Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Downgraded to questionable
Jacobs (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Ravens, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
Jacobs was cleared of a toe injury Saturday, but his status has been thrown back in doubt due to an illness. If the Raiders' early down workhorse is unable to suit up Monday, offseason additions Kenyan Drake and Peyton Barber would split carries in Vegas' backfield, with Drake likely taking on the lead role. A final verdict on Jacobs' status likely won't come down until shortly prior to kickoff.

Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Posts 80 total yards in loss
Singletary rushed 11 times for 72 yards and brought in three of five targets for eight yards in the Bills' 23-16 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
With Zack Moss a surprise inactive, Singletary was theoretically in line for a heavy workload. While that ultimately didn't materialize, the third-year back did finish with an efficient rushing day overall that was highlighted by a late 25-yard run. Singletary's three receptions were a nice fantasy bonus despite the fact they didn't go for much yardage, and he'll look for even better production in a Week 2 road battle against the Dolphins.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Solid all-purpose effort in loss
Patterson rushed seven times for 54 yards, secured both targets for 13 yards and ran back one kickoff for 25 yards in the Falcons' 32-6 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. He also recovered a fumble.
The versatile veteran was put right to work in his team debut, and he was extremely efficient on a per-touch basis. If Week 1 is any indication, Patterson will enjoy a strong complementary role in the Falcons offense as a change-of-pace option alongside Mike Davis, with occasional cameos in his old receiver role thrown in. Patterson will look to help the Falcons make inroads against the tough Buccaneers defense in a Week 2 road matchup.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Logs 89 all-purpose yards in opener
Hines rushed nine times for 34 yards, secured six of eight targets for 48 yards and returned a punt for seven yards in the Colts' 28-16 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
The versatile back turned in a trademark effort and even saw a nice rushing workload, although he naturally remained a clear complementary option behind Jonathan Taylor. Hines also tied Taylor for the team lead in catches while leading Indianapolis in targets in a game that tilted favorably to his hurry-up/two-minute offense skills as it unfolded. Hines' quick chemistry with new quarterback Carson Wentz was encouraging as well, and he'll look to put together another productive performance in Week 2 against the Rams.
-
James Robinson RB | NO
Jaguars' James Robinson: Disappoints in Week 1 loss
Robinson carried five times for 25 yards and brought in three of six targets for 29 yards in the Jaguars' 37-21 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also fumbled once, but it was recovered by Jacksonville.
Robinson was essentially nullified by game script Sunday, as the Jaguars found themselves down 27-7 by halftime. Notably, he also saw offseason signing Carlos Hyde outpace him in carries by four, which is certainly something to keep in mind going into Week 2. Robinson did have a solid role as a receiver, one of the benefits of what appears to still be a three-down role going into his second season. The extremely modest number of carries is mostly an outlier dictated by unique Week 1 circumstances, and Robinson will therefore look to have a much busier afternoon at home against the Broncos in Week 2.

Michael Carter RB | TEN
Jets' Michael Carter: Five touches in first game
Carter rushed four times for 16 yards and added a 14-yard catch on two targets in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers.
Carter and Ty Johnson each had four carries and one catch, while Tevin Coleman added nine carries without a target as New York rotated the three running backs fairly evenly. The rookie fourth-round pick has the most upside in the crowded Jets backfield, but it could take some time for Carter to separate himself from the alternative options as he acclimates to the NFL. Fantasy managers in shallow formats will likely try to avoid New York's backfield in general against the Patriots in Week 2.
-
Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Totals 108 yards in loss
Gibson carried the ball 20 times for 90 yards and caught three of his five targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Chargers. He also fumbled.
Perhaps more crucial than Gibson's final yardage total was the fact he commanded a three-down role, seeing more targets than J.D. McKissic (one) while out-carrying the combo of McKissic and Jaret Patterson by a whopping 20-to-3 margin. It certainly helps that the second-year back looked good with the extra usage, bursting through the line of scrimmage on a number of occasions. The offense may need to rely more heavily on Gibson in the coming weeks after starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was forced out of Sunday's action with a hip injury. Taylor Heinicke did well enough in relief of the grizzled veteran, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Washington rely even more on its star running back in order to take some pressure off the little-used backup QB.
-
Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Lions' Jamaal Williams: Totals 110 yards
Williams rushed nine times for 54 yards and one touchdown while catching eight of nine targets for 56 yards during Sunday's 41-33 loss to the 49ers.
Getting the starting nod while D'Andre Swift bounces back from an offseason marred by a groin injury, Williams ultimately logged just 32 offensive snaps compared to 63 for Swift. However, Williams saw the ball over half of the time when he was on the field, and he looked pretty good doing it behind Detroit's talented offensive line. While Sunday's output may be close to Williams' ceiling, the 26-year-old will warrant flex consideration in Week 2 during his return to Green Bay.
-
Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Eagles' Miles Sanders: Trademark efficiency in Week 1 win
Sanders rushed 15 times for 74 yards and brought in four of five targets for 39 yards in the Eagles' 32-6 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Sanders' final numbers were fitting, considering the third-year back often has turned in highly efficient performances on a yards-per-touch basis but still seen his overall opportunities capped. Despite the change at the top for Philadelphia, the same held true Sunday, but Sanders still turned in an encouraging effort from a fantasy perspective. The explosive 24-year-old will look to improve on his already strong season-opening numbers in a tough matchup against the 49ers at home Week 2.
-
Najee Harris RB | NYG
Steelers' Najee Harris: Solid workload in Week 1 win
Harris rushed 16 times for 45 yards and brought in one of three targets for four yards in the Steelers' 23-16 win over the Bills on Sunday.
Harris' pro debut certainly didn't offer any jump-off-the-page numbers, but the rookie's strong workload out of the gates was encouraging. He was the only Steelers running back to log a carry on the afternoon, and although he only brought in one of his three targets, the fact he was involved in the air attack to a serviceable extent by running back standards also was a positive. The lack of running room for the Alabama product wasn't necessarily a surprise given the matchup against the talented Bills front, and the rookie could well have a much softer task when he sees the Raiders at home Week 2.
