week. After meeting with the coaching staff and studying the playbook, coach Kyle Shanahan decided to incorporate him into the game plan, but that exact role has been largely unknown. In his report, Glazer noted that 20 snaps is just the plan, but added a qualifier that it "could change depending how the game goes."
