Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Won't play in Week 16
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Mixon (foot) won't play Sunday against the Texans, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Beyond that, Taylor noted "we'll see about next week" with regard to the possibility of the running back returning for the Bengals' Jan. 3 season finale versus the Ravens. In Mixon's ongoing absence, Giovani Bernard, will continue to head the team's backfield, with Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams on hand to work in complementary roles.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Limited practice on tap
Elliott (calf) will be limited at practice Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Head coach Mike McCarthy indicated Monday that Elliott has a chance to suit up Sunday against the Eagles, and the running back's looming practice participation Wednesday would appear to boost that possibility. If Elliott isn't cleared for the contest, however, Tony Pollard would be in line to head Dallas' backfield.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Not seen at practice
Edmonds (ankle/knee) wasn't present for the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.
What Edmonds is able to do at practice Thursday will thus be telling with regard to his status for Saturday's game against the 49ers. Edmonds is back on the fantasy radar heading into Week 16, after carrying 11 times for 47 yards and catching three of five his targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in this past Sunday's win over the Eagles.

James Robinson RB | NO
Jaguars' James Robinson: Expecting to play Week 16
Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said Robinson (ankle) will be rested in practice Wednesday, but the running back still expects to suit up Sunday against the Bears, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Robinson had a tough time finding open running room in last week's loss to the Ravens, accruing 53 yards and a touchdown on 19 touches before departing with the ankle injury. While the issue doesn't appear to be significant, the Jaguars appear set to hold him out of practice Wednesday, and perhaps Thursday's and Friday's sessions as well. If that ends up being the case, the Jaguars may take the decision on whether Robinson plays out of his hands, but for now, the undrafted rookie is optimistic that he'll be ready to go by the time Sunday's game arrives.

Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
49ers' Jeff Wilson: Clear of injury report
Wilson (ankle) isn't listed on Tuesday's injury report.
The 25-year-old sustained an ankle injury during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, but his absence from the injury report indicates it was minor. Wilson should operate as San Francisco's No. 1 tailback the final two weeks of the season with Raheem Mostert (ankle) back on injured reserve.
-
Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC
Vikings' Ameer Abdullah: No offensive touches
Abdullah returned one kickoff for 30 yards during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Bears.
The 27-year-old had eight offensive touches over the previous two contests, but he played only one offensive snap with the return of Alexander Mattison Sunday. However, Mattison suffered a concussion, so Abdullah could return to a minor offensive role down the stretch.
-
Justice Hill RB | BAL
Ravens' Justice Hill: Posts eight-yard reception
Hill reeled in his only target for eight yards during Sunday's 40-14 win against the Jaguars.
The second-year back from Oklahoma State registered his fourth catch in as many outings during Baltimore's Week 15 rout, though he remains uninvolved in the ground game. J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards combined for 106 rushing yards and a TD on 23 RB carries, while Hill went without a rush attempt for the eighth time over 10 appearances this season. Hill is expected to continue contributing as a depth option Week 16 when Baltimore hosts the Giants' No. 6 rush defense.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Listed as DNP on practice estimate
Edmonds (ankle/knee) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The third-year running back didn't practice until Friday last week, but he recorded 66 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown while running ahead of Kenyan Drake in a win over the Eagles on Sunday. It's possible that he's following a similar regimen, although it's worth noting that the knee injury is a new addition for Edmonds. If he can get on the field by Thursday's practice, he'll have a decent chance to play Saturday against the 49ers.
-
Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE
Colts' Jordan Wilkins: No offensive snaps Sunday
Wilkins didn't log a snap on offense in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Texans.
Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines handled all of the backfield reps in Sunday's divisional win, and both running backs enjoyed plenty of success in the process. Wilkins has fallen out of favor as a result, as he didn't play a snap on offense for the first time this season.
-
Ronald Jones RB | DAL
Buccaneers' Ronald Jones: Deemed unlikely for Week 16
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday that he views Jones (finger) as doubtful to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list in advance of the team's Week 16 game in Detroit, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Prior to landing on the list Dec. 16, Jones' playing status was in question after he required surgery a day before that to address a fractured pinkie finger on his left hand. Arians didn't clarify where exactly Jones stands as he looks to clear the COVID-19 protocol, but the running back seemingly doesn't have much hope of receiving the green light for Saturday's game in Detroit. If that's the case, Leonard Fournette would likely be in store for another turn as Tampa Bay's lead back.
